Experiencia negativa: The mall and its surrounding are a pit. Owner does NOT maintain the parking lot-HUGE pot holes and grass growing all thru cracks in the parking lot. The interior is mostly vacant storefronts, and it more closely resembles a flea market than an actual mall. Food stands are lacking there. The only reason I go to this pit of a mall is to get jewelry repairs done at Auri's Jewelers, a place I highly recommend. Other than Auri's, there's nothing worth going to Washington Square for.

He can't do enough for you period whatever you would like in your hairstyle he will do his best for you.He wants you to feel comfortable in his store . he will work with you on appointments. He wants it to be a relaxed atmosphere. Basically you are treated like royalty when you are in that chair! Please get out and give him a try.

I hope in the future things get better for the mall as you may or may not know that there's only a few malls we have left in the city, I mean only two Castleton mall, Greenwood Mall. The other option is the outlet mall's in Edinburgh Indiana.

Experiencia negativa: This mall is definitely unsafe shopping there due to high crime. There needs to be a gun detector before entering in every entrance due to it. I suggest don’t come back there again due with the issue

Experiencia negativa: The property is poorly maintained. So poor that while trying to leave off the property I drove over a pothole containing several potholes and blew out my tire. Filed a complaint and there’s been no contact since!

Most shops appear to be permanently closed, and I feel sorry for those that are left as there are more people powerwalking inside the mall than there are actual customers. Online retailers have killed the local mall, and this mall is yet more proof of that.

Experiencia fantástica: We went to Fast Wok, in the area. The BEST Chinese and Thai food in the State. The line was wrapped around inside. It's worth waiting on. I get the Garlic chicken with cheese rangoons.

Experiencia negativa: Very ran down and deplorable "mall". I'm not sure how or why they keep it open. I would guess 90% of the place is vacant. Most of the lights were turned off so you're walking through a very dim lit hallway surrounded by maybe 10 shoppers total in the entire place. I do not recommend.

Experiencia positiva: Washington Square Mall, a.k.a. Washington Scare Mall as the local's call it, is a run down shell of it's former self. Most of the mall now is filled with local businesses which include many half price, shady jewelry kiosks, thrift stores and clothing stores that you've never heard of. However, there are some good stores remaining here like Target, AMC, Bed Bath & Beyond, Finish Line and a really nice Thai food restaurant. If you come here, you should be weary of the people you encounter, as their has been a lot of crime around this area. You'll probably get shady vibes as you walk through the mall. Also, watch out for the potholes because they can really wreak havoc on your car if you're not careful.

Experiencia negativa: It's definitely not the 90s anymore. This mall is a shell of it's former self. The Eastside deserves better, unfortunately the city just doesn't care. It's not the "nice side of Indy" so it slowly fades away.

Experiencia negativa: There are very few reasons to go to the washington square mall. I go there because there is a detatched AMC theater there that is great. If you want to know what driving through a minefield is like just drive anywhere in that mall's parking lot.

Experiencia fantástica: Although Burlington is officially closes. This is stunning one of my favorite malls. The floors are clean, plenty of security and decent prices. Although on Sundays many stores are closed MoJo Barber Shop is open and taking customers. The food court is small but have a wonderful Chinese food spot.

Experiencia positiva: I visited the mall two days before Christmas, and it was not bad at all. Lines in the stores moved pretty quickly and service was great.

Experiencia positiva: Very dark in the parking lot. Many of the overhead lights do not work. Was approached by several people selling candy in the parking lot at night. Might be a big turn off for people by themselves. Parking lot was very trashed. Stores are hit or miss if they are even open during posted hours.

Experiencia negativa: Use to be the funnest place to hang out but now is an overall safety hazard which i will never return to. The people are rude and there are constant fights or shootings. My family and i will not be partaking in absolutely ANY Washing Square Mall activities.

Heard Out-of-town slum lords haven't paid taxes and haven't done anything to make the mall prosperous! Sad the community has to drive 20-30 minutes north or south to shop at JC Penney's, Victoria Secret, etc. People steal from community but will go to Castleton or Greenwood and spend money! Stupid!!! Experiencia fantástica: I knew exactly what I was looking for, but misplaced myself in trying to find it. Staff very competently directed me exactly to where I needed to be. Prices were exactly what I expected them to be, and I am happy with that.

Experiencia negativa: Burlington needs to move out of the mall just like on the west side with LSM to Speedway and into where HH Gregg used to be. Also Bath & Body Works needs to move and really so does Target. It's time for Target to make that move again like they did years before when move from up the street to where they are now.

The destruction of these malls are children without structure and parental Guidance. Community churches the mayor Action Center need to get involved and start talking then planning. Start with parents hold the accountable.

Experiencia fantástica: With all of the closed stores with the exception of Target, Burlington, Dick's, and AMC Theatre, the large mostly abandoned parking lot makes for a terrific road course. Made teaching my daughter to drive much easier.

