Negative experience: Normally this place is awesome. However, today you guys dropped the ball. Booked an 11:30 appointment showed up 5 minutes early & waited 35 minutes with no acknowledgement or apology for being over booked. Appointments are for a reason! If you take a walk-in or double booked the customer with the time slot should know before wasting their time.

Just moved to Denton Co. and we found The DBC. The shop felt like "home" and Angie absolutely crushed my Son's haircut. We will be back, over and over again!

Fantastic experience: The Denton Barber Company is incredible! As a Denton local, I was looking for a barbershop to start going to regularly. When I stumbled across the Denton Barber Company online, I felt that it would be a good fit. Admittedly, I was still very nervous at my first appointment. But there was nothing to worry about! Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately greeted by a friendly stylist. Throughout the entirety of my appointment, I received excellent service from a hairstylist named Angie. Although I can’t entirely speak for the other stylists since I didn’t receive service from then, I’m more than inclined to believe that this group is legitimately the best in the area: not only because of their skill and expertise in hair, but because of the energy and vibe that they give to their customers. The atmosphere barbershop is open and welcoming: Angie was incredibly supportive and flawlessly executed the hairstyle that I envisioned for a photoshoot the next day. Throughout our session, Angie was very thorough, flexible, and consistently demonstrated the necessary mindset, skills, and enthusiasm that makes for the best haircuts appointments. Angie was very kind, answered any questions clearly with actionable answers, and genuinely blew me away with her performance with my hair. She is clearly a master in her craft, as I was completely floored by her performance and the final product with my hair. Angie also helped me relax, as I admittedly was a bit nervous due to having never gone to the barbershop before. However, by the end of my session, I not only was satisfied with my haircut, but I felt and looked good: all thanks to Angie’s handiwork and energy. I highly recommend Denton Barber Company to anyone who’s local to Denton or new in the area. This is a great barbershop that has a vibrant atmosphere, clean and amenable facilities, professionally gifted staff, and exceptional service for hair styling. I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend not only Angie, but any of the other hairstylists for an appointment.

Negative experience: One of there barber cut a patch in the top of my head. Then I had to pay for someone to fix it. Came back to the shop once they were open. I had to go back to work they made me wait in the lobby which was extremely uncomfortable. He asked me in front of the barber who messed me up , “oh you are the callin huh.” He made me wait till he got done cutting. Which took a minute but I the refund. I had to go to another barber which was very uncomfortable. And I had go to another barber to fix this situation which caused me to pay extra money. They also blocked my number when I called to let them know I was on the way. Me about the transaction number refunded me the money it took forever just glad to have this behind me.

Positive experience: My first experience this place wasn’t the best. Real simple, try to come in and get a fade and the person that did my fade didn’t do a great job. Sad thing was her and another barber were commenting on a previous phase that she had done for another employee And instead of trying to help her and make my experience good. I guess they decided to wait till she was done working on my hair. At the end of the day, I don’t recommend this location because the random bar they gave me was inexperienced. I also feel the $40 fee was excessive. I’ve got better haircuts for less unfortunately. I did like the comfy chairs and the offer for a drink in advance. I would prefer to have a better haircut…

Fantastic experience: I started going here about a month or two ago for a haircut and beard trim. Emmanuel had been the one who's done my work he does a good job lining things up and trimming mead head down to bald. I'll keep using them. Consistently do a good job and that matters to me because I'm a bit anal about the way things line up.

Fantastic experience: Full disclosure: I am a hairstylist with a cosmetology license and I am very particular about letting others do my hair: Caleb is outstanding. I have never encountered a barber with his skills. He is comfortable with every texture (curly or straight) and, when doing color, is adamant about interleaving conditioning treatments and careful application that does not overlap. He is also great with longer feminine styles (if you are a female with long hair don’t hesitate to book an appointment). I have honestly never encountered a barber with such a diverse skillset. He is also confident in his skills, and doesn’t throw smoke and mirrors at you. He is honest about every step and explains everything to clients. I honestly think he has the skills to be a celebrity stylist, so book with him while you have the chance!!

Fantastic experience: Finally found a place to cut my hair. Been to 15 different barbers, no one could cut it well. Place is pricy, but definitely worth it.

Positive experience: Great service with mostly good people. There is one barber I don't trust though and will refuse him if he is ever there. He forces tips instead of letting us give them. Kind of underhanded considering none of the other barbers do this sneaky tactic. When he is in shop, I refuse to visit. Lady Keys is the only barber we love and trust to cut our hair. She is amazing and the best part of the shop.

This epiphany lead me to the trusty barbers at ‘The Denton Barber Company’ and specifically to a stylist who goes by the moniker ‘Kuts by Keys’. By the time she was done with my shave, I looked so pretty that I almost thought I could be a Morris Day impersonator!!! (If only I could dance.) In any case, if you’re ugly, this little lady can make you, your beard & your haircut look like a million bucks or better!

Negative experience: It’s honestly so rare that I ever dislike a service so much that I leave a review about it but here I am. The atmosphere was awesome and the barbers were really nice which is why this place gets a star at all. This is my second time getting a haircut here (first time at the new location) and neither time did I actually get the haircut I asked for. This time specifically, I showed my barber a video of my hair previously and gave him the directions on how to bring it back to that style. Not only did the end result look nothing like I asked for but it took about an hour to cut even though my hair was maybe a quarter inch long best. Everything about the establishment (including the price) led me to believe these people were professionals in their field. I was wrong.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here consistently for the past few times and Angie has been super helpful and patient in trying to figure out what kind of style haircut would work best for me. I live pretty far away but making the drive knowing that I will leave with the haircut I want and feel good about it makes the drive worth it!

Fantastic experience: I went there this past thursday was immediately greeted by one of the barbers! It has an amazing atmosphere, comfortable seats, everything you could ask for in a barber shop. But most importantly my barber, Angie, was the best barber i’ve had if im being completely honest being friendly, easy to talk to, and most importantly the cut I got was the best i’ve had in my life. You can tell that all of the barbers there really put time and effort into their skills. I would personally ask for Angie, but i’m sure all of the barbers are just as talented.
