Negative experience: If you're a guy with long hair, don't come here. I've been coming here for a long time and a few years back they had someone who was great at long hair but she's gone and it seems like everyone else lacks the skill. Which would be fine if they were honest about it but everytime I make an appointment I specifically ask "who do you have that can do long hair" and everytime I get a different name and everytime its a lie. Ive tried telling them what I want, showing them pictures, even pulling my hair to the length I want and saying cut here and despite that I keep getting multiple extra inches chopped off and styled into a generic style that looks like I asked for the #5 or something. The people are nice and its easy to get in but I think im done paying $70 and walking out telling myself it'll grow back

When I moved to North Fort Worth I decided to give The Boardroom in Alliance a chance. Best decision I’ve made! The staff, Liam and Haley, are so courteous and polite. Always ensuring to greet you with a smile and warm welcome. Beverly, who cuts my hair, continues to provide great bald fade haircuts. She'll give me advice when I want to try something new and ensure I'm happy with my cut before I walk out the door. So if you're looking for place that provides great service the moment you walk in the door, give them a try. The monthly plan I'm on is affordable and allows me to receive a haircut each Friday.

Fantastic experience: I recently got a Bald Fade, beard trim, with the full works. My stylist was Yesenia, she said I had pretty eyes, and said she would punch me, in the same visit. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone, I will be requesting her moving forward.

Fantastic experience: I really love this Boardroom location. Erika was my stylist and can’t recommend her enough! She was fast but gave a nice Benchmark cut experience with good massage and shampooing. All the barbers/stylists seem to like working there and talk with each other and their clients while doing cuts so it creates a comfortable social atmosphere beyond just getting a haircut. But if you want to just relax you can do that too.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing service. They rescheduled my appointment without any prior notice, and when I reached out for clarification, the staff was unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of addressing my concerns, they were rude and even hung up on me. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable service.

Negative experience: I was gifted a gift card for a haircut here. This was my first visit and it looked very nice from what I saw on the website so I was excited for the experience. It was less than expected especially for the amount of money It cost. Beverly was the barber that I was sat with. She gave the impression that she did not want to do everything in the package that I chose and said that she didn't have time to do the things that I requested because she only had an hour. I skipped the hand wax and massage so it took even less time. I politely voiced my concerns to the lady at the front desk and she gave me a card for 20% off my next visit which I won't need.

Negative experience: After being a client with the benchmark membership for over 2 months. I had been wondering why I haven’t been getting the services I’m actually paying for. I used 3 different barbers for head shave and the more expensive face shave not express. Not one of the barbers asked or offered the benchmark services. Very disappointed in being scammed to pay for something and not receive services. I went to another location they inform you of what is included and are extremely friendly most so that the alliance TX location. I’m one that listens rather than talks since it’s my time to enjoy. The barbers should be more professional. Discussing clients and talk disparaging about them is concerning. Yet, not knowing who or which is the manager seems that behavior is set from the top. So who knows how they speak about me. The other locations are much more welcoming and honest than this location.

Fantastic experience: Ive been here about 3 other times but this was superb. I got the Benchmark and it's completely worth it. Haircut was exactly what I wanted, used a razor to get perfect lines, then the massage was flat out amazing. The upscale vibe makes you feel relaxed. It's reasonably priced for an upscale barbershop amd with how you'll look and feel when you leave it's worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Called to set an appointment same day which was unavailable, however the person over the phone was able to make an appointment for me for the next day. The staff were super kind and welcoming when I arrived. I got my haircut with Nyssa and it was, hands down, the best haircut experience I have ever had. She was super kind and funny to talk to and did an amazing job cutting and styling my hair. Additionally she explained everything that she did in a super understanding way to keep me informed and aware, something that I have never had a barber do before. If you need a haircut, Nyssa is the person to go to!

Negative experience: “Walked In” 5/18 at 12:39PMish - and was offered a booking (due to a last minute cancellation) at 1:15PM This was perfect! I could chill, relax for 35 minutes and was looking forward to an awesome experience. Advised by “lady in charge” that if I didn’t provide my personal cell phone number they would not provide the services. I politely explained my reasoning for protecting this personal info (yeah, I don’t give my cell number out easily…that’s just “me”). I politely asked if I “prepaid”, credit or cash, and waited in lobby - if they would please accept my payment and allow me to experience this “Benchmark” experience I’ve heard about. I’m a great “tipper” as well Bottom line - if I didn’t provide my personal cell phone I was told they would not accept my money. About a 2 minute conversation. Whomever is running this place might want to invest in some interpersonal training skills to help this lady with her the very “superior” condescending attitude. And, if it’s the policy to refuse service from a “walk-in” that is willing to prepay and wait….just a customer values their privacy….well, then that one is on upper leadership. I found an alternate salon willing to accommodate my privacy needs…great quality experience, much less $, and superior customer service “skills” Peace!

