Negative experience: No available parking found within 1/4 mile of the store led to walking in 7 minutes late (Searching in circles for spots then walking added about 15 minutes to expected time) so they told me my appointment was now gone at check in and there’s nothing they can do. Gotta have better parking options or more lenient scheduling, especially when I typically wait in the waiting room 5-10 minutes after the expected appointment time anyways.

Negative experience: This was my first visit to the salon, and upon my arrival on Wednesday morning, I noticed that the lobby was empty. Unfortunately, the front desk staff and the team from the day before did not exhibit a welcoming demeanor, lacking smiles and warmth. I arrived 15 minutes late, and I had to acknowledge that fact. The front desk attendant suggested rescheduling my appointment for another day of the week due to my tardiness. While I understand the importance of keeping a schedule, I believe that good customer service should always strive to accommodate clients, even in unexpected situations. For instance, if the room was available and I was the only client present, offering to fit me in despite my late arrival would have demonstrated a commitment to customer care. In many service industries, such as medical offices, accommodating late arrivals is a common practice. A simple, friendly smile and a more empathetic approach from the staff could have significantly improved their customer culture experience. I hope that my feedback helps enhance the overall atmosphere of the salon for future clients. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Fantastic experience: I got an executive cut and a straight razor shave from Cynthia. She is always consistent and cuts hair very well. As barber she is one of the few people who can still do straight razor neck shaves. Definitely worth stopping by.

Negative experience: ($30 haircut) Sports Clips has better sanitation & cheaper. Being welcomed with a monotone “Thank you for choosing us” after being asked if I had been to any of the locations before. Walking into a stall full of the prior persons hair still on the chair and floor. Hearing sniffles from the person cutting my hair. Telling them what I normally get from other places and they go a few lengths longer. Comments of “you needed this haircut” followed by no context. Asking if I’d want product in my hair; prior to the non existent wash. Started sweeping hair while I sat there. (When did this happen prior to me sitting) Went straight home to wash my hair due to not trusting the cleanliness of the experience and having snippets of hair on my head. Only to find longer hairs still intact, hairs in my hands when I feel the finished quality. Overall I’ve been telling people to avoid this place due to the lack of professionalism of cleanliness and disregard. Thanks for the commentary soda.
Fantastic experience: My last haircut at the Hair Saloon in Webster Groves was done by Marjorie about 6 weeks ago in May. She did an excellent job! My hair is challenging: cowlicks and spiky, but she knows how to tame it. And she can do scalp massage that will make your day.

Fantastic experience: I love the Webster location. The staff is always friendly and expedient. Cynthia (my stylist) has always focused on attention to detail and is very in-tune with her clients’ styling needs. I am a very particular person and also a small business owner. I am very impressed with her positive attitude and professionalism. She is very welcoming to input about her cuts and it’s obvious that she cares about the approval of her clients. Be sure to book in advance. Her schedule fills quickly.
Negative experience: Terrible service . Over priced , won't be back again . The manager Jo (female) was very rude and you guys lost a customer. Update:it’s 2024 now and still have not been back, visit Midtown Barber Shop they are beyond amazing. Morgan the owner, let’s say she is simply fabulous. Go there and do yourself a favor don’t visit this place. I personally have Emily do my fades and taper, she’s on point and straight razors to perfection.

Negative experience: I have to say I’m done with Hair Saloon. I had a premium haircut for $40 and was in the chair for 12 minutes. Admittedly the cut was ok but the scalp massage was 2 minutes at most and she didn’t even wash my hair. She just rinsed it and towel dried it. I’m done with this volume first franchise and I’ve been a customer for at least 10 years

This is the second time in a row that I have been treated poorly and disrespected. The employee is a brunette named Cynthia. This was the first interaction... She asked me if I were going to get the same haircut on file. I said, "No, I wanted a long mullet." Her response, "Mullets aren't long. It supposed to be short in the front." Very snooty. My reply, "Well, how about an improvised mullet." With a smile in hopes of adding some normalcy to the situation because i could tell she was upset. Her reply, "It wouldn't be a mullet." I said, "I think I'm going to cancel the appointment." Her reply, "I'll give you the haircut you want but it wouldn't be a mullet." I foolishly said,"Sure. Could we start with a shampoo." Her reply, "Sure, I've just never done that before."With a heavily implied tone that I'm a disgusting person. So... I didn't say another word the entire time. I should have just left. The right side of my fade wasn't even blended properly. My lady friend pointed it out to me. The left side was done properly. When I walked over to pay she ran into the back office and didn't thank me. I said to the receptionist who happened to be the same receptionist I dealt with this time. "Boy, she's very upset. Tell her I said sorry and left her a 5 dollar tip." It was the worst service I've ever had but I just thought maybe she was going through something personal. She's probably in her late 30's or early 40's, and cares for a family Second interaction... I called up to see if they had any availability tonight. I was told Cynthia is available at 520. I said, "great." Not even thinking it would be the same person. I arrived 10 mins early. Checked-in. I was given a water. I sat patiently until 531. I approached the receptionist and asked if there was an issue with Cynthia. She kindly said that "She's just running behind." I said okay. Then 5:37 rolls around and I see the unpleasant person I had dealt with last time. Then, she proceeds to show pictures of something to her current client. In the middle of showing one of the pictures he hands her the cash tip in an attempt to end the interaction. She continued to show pictures. Haircuts at your establishment run on 20 min appointments. I noticed that the receptionist said, "He's waiting for you." She disregarded the receptionist and continued to flirt with what was probably a married man who had already given a cash tip to her. I politely walked up to the receptionist and explained that I had somewhere to be now. I had a dinner engagement at 630. She apologized for the experience. The receptionist was amazing. I asked for the managers name. She hand me her card. I left around 540 without my haircut. I have a date tonight and an important appointment on Monday. This was all due to poor time management, disrespect, and someone not valuing my time or business. I haven't been treated this poorly in a service industry. I manage property and own a construction business. I get it. I look a little bit rough for Webster. It doesn't mean that I should be treated poorly. I've been coming there for Three years now. Think of all the other business she is pushing out because of her negative attitude. I didn't get the haircut. You guys lost out on 30 dollars in revenue. She missed out on a 10 dollar tip. This is a lose-lose all around. Good luck with her Joanna.

