Expérience négative: It was my first time at Tommy Guns, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. I went in expecting a professional experience, but I left extremely disappointed. The barber seemed rushed and didn’t take the time to understand what I wanted for my haircut and beard. The end result was completely different from what I asked for — my hair was uneven and poorly blended, and my beard was trimmed unevenly and too short. For the prices they charge, I expected much better service, attention to detail, and skill. On top of that, the overall experience didn’t feel welcoming or professional. It’s really frustrating to pay so much and walk out feeling worse about your appearance. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone looking for quality grooming

Expérience négative: Stop shadow blocking my review!! I have been a loyal customer for over two years, but after my recent experience, I will NEVER return again. The quality has absolutely tanked, and I’m done dealing with their unprofessionalism. For months now, I’ve been trying to book with my regular Asian barber, but he’s either always fully booked or cancels on me last-minute. This time, I was desperate for a haircut and made sure to book him well in advance. The staff an hour after booking him called me ahead of my appointment time, telling me he canceled AGAIN and to come in earlier. I made sure I arrived at the new time exactly, but when I showed up, I was forced to wait even longer. Complete waste of my time! When I was finally seen, they assigned me to a blonde barber (Kriysma might be her name) — and what a disaster that was. She had zero interest in cutting my hair and clearly couldn’t care less. I spent MONTHS growing out my hair, only for her to completely ruin it in a matter of minutes. To make matters worse, I wasn’t even given the usual courtesy hair wash that I’ve received every other time. Absolutely unacceptable!! If I book a specific barber, I expect to get that barber. If they’re not available, don’t accept the booking in the first place! This place has completely lost my trust, and I’m done with their constant “shenanigans.” There are plenty of other salons out there that actually respect their customers’ time and needs. Save yourself the frustration and find a place that actually cares about your business.

The "barber" was itching his nose and mouth constantly and then would touch my head. When I talked to the I assume manager she brushed it off. For the price they charge I could go to a professional and trustworthy barbershop. Do Not go here!

Expérience fantastique: Shelly is my go to barber at the east location. Straight blade shave/ beard line up is flawless, as well as her fade skills. I’ve never left her chair with a haircut or beard line up that wasn’t perfect, and her head massages are the best!

Expérience négative: Asked for specific hairstylist for my elderly father. Receptionist ignored it. Small child was screaming the whole time we were in there. Then after paying the receptionist with cash, the other receptionist came out to our vehicle claiming he didn’t pay. They have no communication skills at this shop. Will never be back. Horrible experience.

Expérience fantastique: My son (13) refuses to let other stylists cut his hair. Where we live we don't have Tommy Guns. Tommy Guns has always been my sons go to barber shop for a few years now and each time we visit the cities we'll book an appointment for his hair cut and what I like most is each visit is the same. He's valued as a customer, leaves satisfied everytime and is checked up on after visits. I can guarantee my son will continue to make Tommy Guns his first choice for his hair cuts for years to come

Expérience négative: I went in for a haircut and beard trim today. The haircut was okay — not perfect or particularly good, but passable. However, the beard trim was a letdown. The neckline was left patchy, uneven, and irritated, with visible razor bumps. I even asked them to fix it while I was there, but the result didn’t improve much. It felt rushed and lacked the clean finish I expected. The attention to detail just wasn’t there. Definitely not the experience I hoped for.

Expérience positive: The haircut itself is good. But it's a joke trying to get an appointment. I called yesterday to make one and was told they can't make one the day before to call in the morning. I call in the morning and they say they can't make an appointment in advance the same day. To call closer to the time I want . Yet their site actually has a make an appointment part. Sad way to run a business. How hard is it to have an appointment book and look at it for an opening? you have enough barbers there can't 1 or 2 of them work on appointments ? So if you want a good cut go there but expect a wait. Even though their site says book an appointment forget it . Most other places take appointments . This place just gives you confused answers

The estimated wait time is based on what the system expects in terms of which services are being performed on each Guest and how long it takes for those services to be performed. There are times when a Guest may request an extra service while they are in the chair, a service may take longer than expected etc. and this of course affects the wait times for everybody in the queue. Expérience négative: Went in for a trim. That's it all I wanted. But barbers being barbers can't seem to help themselves. Barber cut to style even though I never asked for that. Now one side has a long bang and the other nothing. Super short looks terrible. Now have to pay someone competent to cut the other side to match and wait 3 month for length to grow out. It's amazing these glorified "Prima Donnas" ...barbers in general all think they are cutting for an awards show and always over do it. Yeah ok you like a fade on everything but some of us don't care we just want a cut a trim. I swear you tell a baber 1/4inch and they look at you like your from another planet .... number #2 ? You mean?....no I mean a 1/4 inch. Then they use the fingers to measure and they have like 4 inch of hair they want to take off. I say 1/4 inch and they take off 4 inches. Imagine if they were measuring something else I would end up doing adult movies based on their measurements. Barbers get a grip just listen to your customer no one cares what you think looks good they care what looks good to them...that's it. Barbers one deminsional. I personally can't wait for our robot overlords to make sure we get some good haircuts! Let's go Robotics!