Negative experience: I tried leaving a review on your email prompt, but to no avail. so getting back in the chair? no thank you...I'll find another stylist and salon...my feedback is not taken seriously nor have I had anyone reach out to let me know the issue has been dealt with.

Negative experience: They hardly ever answer the phone and if you need to cancel and appointment they track numbers so they can charge you account a no show fee which is insane don’t go here! Over priced for a haircut and horrible service

Negative experience: I'm writing to share my bad experience. I had an appointment on Feb 23 at 5:15 PM but missed it. I was surprised to find out you charged me a $25 no-show fee, which is more than the $18 service I booked. It's my second time with you, and you already had my card info. I wasn't told about this fee when I booked over the phone, and when I called to ask about it, the staff was rude and not helpful. I think it's unfair to charge more for missing an appointment than the service costs, especially without warning me first. This experience makes me question how you do business. I hope you can fix this so others don't have the same problem. I wish I could give a 0 star rating.

Positive experience: I used to go here for every hair cut. It's expensive but it used to be worth it. I stopped going because they didn't maintain that standard. Attention to the customer and to the treatment declined to a point that made it not worth the price.

Negative experience: Scheduled an appt, but they called and cancelled because the stylist didn’t show. They didn’t even have the stylist’s cell number to call and get an eta. I was traveling through town and didn’t have the opportunity to reschedule. It would’ve been nice if they would’ve tried to work me in, but they made no attempt. Ended up scheduling with another salon.

Fantastic experience: Alright I’ve been going here for a few months now. Every person I’ve used has been awesome. Not really a big money spender for hair cuts but this place is worth it. Not much for all the extras either but the ones that I have gotten they do a really good job. Today I met Jamal, this dude did an awesome job, super cool dude to chat with too. I think I’ve found the guy I’ll be requesting in the future for all my hair cuts.

The staff is very friendly and professional. From the time Andrew checks you in to when he checks you out is a OUTSTANDING time. Kim pays extra attention to what you looking for with your haircut. I never feel like she is rushing to just get the haircut done. The benchmark is like having a nice spa treatment. I have been coming to this location for about 10 months and I have built some great friendships along with great service. oh yea don't forget about the complementary beverage . Negative experience: I followed this business from another state and have been coming to the Alliance location for about 3.5 years. All of my barbers have been great, but this has to be one of the most toxic work environments I have ever seen. I have watched the manager, Whitney, yell at employees, be openly disrespectful to employees, allow other employees to yell profanities across the room, and retaliate against them by cutting their hours. I have had 3 barbers go through the exact same thing over the course of my time there and I can no longer support paying this business to treat people like that. Apparently Whitney is close to someone in HR as well who allows this behavior to continue. Until some serious leadership changes occur at this location, I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: This place is AMAZING! First off, I can get a free beer, haircut, beard trim, wax, hot towel, massage, AND have an incredible time hanging out with the barbers. I have used Kim and Nyssa and they are both awesome! They cut your hair perfectly or work with you until you love it. The manager Whitney is SUPER nice. She only cares about the well being of the clients and stylists! They keep it real. It’s not a boring place to be. I’m a member here and bought 15 months worth. This place is awesome!

Negative experience: Not busy Tuesday @ 3 pm but must have appointment. cannot sit wait for beard trim. It’s not surgery trimming a short beard. I’ll cut beard myself and save $50. This Starbucks mentality attitude with people has to go. It’s not good for business I Was not given an option to wait although I requested to wait patiently. I will go anywhere but this place again. The best dentist in town will let you wait in case of a cancellation. A long list of other shops at the bottom of this page that will respectfully take your money and accommodate you.

