Fantastic experience: Great barber shop cut really good

Negative experience: I had an 11:30 appointment with Shawn to cut my son FIRST hair cut. I was referred by a friend. but My baby was so excited. We were excited to know that it was black own. When I arrived to GEE’S clipper’s we wasn’t greeted but I was fine with that due to it was a Saturday Morning. My husband ask around as we entered the building, who was Mr. Shawn, found him and he was like give me a hour or so. What!! We have appointments. He was like I’m running behind. No, call or communication saying hey I’m running behind. I look at my son face he was looking so, sad. He didn’t even say NOTHING to my baby. I feel Like he didn’t even care and he was very unbothered. Unfortunately it’s sad when you try to support your own people. Anywho we have appointments with another gentleman on the south side who was very pleasant and who greeting my little one.

Negative experience: Sat there from 8:30 until 10 never was spoken to had 5 people go before I got up and walked out. Barbers were standing around for minutes on in waiting on people to come instead of helping others out. If you don’t do walk-ins you should have a sign up or let people know when they walk-in and not just let them sit there for over an hour and walk out. Services sucks!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at Gee’s clippers and my barber Dominick was exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I booked the appointment he texted me to ask me what style I had in mind. When I walked into the place, everybody greeted me right away. Dominick paid close attention to detail, making sure everything was sharp and clean. He spent a lot of time on me. The cut was flawless, I walked out feeling confident and fresh. Highly recommend if you’re looking for precision and a barber who knows their craft! Absolute worth the money. I’ll be coming back for sure. Negative experience: I scheduled a cut from this barber named Chuck at 1pm I was waiting since 12 30 1255 he got done at 12 55 and took someone else when I was supposed to get cut next he got mad when I told him I was next he started yelling and cussing at me and told me to go to someone else real unprofessional I wait for a week to get cut for him to get cuss me out just because he let someone get cut before me and he did all of that in front of my 5 year son if guys come to this shop please don't go to him unless you want this guy to cuss you out in front of your kids i would never come to this shop ever in life again

Fantastic experience: Got lucky and was able to walk right into a chair very professional barber who did an excellent job. The barbers is known as JCStyles and cutz aims to please.

Positive experience: Quite costly! I mean, these folks are good cutters, but the price for just a lining, you'd think that you were paying a surgeon! I don't know if it's because they get athletes in there that they think everyone gets that kind of a paycheck? Sorry folks, but $36 for just a lining definitely was my first and last time. Plus, it is only street parking and very, very limited with no handicap parking available.

Negative experience: I went there today like an hour ago and I never got a haircut i went in there had me waiting for somebody to cut my hair somebody came who worked there and took somebody who wasn't there before I was and I was there first I wouldn't go there to get my haircut with dustys working in there and it felt it wasnt a professional business to get our haircut at

Barber although young was skilled in his craft, courteous and respectful of my wishes regarding my haircut. Great experience. Suggestions: Offer/post seniors/veterans rates(my visit was on Veterans Day) also provide receipts upon request for services rendered.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service every time I go in for a haircut.

Positive experience: An amazingly well run spacious establishment where young and older professional barbers and beauty technicians provided services from one the(approximately) 24 chair stations, aligned along walls. Seating was arranged in the middle corridor which provided customers an unobstructed view of the several large TV monitors mounted overhead between the framed jerseys of famous sports stars. Most clientele seemed to have established appointments, so wait time was very brief. At the peak business, the place was abuzz with activity but the atmosphere felt safe, sociable and reasonably clean. The customers ranged from as young as age 3, to seniors who navigated slowly, some using walking canes. "The restrooms were clean too." I actually spoke with many patrons of varying ethnicities and of course with varying textures of hair. Noticeably at the end of each appointment, the customer appeared well styled and groomed. One customer was observed paying electronically.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Gee's so long enough it feels like I am going back home every time I go inside, there is magic happening inside and if you been there you know it. It is possible you can't put your finger on what it is but you know when you left that something happened to you leaving feeling transformed but more your your self then before you walked through the doors

Fantastic experience: The "Souls-to-the-Polls" group along with "Power-to-the-Polls" put on a fantastic display of organized political will to inform and garner the support necessary for this very important election. Great setting, food, music and enthusiasm all the elements were there, now comes the work of getting out the vote.

Fantastic experience: I was there for a get-out-the-vote rally sponsored by "Souls-to-the-Polls" and "Power-to-the-Polls." It was an exciting time with the permission of the owner. Food, music, and fellowship. There was a large number of media, guest speakers like our current interim Mayor Cavalier ""Chey" Johnson as well as other politicians and speakers; rallying the community to help get out the vote. I might add, the shop was open for business also. PLEASE VOTE!

Fantastic experience: The barbers are extremely nice and pleasant They greet you when you walk in and make you feel at home. My son is always extremely please with his hair cuts. The owner is extremely nice as well Although I've never had to wait long, it's well worth the wait if you do...!!

And to have it faded without a distinct line takes a talented stylist( I am a white guy, so there is definitely a skill involved to avoid that bowl over your head look) that knows what they are doing. Negative experience: We looked up reviews and decided to give Gees clipper a shot. He didnt do too much of a bad job but he cut him up pretty bad. He did speak to as we arrived, I really appreciated that! We will not return!
