Fantastic experience: Well hello to all I had my hair cut on 4/11 this year by Dilan put her under a small bit of pressure because I was married on that day, to say she did a great job is an understatement she did an amazing job so much so today was my return back to Dilan to cut again she remembered the day and my son and again she did a fantastic job way more than a 5 stars I watched her cut my hair as if it was like art I am so happy with my haircut again and again I will travel 1 hour to have Dilan cut it again. 5 plus stars easy Again I had my haircut by Dilan and again couldn’t thank her enough. As usual Dilan did a amazing cut, Dilan has always cut my hair to the way I want and it has always been perfect. I will always go to Edward Scissor Hands to have my haircut by Dilan, if you reading this view trust me try this place you won’t be disappointed 10 stars Dilan thank you.

Fantastic experience: As someone who isn’t overly intentional with how I style my hair, Vlad did a great job interpreting my vague requests and translating the reference hair cut to something that suits me.

Positive experience: Reservations are required. No walk ins. My barber needed more experience. He dropped the scissors and comb 4 times in a row. Forgot to line up my front at the end. No hot towel. They need to inform you that apprentices are working on you especially when you pay the same price. There were more kids getting haircuts than adults here.

Negative experience: Zero customer service, sat down and was totally ignored by staff, after I walked out staff member tried to help but my feeling about the place was not good. Sorry for leaving a bad review but in future acknowledgment of potential customers would go a long way, eye contact or a nod of your head that a customer has walked in would go a long way. It costs nothing.

Positive experience: I want to write the best review, I do... the service was great, the haircut was fairly priced, the premises are clean... but please, please stop trying to make tipping the norm in Australia. It is beyond frustrating to ask to pay by card only to be presented with the tipping options on the screen while the person who just cut your hair, and you hoped would serve you again, watches to see if/how much you will tip them! If you want to be paid more for your services, advertise higher prices! If a tip is something that I want to give, I want to give it because I feel like it, not because you're trying to shame me into it. I would have loved to come back for the actual service and haircut, but now I will not be.. this shameless last minute push to bully patrons to pay more last minute is really sad.

After the awesome reply from Arnold on my original Google Map Review and a great conversation on the phone we managed to do a work around for needing my phone number for Fresha Booking set up! A shame but not surprising the big tech company doesn’t care about personal data! Great the team at Edward Scissorhands do. C'mon Fresha change your app! Recommend contacting the team if you don’t want to give out your mobile phone number. Bookings can be done just on email. The gesture of the 50% off my next cut appreciated but not needed - I’ll try booking for my next cut! ✂️ 31st January 2025 This used to be my go to Barber. I’m sure still good but the new “fresha” booking system I just can’t get my head around. I get it’s a better use of time and more profitable but I’ve no idea why I need to create and account and handover my mobile phone details to a booking system for a haircut. Walk in used to be ok but this last wait time was 3hrs. There are other barbers on Carlisle that still are happy with walk ins. Pot Luck here x

My new 3 favorite barbershop spots would be this barbershop, edward scissorhands south melbourne branch and cutthroat barbers in south melbourne! it feels very luxurious coming in and you get welcomed nicely by the team! all the fade work is very very clean and sharp too! you'll be coming in and coming out feeling good about yourself! believe me! so give this barbershop a try! it's a must!

Fantastic experience: I had my first cut here with Elena today and she was amazing! Took the time to understand what I was going for, we ended up making a couple of tweaks in the way based on her advice and I ended up with a great haircut! Totally recommended, this is the best haircut experience I had in Melbourne by far! EDIT: I’ve had my last cut before Xmas and I’m disappointed that it didn’t meet the expectations that the last two cuts created. It’s a shame so I’m updating this to reflect that. 2.EDIT: After the holiday break, the staff reached out to try to ammend my situation and I just walked out with a great cut precisely as I wanted it with Vlad, so couldn't be happier. The fact that they went the extra mile and provided a great customer experience is something that will make me become a regular.

Fantastic experience: I just tried Vlad today, exceptional Barber. Very pleased. He noticed since I had fine hair, for him not to cut the top.. which I agreed. and Just fade the sides and use a bit of powder. I forgot how good powder is, and purchased some upper cut powder from him as well. Thanks to Edward the owner for hiring great barber's and I actually arrived earlier then my appointment time and he was ready to go. Positive experience: We have been coming here for a while now and my kids are well taken care of. My eldest gets lightening bolts shaved into the side of his head and my youngest usually a trim. This time my youngest requested a Mohawk style, which was tough given his thin hair. Calab was excellent and helped my 5 year old get comfortable with the clippers and style. Calab was very accommodating of little people who squirm and move a lot. He was very warm and helpful, also showed mum how to style the new mohawk! Booster in the barber seat and lolly on completion was a winning combo. It would be great if they had a iPad on hand to distract the kids with cartoons too. Recommend this place for your kids; the staff are patient, considerate and listen to what the kids/parents want - even the little ones!
