Negative experience: The barber I got cut my hair way too short and gave me the most unsymmetrical line up on the sides and back. When I went back in to ask him if he could fix it he had a bad attitude and unfortunately could not fix it because of how uneven it was. Never coming back here

Fantastic experience: Came here on a Sunday afternoon because it was the only place open. Left with a really great short haircut and as a new repeat customer. They were able to get me in with no wait and Shek was very friendly and did a great job with my hair. A lot of barbers get straight into cutting without a lot of care but he took the time to understand my cowlicks work and was able to get exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend!

Positive experience: Ive been coming here for 3 years now. I show them the same picture everytime. After 3 years, I recently had my first negative haircut. It wasnt terrible, just not up to the standards they usually cut. The owner and the guy with the hat are both great. But a new guy cut my hair this time, black dude with dreads and a cap. He smelled like weed, cut my hair unevenly and messed my beard up after begging me to let him take care of it. I will still be coming back out of loyalty.

Negative experience: I went to this place with high expectations for a nice haircut after reading the reviews. I went into the chair with a clear picture of the cut I wanted and thought I made it very clear what I was looking for. I ended up with a cut that was completely different from my image and was probably the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. The front was cut way too short and the sides and way too much hair was left on the side and very top of my head. Do not go to this barber if you have high expectations and want a good haircut that fits what you asked for.

First of all: I used my AI chat-bot "deepsearch" and asked "what's the best barber based on the number of reviews, and the best reviews". I was sent the only way there is. The "One Way Barbershop" I have always let my hair grow out, and beard, and I always let the barber choose the best cut. -I never offer advice for how I should look. Shuk just gave me the best and I mean the BEST haircut I've ever received. I didn't have to talk, which was extremely refreshing. I have been to 18/8, and other competitors. Never again. I'll be coming the one way I know. This Barbershop earned its 5 stars from first impressions, down to what matters. My hair! Negative experience: Worst haircut I’ve ever had was from here. Tbf, i wasn’t super specific as i got it, but even then, she destroyed my hair. My sides are totally uneven, bangs are the worst they’ve ever looked, but the top of my head is still short. My hair goes over and into my ears, and into my eyes, and isn’t even in the back. People I know have pointed it out. "It'll grow back" does not apply here, a month later and my hair has never looked so bad. You try to support local, then get the worst haircut of your entire life.

Negative experience: The tall guy near the door cut my hair today. He looked like he did not want to cut my hair because he was going so fast. I got cuts at the back of my neck. This is the second time he cut my hair and same thing happened. The other barbers are good though.

Negative experience: This is my second time getting my hair cut here and the first time the lady was a little rough with the clippers but did a decent job. Today however I asked for a high and tight fade with the top just long enough to lay over and the front a little longer to style. This guy didn’t even touch the top and when he showed me the back I had an alfalfa sprout sticking out. I asked him to fix it and tried showing him how I styled my hair but he barely took anything off and kept combing my hair over flat. He lowered my beard and now looks like an uneven chin strap. My mustache was trimmed way too far from my lips. There’s still stubble on my face and neck despite how many times I was stabbed in the neck with the clippers. For $60 with the tip I expected more than this.

Negative experience: Nice place but I took my husband here today and he got a hair cut. He showed the man a picture and he didn’t cut it anything like the photo he left too much on the top even after being asked to take more off the top he barley cut the bangs and then when he touched my husbands face he was asked to not touch the mustache and beard only shave the side and the man took it upon himself to cut off his entire mustache and beard and my husbands does a handle bar mustache so he was so upset with everything we just left and went to another place to fix it. My husband is non confrontational so he didn’t even want issues.

Fantastic experience: I visited on a Saturday afternoon and while it was a little bit busy, the staff was extremely kind, offering my son and I Waters and directing us to take a ticket, even rolled out a chair from the office when the seating was full. The young African-American (I’m so sorry that I didn’t catch his name, But I will next time) That cut my son’s hair did an exceptional job. My son is 12 years old and has very thick hair. It has been hard to find a place that cuts his hair well and this young man did not disappoint! He absolutely loves his haircut, and I’m grateful that we found this barbershop. We will be returning In a couple of weeks for another cut! Thanks

