He created a friendly environment that kept me comfortable and relaxed while sitting in the chair. If you are debating who to get your haircut from, it should definitely be Sonny.

Fantastic experience: Feb 28 — Barber: Red I’ve been going to Mio & Nick’s barbershop for more than two years now, and Red nailed every detail I requested. Mid skin fade with a clean drop in the back, tight blend around the ridge so it grows out clean, scissors only on top, longer textured fringe with no blunt line, and internal bulk removed without over-thinning. The front has movement and doesn’t feel heavy. It’s structured but still modern. You can tell he listens and understands hair density and growth patterns. Definitely coming back.

Such a welcoming shop. Nick greeted me as soon as I entered the building. As a walk-in, my wait was less than 15 minutes. Alex nailed the hair cut I went in looking to get! His line work is impeccable! I scheduled and went back the next day to get highlights added and my ebrows done. Mio was so welcoming, easy to talk to, and my hair looks phenomenal. The barbershop is located in a small shopping area, conveniently next to a bakery and a drink shop, so you can easily grab something to eat or drink while you wait. Firstly, there's ample parking right in front of the shop, so you can park effortlessly and step straight inside. The barbershop is impeccably clean with a modern design, featuring large LED mirrors at each station. They accept walk-ins, and while you wait, you can enjoy great music or catch up on new and exciting movies The staff is incredibly welcoming, and their skills are unmatched. It takes just 30-40 minutes to complete your haircut , but the service doesn’t stop there. They provide a soothing shampoo and massage to help you relax, and then they check your hair one final time to ensure everything is perfect . It's truly an outstanding experience❤️. Despite the reasonable prices, the level of service you receive is extraordinarily impressive. Mios Designs Barbershop doesn’t just cater to men’s haircuts; they also offer women’s , coloring, perms, and straight perms. If you’re looking for a salon that can accommodate your entire family, this is the place to go. I would rate it a perfect 10/10. This is the only barbershop in Honolulu I truly trust.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best barbershop on Oʻahu. The skill level here is on another level — designs, fades, beard trims, everything is elite. The staff makes you feel welcome and the attention to detail is unmatched. Worth the drive from anywhere on the island.

Negative experience: I PAID $360 FOR GREEN HIGHLIGHTS. before i went in I had been growing out my hair which had been previously dyed a deep red, but then faded over time. Before we started I showed Miao and explained that I would like different tones, like caramel, honey, blonde. I didn’t want it all one shade, but as you can see in the pictures, she didn’t only NOT deliver but she botched my hair. I get it’s not the easiest to go from red to blonde or brown, but color theory would’ve worked I feel. And she should know that, being the owner of the store and been through hair school. NOT TO MENTION the patch of red/brown literally on the top of my head just shows how much they were playing in my hair. Towards the end of the dying process her and the other lady just started brushing the whole top of my head with dye and I think that’s where that spot is from. Miao tried to hide it by giving me a middle part (i’ve never in my 19 years of living worn a middle part) I obviously didn’t notice any of these mistakes until I was in the sun started playing with my hair. It honestly would not have been such a problem if they didn’t try to cover it up. Now I have to pay another $200 (SOMEWHERE ELSE) just to get it fixed to what I originally wanted.
