Negative experience: I recently heard about a deeply troubling incident at Ardkeen Barbers in Waterford. A friend of mine, who regularly visited the shop for haircuts, was shockingly told just an hour before her appointment that as a woman, she wasn't welcome in the shop, and the assigned barber was forbidden from cutting her hair. The situation escalated when she mentioned filing a legal complaint, leading the barber to delete incriminating messages. The male barbers consistently ignored her during previous visits, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. Such discriminatory behavior is unacceptable, and it's disheartening that someone had to go through this ordeal.

Negative experience: Very rude staff. Asked if I needed to have a booking, told by a rude man that they're busy and if I get to you, I get to you. Then I asked if they took card payment, I got a look that would turn milk sour with a response of yeah. Rude as can be and I'll never consider them again.

Fantastic experience: I walked in without an appointment and waited maybe 5 minutes tops before I was ushered over for a cut. The guy did a nice skin fade- very smooth (I kept running my hand over the sides and being like "dang that's smooth!"). Very relaxed vibe, no b.s. or loud irritating music like I've experienced in other barbers. Cheap too!