Negative experience: The consistency of this barbershop hasn't been the same since 2023. I have been coming here since the barber Simba was here or at least the last few days he was here. Occasionally I would get my haircut the way I wanted and other days when it wasn't, it was mainly due to a new person being there. Recently about 3 months ago I believe, they had two new people, a female Barber and A black male Barber. The black Barber was sick. I assume as he has sneezed on me twice, I felt the saliva hit the back of my hair, didn't get my haircut right, and was really slow compared to the other barbers. Since then I put my foot down and haven't returned here, the interior is nice, they have a ticket system that they follow sometimes. Whenever I've gone there, they sometimes just go based on who has arrived there first, occasionally switch to the ticket, or people waiting for specific barbers they want to cut their hair with which would create a clog in the line. The quality hasn't been there the times I've gone, especially with the price starting at $30 with the exception of first responders, elders, kids & military personnel.

Negative experience: One side was good, the fade was excellent. Then the other side was pushed up too high and made it look weird and not blended. It was a very unsymmetrical haircut.

Positive experience: Great haircut and great price! Definitely the most quiet barbershop experience I’ve had but they certainly know how to cut hair!

Fantastic experience: I first want to say they are one of the only few shops that are not only open on Mondays but that also accept walk-ins. I took my special needs 4yr old grandson to get his first cut and his barber did an amazing job! He was patient and not only listened to my needs but also my concerns, he allowed my daughter to hold him and was patient when Nicolai needed a moment to regroup or to be repositioned. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I will be recommending this location to anyone in need of a cut. They offer a variety of services and can accommodate all hair types. Look no further people, they are the real deal and I am so thankful for them easing my anxiety during this new experience for us. My boy looks good!

Fantastic experience: I moved here to Evanston/norwood area from the UC Clifton area about a year and a half ago. Since moving here One way has been the only barber shop I've been going too. They are consistently good every time. I've had a few different barbers here and all have been equally as good. The facility itself is also very clean and well kept. Couldn't recommend a better place for a quick clean cut.

Negative experience: This place is too inconsistent to continue getting cuts at. I’ve had to fix my hair three times now on my own. Some of the guys here are great, but a woman who apparently just started cutting hair couldn’t complete my hair cut so a taller gentleman with a red & white religious cap on tried to fix it. An hour & 1/2 later, still looks super uneven on one side. Even after I asked them to fix it multiple times. For the price, I just expected more.

Negative experience: This was my favorite bar shop but I’ve been going two times in here and they keep messed up my hair.. they used have people who know how to cut hair but now they have people that don’t know how to cut hair.

Positive experience: This place is pretty inconsistent. One day, the owner cuts your hair, and it’s a blessing. Another day, it’s the tall guy with an oriental hat and shoes, and you have to fix your hair at home with scissors because it’s unevenly cut and poorly done. The other barbers are also inconsistent—some are good, and some are really bad. For that price, I expect more consistency.

Positive experience: I have had many haircuts here. Some have been fantastic some have been downright awful. Just got an awful one. They need to strive for consistency if they are staying walk in only shop. I was in the chair for 45 minutes last time I was there with beard trim. I looked fantastic. This time I was in the chair for 20 minutes with beard trim. Beard lines uneven. Did not trim the mustache area. Had him go back over. But had to give up. Did not offer me product to finish the job. This was a Great Clips level haircut. Go to guys who have product and many different clippers and scissors on their table.

Negative experience: Got one of my worst haircuts in years from here by the black guy with a small Afro, usually every other barber in there is good, just avoid the young black guy with the nose piercing. TERRIBLE barber

Positive experience: A big shout out to Orhan for always making me look sharp. The number of compliments I receive after he cuts my hair always makes me feel good. I came into a one-way barbershop about two months ago for a walk-in and was introduced to Orhan. Granted, I was a little nervous about letting someone new cut my hair, but let me say, he is an extreme professional to the max. I’ll never go to another barber in Cincinnati as long as I get Orhan to fix me up. 5/5 professionalism. 10/10 Service. I’ll be back!!! Try the candy on the way out; it's fire!!!! Sadly had to drop my review score from a 5 to a 3. Orhan is gone and sadly the new dude who took his spot can’t cut hair. Time to find a new barber again

This is the FIRST TIME EVER, that i was SHOCKED how amazing my hair looked after the cut. Nas had everything covered, i didn’t have to ask him to do a single extra thing, he was on top of it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Negative experience: I’ve tried the place 3 times now first time was awesome, after that they progressively got worse. The last time I went they pushed my hairline back so far that it is uneven as can, and didn’t blend the fade at all. I had to go spend more money to get it fixed by a guy that will now be my barber. If you want a fade and a line up. I do not recommend this place at all.