There was a guy and a girl at the front desk who were very rude and unwelcoming ,they will give you a fierce awkward look once you're inside "how can I help you" with a plain face and a tone of seriousneas that makes you feel rushed or something . Just relax guys this is not how you suppose to welcome people ,a welcoming gesture comes natural, However I suggest you guys take some hospitality courses or front desk training ,You were quite unprofessional and unskilled. Expérience fantastique: Needed a haircut on the fly and stopped in at 7 PM. These guys helped me out and gave me a super great haircut. The fellow that helped me out was super friendly and we chatted through the process. He took his time and normally when I’m finished, there’s a couple flyways or mistakes. I need to touch up but next day everything looks absolutely perfect. I would 100% go back there and would recommend that you give them a chance. Good value for your money super friendly place super clean. Check it out.
Expérience négative: Honestly, I had a terrible experience at Tommy Guns ( East location in Regina). There was a woman who did my haircut. She was quite unprofessional and unskilled. I passionately waited for 12 months for my hair growth. And I asked her to do my haircut in a certain way. I even showed her pictures and she said she would do it. But she did quite the opposite. Even with the picture reference, she did whatever. Moreover, her nails were too big and I was hurt multiple times because of her nails. I will never go and recommend anyone Tommy Guns. I think she had to go home or something and did my haircut in a rush. The important point to mention is I called 2 hours before and specifically asked to book my appointment with the most experienced and skilled haircutter. And if this is what you have- then it is terrible service. She was wearing a white top yesterday (26th March).

Expérience négative: Why are the times so far off on the app? Booked it in says 19mins, drive there (15 min) and when arrive it says 26 mins still wait. The time before it said 36 mins so I booked in arrive and now app says 1.5 hours! I called to complain lady at front said she can squeeze me in, I get there and no line up barbers free why tell me 1.5 hr at 930am the barber isnt gonna go for lunch after 1 haircut. The times used to be accurate. Fix the app and give accurate times or get rid of it in the app.

Expérience positive: Meh. Not bad but nothing special. Longer wait than originally told but no biggie. Haircut was ok, beard trim was pretty rushed. It wasnt even lined up properly, had to fix it myself later. Definitely felt like they were just trying to push as many people through as possible. Could have just been a really busy day for them though. Might go back on a non weekend and see if its better.

Very polite to myself and overall good experience, however, I learned after my haircut that workers at the front desk were making fun of my fiancé while she was waiting for me to finish up. She told me the workers kept looking at her and whispering to each other and then laughing. Not impressed at all and will not be going back to this location. These workers should be reprimanded for such behaviour as it is completely unacceptable!!

I’m giving you one star for your poor booking system. Every time I register online there is an issue with your system. I registered my kids for cuts today and was told 40 minutes later (wait time was 1hr,9 min) that you could not accommodate AFTER confirming booking with you prior when we were already on the way. I was told our names were no longer registered. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. Two times prior having the same female stylist she told me my kid wouldn’t like a specific cut that he’s had multiple times and asked to have done. She then changed his mind and did a crap job of the cut anyways! After leaving my son said he didn’t like his hair cut or that she was changing his mind (he’s 8). She is extremely rude and pushy. Short with glasses. I will not return business to your location nor will I recommend your services to friends and family. Also your prices are outrageous and majority of the time you spritz their hair with smelly “tonic” instead of shampooing and actually washing it. On few occasions, as we WERE regulars, the male Barbers have been wonderful and my boys have been pleased with their cuts.

Expérience négative: Third time I tried this place and 3 different barbers. First time I got a shave and a haircut and when I got in the car my upper lip looked like a walrus. I should have went back but what was the point. I could do a better job with a Gillette. Second time was okey. Today was bad. Super rushed. Cut my neck with her buzzers. Again I maybe should of said something but I don't plan on going back so what's the point. It has turned into a fancy ultra/quick cut for guys.

Tha barber seemed more interested in bonding and giving me the Tommy Gunn experience rather than cutting my hair properly, which is the only reason I went to Tommy Gunns. Expérience négative: my boyfriend has gotten many hair cuts here up until now. he had booked a hair cut and told the hair dresser he wanted a mullet. he got the most uneven cut. he was trying to this his hair dresser what he wanted but the guy wouldn’t even listen. once the hair cut he had to come back not only a second time but for a third. these people truly do not know how to cut hair. completely uneven all around. gave him razor burn all on the back of his head and to top it off shaved a part of his hair off so it’s completely bald. each time we came back they’re were just rude and not even wanting to fix the issue. worst experience at a hair salon and never going back.

Expérience fantastique: It's gonna take a lot more than a haircut to make me look good, but these guys try their best. The digital check in system is really convenient, and you get a free soda or whatever while you wait. Shampoo is not an extra service but their pricing is slightly higher than competitive. You'll pay at least 40 bucks for a 20 minute cut. The biggest plus is there's less toddlers running around than you'd find in a typical "Quick Sporty Cuts" place, which is nice.