Experiencia negativa: The Target smells like urine, THE ENTIRE STORE. It hits you as soon as you enter and permeates throughout. The Burlington looks like it’s been whacked by a tornado and the air conditioning wasn’t working so it was like 90 degrees inside the store. I didn’t bother with the rest of the mall. Heading to the premium outlets in Edinburg.

They do have some good, natural cleaning products and some better snack products, but again selection isn't the best. Home goods are ok, but higher priced. Would like to see organic stuff.

Experiencia positiva: Things may be looking up for Washington Square. Lot's of new local owned shops with a more eclectic range of options than the average mall. I love that when speaking to a clerk,you're also speaking to the owner.

The mall itself looks like it is either preparing for or trying to recover from a zombie apocalypse as so many of the stores were closed. My daughters did however like the kids area, so 2 stars instead of 1.

Experiencia positiva: Well, retail is dying and this mall is a prime example. However, many of the businesses in here are local, which I like. They are always happy to make a sale and are friendly. Come to this mall with the mindset of going to a flea market and you’ll likely enjoy your time here.

I've bought cheaper from their sales the only thing they have that is 60% off is boots & that's off the regular price none of the shoes have been marked down like the email states.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm a huge fan of vacant malls. I like to be able to walk into any store I want without a lot of traffic, as well as not have to wait to make a purchase. Washington Square always gives me that option. I always go into Burlington or Finish Line whenever I go, and sometimes stop at a Local Retailer to see what they're selling. It's a "dead" mall, but I'd rather be there than in Castleton Square or God forbid, Circle Centre.

Experiencia negativa: Ever since this place lost the Spencer's Gifts store and Pretzelmaker Pretzel vendor.. It hadn't been worth visiting. At least when they had those stores in there I knew I'd at least be getting out of my car for SOMETHING.. This place is awful anymore and very dangerous.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Golden Corral and the fried chicken is the best. The corn was a bit soggy and the mashed potatoes were ok. The rolls were delicious and macronic and cheese was not the best. The banana pudding had the wrong type cookies in it. But overall the chicken was what I loved the best.

Most of the negative reviews I see are because of mismanaged expectations. This is less a traditional mall and more of a collection of local retailers and services.

Experiencia negativa: Went to a shop here and the guy wasn't customer Savoy at all. He and another employee didn't speak or asked if I needed help or anything. Didn't even acknowledge me when I approached the counter...and I stood there, made eye contact and smiled. He just kept talking to the other employee who was eating at the counter and offered him a bite as well. I came into the store cause I obviously needed what they were selling but the customer service at THAT store was very unprofessional today and my rating reflects it.

Experiencia negativa: Washington Square used to be great and was the largest shopping mall in the state of IN for many years running in the past,but unfortunately the area has suffered due to crime and many of the stores in the mall have closed their doors and moved out. I haven't been going to Washington Square Mall often for many years now,but the last time I went I was shocked at how few stores were still open in the mall and surprised at how far it has slipped from its former glory.

It happens like two three times a year.

Experiencia negativa: Simon Malls should be ashamed of this one really ! It seemed very empty of good shops and customers. The parking lot is in poor shape, you'll be lucky if you don't fall into a sink hole. Don't go here unless you want to get mugged by thugs.

Experiencia positiva: While it was a top of the line facility. It's age is really showing. It seems to be a more segregated facility these days. I would guess that 98 percent of all workers and customers would identify with being members of the black community. Everyone was friendly and curteous, just a personal observation. It sorta feels as though it is being prepared to be remade.

Experiencia negativa: Washington square Mall Isn't so much of a mall as it is a shadow of one. it is as large as a mall but most of the stores have gone out of business. most of the businesses that are still there are only there because the rent must be insanely cheap. This place is largely just used as an indoor walking facility now.

Experiencia negativa: This is an absolute shell of what it was 15 years ago. It's dirty and no longer holds any stores worth going to. And given their history, I no longer feel safe shopping there even if I wanted to. I occasionally shop at the connecting Target, but it's not at all the classy establishment you expect from other Targets. Such a shame.

Experiencia negativa: me my fiance and are three kids go here alot to buy lil things , we finally went into the arcade place !! with our three children and my 6 year old was kicked out for picking up a water which i know he was wrong !! but bring me my child we were instead of throwing him out and when i asked him why didnt he just bring him to me he acted as if he didnt know he was with us !! the only black family in the damn arcade!! i walked to the desk with all three kids with me!! i turn my head for one sec to help my other son play a game and they kick my son out !!6years old , the owner set there an then started yelling call the police because we wanted to know why he thought it was ok to throw a six year old out !!!

Experiencia positiva: I have a business here and am very happy. Everyone is very friendly and trying hard to make a living. If someone would decide to close this mall I would hope they would take care of all the businesses inside of which there are quite a lot. The crime is minor, way safer than Castelton. The last time I was at Castelton last Christmas it was also dead. Management is trying very hard to make this a decent place.
