Fantastic experience: Always happy with the work of London. I ONLY go to this barber because she ensures a quality experience and cut. She also knows my hair the best and acknowledges my wants for my style. I am so grateful to have found this place. Cute homemade local goodies as well.

Fantastic experience: Camille was fantastic. Was able to get me in and get my cut and trim before the wedding I am attending. Atmosphere is laid back and highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Love Barnhart’s!!! Love Gary and Cassie — they’re both super reliable and listen carefully. No ego and so I book either based off of my (usually limited) availability. Cuts are reasonably priced and worth the effort that go into them. Make sure to budget a couple minutes for parking. You’ll usually get lucky and be able to park in front, on the square, but occasionally you may need to park on a side street and that adds two minutes. No biggie, but planning ahead will save you frustration in the moment. Vibe is great: welcoming and chill. A little gem on the square.

Negative experience: While the haircut looks great, I ended up with bad razor burn around my beard.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been here three times to see three different artists, and they have all been amazing. Jade was our first visit, she did my hair, and she was super charasmatic and did an amazing job with some very confusing directions, and even months later, although shaggy, the cut looked amazing. Next up was Eleana (Eel), they cut my wife's hair, and they did an AMAZING job on a very difficult cut for her. She loved it as soon as it was done, but the way it grew in was even better, and she is still talking about how much she loves her cut. I was just back in the other day and saw Camille, and I absolutely loved the cut she did, but it was a pretty drastic cut and I knew it would take some time for my hair to settle into it. Well, here we are a few days later and my hair has settled in amazingly and I absolutely adore it! I will 100% be back to see Camille, she was such a character and amazing to talk to too!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to Barnhart’s many times since I moved to Denton and I’ve never been disappointed. But yesterday was the first time that my expectations have ever been far exceeded. I needed a “beard trim” because I hate shaving at home and my stubble had gotten too long so I signed up and got Camille. She was so thorough and even had time to trim my neck and run back over my face with an electric razor. I was so impressed with her knowledge of hair that I asked for some advice on styling my long, flowing locks and she took time to explain a potential product and routine. I haven’t really found a lot of people I would trust with cutting my hair, but I would definitely trust her.

The vibes are groovy and the art on the walls changes every few months. They have an app that makes it easy to book and pay ahead of time, making the experience seamless and easy.

Positive experience: Walked in bc the sign says Walk-ins welcomed. But I'm wondering if we got turned down bc of my special needs son? I was greeted and welcomed but 2 minutes later said "he's actually my last appointment" pointing to current customer in chair. Barber stated he had a meeting- but I was parked right in front and saw others walk in? We are 3 weeks new to Denton & were trying to find a new Barber shop for my Son who has Down Syndrome- and loves "Fresh Fades for the Ladies!" Well, at least he was nice about it.

Negative experience: One of the worst haircuts Ive ever received in my life and I promise Im not exaggerating. This man turned a 30m appt into an 1h30m and then decided to charge me DOUBLE for him cutting so slow. I gave him two reference photos of my own hair and asked for that except to tweak a couple things and after that 1h30m he turned me towards the mirror and gave me the haircut I didn’t want. I felt so ugly I just wanted to get out of there and didn’t argue about being charged double. I did however ask that he fix the hair around my ears and even mentioned that I know he’s got other clients waiting on him and all he had to say was “Yup.” Like, it’s not my fault you are cutting so slowly and I can’t leave here with helmet hair. Overall, terrible experience and I regret going there for my first haircut in so long. Edit: I’m demanding my $60 back

I suffer from alopcia, which is partial baldness on my head, and hence I hadn’t had a haircut in almost 2 years. My hair was long and all over the place, and it made me look 40-45. After I saw myself in the shop with the fresh cut, I was ecstatic! It is everything I wanted and more! My patches of baldness are well hidden and I now look like a confident 22 yr old! Thanks Barnhart’s! You have my 5 stars and I’ll be a loyal customer for as long as I’m in Denton!
