Experiencia negativa: Manager was pretty rude because I came in within an hour of closing. She really seemed put out. There was no one else waiting and staff was available. A good barber typically takes 15-20 minutes, so that was off putting. Barber was cool, cut was 4 out of 5. They nickel and dime you. He asked if razor my neck was okay, never thought twice it was “additional service” because other barber shops I’ve been to typical don’t charge. I won’t be back. Too many other great barber shops that don’t charge an arm and leg and value customers.

Experiencia negativa: I used to love coming here, but ever since management changed, something feels completely different — and not in a good way. The atmosphere just isn’t what it used to be. Scheduling has always been a little tricky, but lately it feels chaotic. There’s constant turnover — barbers come and go so quickly it’s hard to keep track. It’s honestly sad to see how easily people seem to disappear from the team, especially when some of them were really talented. The new manager, the red-haired head barber, often seems distracted and overwhelmed. It’s clear the position might be more than she can handle, and it shows in the way the shop is run. There’s a lot of personal chatter and favoritism that spills into the workspace — not exactly the professional tone you’d expect from someone leading the team. This shop used to have real charm and professionalism, but that sense of pride and care seems to have faded. It feels more about image than integrity now. I really hope upper management steps in before the place loses what made it special in the first place. Until then, I’d suggest exploring other shops that still value quality, consistency, and respect for their customers.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately I cant give zero stars. An awful experiment with a poorly managed business. I made a 430 pm appointment hours early. I received a call at 330pm notifying me that they were running behind and I would be closer to 5. I showed up at 450, they said they were running behind again and asked me if I could wait 10 to 15 mins. No problem. At 530, 1 hour after my appointment, I was 3rd in line to be seen with an estimated wait of 18 minutes. When I asked the person at the desk, she said "so are you just wanting to cancel." No respect for people or their time. I can't think of a worse way to treat a new client. If anyone else has any recommendations for barbers, please share and go there. This is not it.

I call the day before to book and they only take same day reservations. It’s never consistent with getting an appt. Sadly am having to start going other places that allow you to schedule.

She is the head barber @ Tommy Guns. She did a very very good job on my boys. She is very attentive to details, she takes her time never rushes, she listens and works with your needs, she positively engages with my boys, she has best shampoos & massages. Experiencia fantástica: I can honestly say that Mandy’s skills with clippers and photographic memory never seem to disappoint! I leave with precisely the haircut I asked for everytime. Hairstyles aren’t one size fits all, and Mandy is honest enough to tell you whether the style you’re going for is possible with your scalp or not, but she also has the skill to execute the cut to perfection regardless of what she is working with. I would highly recommend getting a cut and beard trim from Mandy and establish consistency, if you can. I’ve yet to be disappointed.

Experiencia negativa: I've never had any issues before, but today when I arrived for a walk-in appointment, there were no openings until 11:00 AM. So, I scheduled it for 11:00 AM and went next door. They attempted to schedule me earlier, but that wouldn't have worked with my plans, as I had already made arrangements based on their initial availability. I arrived at 11:00 AM as scheduled, and now they're trying to reschedule me for a later time. I drove all the way from San Tan Valley for this to happen. Tune to find a closer location

Experiencia fantástica: Just moved to Gilbert and saw Tommy Guns on a morning walk so I came back that afternoon for a haircut. I was a walk in, no reservation, so the wait was about an hour. While I was getting my reservation, Arielle was working on a customer and she had a lot of attention to detail. When I came back for my appointment Arielle was finishing up with another customer and that took a while but, again, she was giving her customer a great level of care with hot and cold towels. When it was my time, Arielle was polite, friendly and gave me the same care as her previous two customers that I saw. She said she had only been working there for a week which was surprising considering how professional she acted. It was a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back.

It was obvious that it was her last cut of the night, but punishing her clients is not okay. My son’s hair was honestly butchered. She was rushing, was cutting him off when he was trying to explain what he was hoping for, and she was aggressive. We’re not sure of her name but it was the last cut of the night. We’ve only had good experiences at this shop up until now. Reaaalllly bad service from this hair dresser. Being rude and disrespectful to teens is not okay. My son was respectful and kind and she treated him horribly. Hope she can get some continued training in customer service, treating each client with care, and the way she represents the brand.

Experiencia negativa: Disrespected and Disappointed, I am a barber loyalist and have had only three barbers since moving to Phoenix 30 years ago. One of which was at Tommy Guns that I will no longer frequent. I would say I am a great tipper, to the tune of almost double the hiar cut price and triple at Chrismas time + always early to appointments. I was pressed for time recently and wanted to get in a quick touch up before a charity golf event and a trip to Hawaii the next day. I went online and to my surprise found an appointment that would allow me to squeeze in a quick trim. I booked the appointment and also got a call confirming which I said I would be able to make in 7 minutes (I arrived in 5). When I arrived I found my barber busy with another client. Hmm, I sat for a good half hour but then realized I was getting really pressed for time. After another 10 minutes I asked about my appointment and found out the Barber chose to take a walk in over my slotted time. I was rightfully annoyed at this blatent disrespect and told the barber this was bad practice in business especially to a loyal customer. She cleaned up her sation and I sat down. After I told her the touch up I wanted, she literally took out her scissors made two snips and handed me a mirror saying she was done. At this time I knew it was time to go before I got a haircut that was unprofessional. My advice is don't go here if you want to get a trustworthy cut.