Expérience négative: The first time it was great, above all expectations. The second time however was horrible. I was poked in the face dozens of time with his comb and he kept clipping my ears, luckily I didn’t bleed. The final result was too short on the sides and too long on the top so I asked for the TOP to be shorter and he cut down the sides. When I did get him to cut the top I asked for it to come to a point in the centre, he cut off the point so now I have the opposite of what I wanted. This place is hit and miss so if you do want to try it go when you don’t have any important event’s coming up, now if you will excuse me I have to get ready for a gala now

Expérience négative: Request a specific Barber and Book an appointment through the phone half a day in advance. Get to the appointment 15 mins early. They inform me that the barber is leaving in 45 mins. No specific reason. Just wanted to leave early. Why didn’t they call earlier to inform me ? Why did they take the appointment? I received the most fake, insincere apology. They just didn’t care. That seems to be the pattern. Not going back. They will learn the hard way that the customer does not need them. Don’t go here if you are looking for a place that cares about customer service. There are plenty of other Barbershops around.

Expérience fantastique: On a busy Saturday, the receptionist communicated well about the waitlist. I enjoyed a complimentary can of Coca Cola while I waited. Best of all, my beard trim with Saira was $15 + tax and left me feeling fresh and confident. Saira is calm, down-to-business, and highly skilled. It’s easy to feel relaxed in her competent hands. Expérience positive: I can't remember what the name of the hairstylist was but she gave me a fantastic hair cut actually. I haven't always had great haircuts from Tommy's but she did a great job and was very attentive to detail. Also did a great job on the beard and I find that's a big hit or miss a lot the time. She set me up nicely before my trip to Mexico, so thank you!

Expérience négative: Normally I have a very good experience getting my beard trim however my beard cut after today I'm not to sure how many more chances I'm willing to give them. For starters I didn't actually get the full experience I asked for even after I brought it up mid cut and the cashier told him that I asked for original beard grooming( the 34$ dollar one) experience but he only gave me just the trim(just the regular one). I not only felt that the trim was not up yo their usual standards since there is a noticeable spot that he missed while cutting leaving my beard slightly uneven but he just had a very negative attitude while we were talking. I'm willing to give this location another chance since the cashier was super apologetic about it but one more and I'm not coming back.

I had multiple different appointments at Tommy guns, and each time Daniel Q was well-informed, friendly, and kind. You could see he really cares about his customers. Expérience négative: I was initially booked at 6:30, when I called at 5pm. I was then called at 6 and told to come early, so I did. I then waited on a hard plastic stool past 6:30, haha. What? Why call me in early? The hair cut was alright, but I am going to have to go to a second place to get it looking better. I asked for a clean look around the ears and back, and the guy just took two inches off everything and sent me on my way. There was a dad there letting his annoying kid climb and crawl all over the place, too, so that colours my opinion. Overall, a bad experience, and I'm usually not so fussy. I tried to crack jokes and keep things light, but by the end, I couldn't get out fast enough. Waste of money.

Expérience négative: It was my 1st time there. I did not feel welcoming environment. I have been to many barbershops and almost all of them better in all aspects. The stylist just called my name, did not greet me and just started walking to his spot and then did not talk to me at all throughout the hair cut. I sat on the chair and he lowered the back to wash and pulled my head to adjust. He did not tell me that they start with hair wash. We did not talk at all and at the end he asked if it looks ok that’s all. When I came back I realized he did not shorten side burns and also did not show me back of my head. Almost all places show you back of your head with mirror to make sure you are good with your back hair. I was reading other comments that they wash afterwards but in my case they did not so not sure about whether I was supposed to get wash after the haircut. I don’t think I will do again. I did not find welcoming staff. Or maybe it was me they did not like

Expérience négative: Edit for second attempt: Gave this location a second chance recently. Booked online, and received no confirmation via text or email, so I called to confirm. The person who answered confirmed my booking and wrote my name down "just in case". When I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment, the person at the desk initially said she couldn't find my booking, before clarifying that it indeed was there (their attempt at humour, at least given the tone of their voice. The waiting area is quite nice, with comfortable seating and multiple televisions, not something I have experienced at a place like this. Definitely a good idea. The gentleman who did my haircut and beard trim did a good job of rescuing my visit with a great job done. Overall I think I will be visiting the Rochdale location from now on. Even though it's out of the way, the staff there have never failed to be respectful. Booked what I thought was a cut and shave two hours ahead of time online. Went in, found out my name wasn't on the list. Was told next time I should call and confirm my online booking Why not just call and make the booking then?

She kept talking about it and how nervous she was as she held a straight razor to my throat. Asked for a beard trim and fade and barely touched it. Hair fade was garbage. Spent 100 bucks on a cut, shave and product. Stay away from this Tommy Guns!