Negative experience: 11.23.22 - This is my 3rd and final experience with The Boardroom. The first two were at the 7th Street location in Ft. Worth. This time I tried Alliance Town Center. Hannah B was my stylist and it was one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. So had I had to have my brother-in-law try to fix it. but at least they are ridiculously expensive for the same barber college trained stylists that work at Great Clips, Sport Clips and your local shop. Go to those first.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. I have been going to the Boardroom for about 4 to 5 years. The staff at this location have always been exceptional. Very personal and friendly service. I have had a few stylists over those years, but Hanna is by far the BEST. I will always get the Benchmark service from her. While I'm always a little weary about trying out a new hair stylist, Nyssa did a fantastic job! Jordin has more than just a hair cut to offer, personality, communication, care for her clients. I have the benchmark and she hands down takes the best care of everyone. It is no wonder she is so difficult to get an appointment with. So I have booked well into 2023 because I won't go anywhere else, unless for some reason she leaves. EPIC experience, Epic compassionate care, Epic personality, EPIC time overall. SO for now I will continue to come back Juan at a time. Negative experience: While a good idea, I left with a haircut that was not much better than sports clips and a massive rash on the back of my neck from incorrectly set up clippers. I will not be returning. UPDATE: After two weeks, no one from the location has reached out or replied to my issues. Reducing rating from 2 stars to 1

Fantastic experience: Alaina is an awesome stylist, to the point where I feel the need to write her a review. I'm always nervous about getting my haircut because styling long hair for men is a challenge in itself, one that most stylists don't deal with and aren't accustomed to. On top of that I had never cut off this much hair before nor had I ever been to this location. However, upon arrival at 6pm on a Thursday I was pleasantly surprised to find myself with only one other person in the waiting room. I took this time to drink the complimentary Dos Equis I was greeted with . Once the ball got rolling Alaina was great about asking questions and taking her time. Example: I had only alotted an hour for my appointment which ended up taking about an hour and a half of her time. She was very polite and chill, I enjoyed the experience! Will be coming back!

Fantastic experience: Love this place. Hanna does absolutely perfect haircuts and is more a friend than just a barber/hairdresser. Staff is personal and likes engaging in conversation with you and makes the experience unlike any other. Any other place with just get you in and out, but here, your time and enjoyment are number 1 priority. You even get free drinks while you wait/get hair done. Love it 12/10.

Negative experience: The haircut was fantastic, but it felt impersonal for the price. The front desk offered drinks and a nice place to sit while I waited for my appointment and it was all punctual. My personal experience is that a barber holds some conversation, but for laying $50 dollars, I would expect just a bit more than 20 minutes of silence.

Negative experience: Honestly was underwhelmed with the customer service. From the description I was expecting more. The stylist asked what I usually get which I then explained I wanted to change things up. She then just proceeded to tell me I should basically just go with what I usually get. Okay… from the description of “will craft a new look and show you how to sport it” that seems a long way off from the service I received. The cut took a total of 17 minutes of which the stylist seemed at the least either hating her job or having a bad day which okay is understandable but create some type of small talk? The dead silence was awkward. To simply ask for gratuity just seems trashy. Even still I tipped a modest 20%, at the avoidance of being embarrassed. In reality the service warranted nothing. So I’m out 70$ feeling used like a cog in an assembly line. Thanks for the beer, cheers!

Fantastic experience: Kaitlyn was Amazing! Straight up Legit Professional and made my first beard trim of the year an amazing experience. I am telling all my beard bros to book with her!

Fantastic experience: I've been to so many other barbershops over the years, and I switched to The Boardroom a few years ago and have been there ever since! They set themselves apart from all the others, I love how clean it is and modern yet with a very vintage vibe inside. You can't help but feel like more of a gentleman when you get a professional and old style haircut experience from here. I always get very good compliments as well, so they set a great quality standard! I love how my haircut from the boardroom fits with so many of my different styles, whether it's suits, or polo shirts, t shirts or pajamas. They leave the mark you want to create! Hannah has been my go to barber here, and I am very happy with her professional and quality work! She is always honest as to what will look good on me and what will not, and listens to what I want to achieve with my haircut! She is very thorough and has a great personality! Thank you, Hannah!! I get the express cut, with a neck razor shave and have my hair wash. Not only do you leave with a nice haircut, but feel very refreshed! I recommend that cut if you're a little short on time, and the entire staff too is always very friendly and asks if they can do anything for you! Thank you so much, The Boardroom, for making me feel at home and the experience so enjoyable!

Fantastic experience: Signed up for a membership this year - Not only a great haircut, but the extras you just don't get at other places with the benchmark that make it a great way to unwind after a stressful day or week. If you're new, I highly recommend Jordin - she does a tremendous job & is so much more fun & personable than anyone that's done my hair in a long time. My only minor criticism is that I wish they would add Blue Moon to their beer selection.

Fantastic experience: My husband has been going to The Boardroom for about 2 years and recommends Jordin M for a phenomenal haircuts. If you are looking for a spectacular foot groomer I would 10 out of 10 recommend Nyssa B for a first class service.