Negative experience: I hope you are early or you will be refused. My sons appointment was at 4pm. We were at the site at before 4pm but were dealing with downtown Webster traffic and parking. We walked in at 4:06 and were refused service. The employee said you must be right on time or early or they refuse service. Thanks for your flexibility!

Fantastic experience: Came in for a cut in Jan. 2023. Cynthia did a great job and was very responsive to how I wanted the cut to look.
Negative experience: Worst haircut I ever had. Online I put a zero fade and right when I got there she had to go in the back and ask what a zero fade is. Instead of fading up, she started right at my hairline and shaved all my hair on one side of my head. Then explained that this is a blending haircut, not a fade when I specifically asked for a fade. Each side of my head is different because she had no hair to blend on one side. When I finished she told me this is a classic or premium haircut, not a zero fade. Acting like she saved me money but instead tried to cover up that she didn’t give me the right haircut.
Fantastic experience: A system error that caused a miscommunication with my fiancé’s haircut service was completely resolved by a friendly call from Amy. They were quick to provide a solution and we’re happy to return for another great haircut in the future!

Negative experience: My dad comes here and honestly has had no issues so I am not trying to slander the hair stylists in anyway because I personally have never been here for a service. My grandpa also now is a client here because of my dad. I am a major protector of both and will do anything for them. Today my grandpa rang my doorbell and said he just stopped by. I right away knew something was off because he NEVER leaves my grandma alone at the house unless he has a haircut or he’s grocery shopping, otherwise they are stuck together like glue. He drives 25 minutes from south county to Webster which is where I live as well as my dad. He was not upset but said he went to his haircut appointment and was told at the front desk that his person wasn’t in today and that they emailed him. They said the email aloud to him and he told them he’d never heard of that email and the girl just said “oh”. Clearly wrong email and he was not alerted any other way. He did reschedule with the front desk person and left. I was not happy about this and decided to call after he left to just kindly explain that my grandpa was just there and had to leave because of the girl not being there. The exact words of the person who I spoke on the phone said “we called early this morning, left a message, and didn’t hear back”. She said nothing about an email. My grandparents always answer their phone at home and he would have simply rescheduled with them no problem. She lied but I did not argue with her instead I said I would then take care of it since there was no effort to correct this themselves as a business. I prepaid and still added a tip again nothing against the stylist or wanting to be confrontational because what’s the point of that when clearly they don’t care enough. I’m 100% disappointed in the customer service and only hope they do better.

Negative experience: Just awful Unprofessional... Barber Kimberly D was 13 min late... after starting to cut asking that service was was not same charge as a Premium cut and lack of time she will see what she can do and rushing to finish up a basic fade haircut.... so I ended up getting no shampoo no massage just handed me a hot towel ... and now I come home and see the back side cut of my hair was not even aligned ... Just few sweet people in the service desk. Was 1st and last time...Not coming back! They Need trained barbers not some pandemic self taught trimmer warriors !!! Very disappointing was expecting some professional experience.
Fantastic experience: Always love men’s hair saloon, was first time visiting this location will definitely return again for my next appointment. My haircut is fairly simple but always know it will be a bit difficult to deal with since my hair is super thick and knots up daily, but my stylist was able to get exactly they haircut I wanted in the time needed even though she had to deal with the stress of a large amount of clients unexpected for a tuesday and my diffficult hair. Even reminded me to vote which I was planning on doing that day anyways but also have bad ADHD so can be forgetful at times (I even literally went to the polling place right after because of her reminder!). She was great in getting the style I wanted and was very enjoyable to talk with even though I am mostly a quiet person. I highly recommend this location. Great experience all around.