Fantastic experience: Naz is arguably best barber there. Everytime I get cut by him it’s clean! Other barbers are pretty good but you’ll usually need to double check yourself and make sure they didn’t miss anything. They’re super nice about it and don’t mind fixing it, overall solid place!

Fantastic experience: Ask for Habibi (his actual name is Farhan?) he is a must-go for a beard trim!!!!! (no appointments here so be flexible) Ignore the 2-star and lower reviews. These are just people who are just poopy-pants babies. This place does some great work when it comes to beards and bald heads. The hot towel and razor shave are worth it. You will be impressed and come out confident. Prices are fair, work is great, AND it is all walk-in. Set yourself up for success and give yourself some time so you can enjoy the moment.

Negative experience: Just spent 2 hours getting one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever gotten in my life. Do not ever, ever go here. This is a walk in place and you can get a good haircut from like one guy in here. Asked for a simple fade and he basically shaved my head and left the top long on one side and short on the other. This is unacceptable, now I have to pay an actual good barber to fix this. I’ve heard other horror stories about this place from other college students. STAY AWAY!

Negative experience: They do not cut African Americans hair none of them are skilled in doing so . There’s always new barbers , and the black barbers never stay there long at all . I was told not to come back after the Chinese guy cut the long pat of my hair which shouldn’t have Never been touched and was in a pony tail when I called him out he said “ it was just a little bit” so I didn’t pay. They all say they don’t like doing designs to customer which is horrible. I’m a licensed barber and never been in a shop like that one . It’s for Latina and white guys only. I had to go back and make guy fix my cut he nicked me to where it bled and left a line in my cut, he never let you actually look at your cut when done he will hand you the mirror then fly over to register rushing you out 8/3/23

Negative experience: Pretty sure the cuts are decent. But after I called ahead, asked the wait time, mentioned I had three kids with me and it’s a lot to get there. They told me just come on in we will take care of you.. 30 minutes later we get there and they say “want a ticket and come back?” Long line. So waste of time could have just been honest

Fantastic experience: We just moved in here and found One Way Barbershop. Encouraged by great reviews, we stopped by. Couple of people waiting, but we didn't wait more than 15 min. My 16 year old was soo happy with the haircut we got there. I do not know the name of the barber, but he was so thorough. We showed him a pic and he did exactly the same thing. I also watched others there getting haircut done - loved it. For sure my son will not want to go anywhere else now.

Fantastic experience: Sean cut my hair like he's done it a million times, but this was the first time we met. He knew what look I wanted, and he did a great job working around some difficult waves and growth patterns that make my hair asymmetrical. He got all my lines even, and he faded my beard and the back of my neck perfectly.

Fantastic experience: One Way gets 5 stars cause they are open 7 days a week, with talented barbers who give you feedback/guidance on what you're doing with your hair. I went in, took a number and a seat and watched the barbers work. They all seemed talented so I wasn't worried about my hair getting mangled but I still didn't know how my hair (that was almost to my shoulders) was going to look after I left. Was called up, sat in the chair and said "I'm not sure what I want, can you just trim and shape my hair?" I don't recall the barbers name, but nonetheless he was omega helpful - he told me what we were going to start off with, with what gaurd number, etc etc The cut took a little longer than expected, but other than that it came out great! I was surprised at the work and was told what to do with my hair going forward - what to try, lengths, product etc And I can just show up again any day of the week without an appointment AND get that quality of a cut? 5 stars

Fantastic experience: I live about 30 minutes away but read such positive reviews I made the trip. I'm glad I did because it was a great experience. I only waited about 5 minutes and got a great haircut. The straight razor shave was one of the better one's I've had at a barber shop. Highly recommend One Way Barbershop and this will now be my new go-to

I've been looking for a good barber for a while and in One way, in finally found it one. Beard trim and haircut with the full pamper treatment (hot towel, aftershave, and beard oil) has me looking forward to my next haircut!
