Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted, the atmosphere has class and so relaxed. Very chill and family oriented. Ian was my barber and from the beginning to end was professional and I could tell the other barbers were very sharp about their style and craft. if you want a classic clean up this is the spot. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt like I had to this time. I came in expecting a simple, clean cut and left really disappointed. The barber didn’t listen to what I asked for, rushed through the whole thing, and the final result looked nothing like what I requested. On top of that, the customer service just wasn’t there. I tried explaining my concerns, but instead of taking accountability, they brushed it off. Just to avoid creating a scene, I made sure I didn’t embarrass the barber in front of other customers, but the experience still felt unprofessional and careless. Overall, it wasn’t worth the time or money. I hope they improve, but I personally won’t be going back.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Don’t recommend this spot at all. The guy who gave me the haircut literally ruined my hair. Even tho I showed him the picture, he still decided to cut my hair according to him rather than how I asked him to do it. The end result was horrible. Worst $41 I ever spent.

Negative experience: Edges aren’t straight with both haircut and beard line, didn’t say anything at shop because I was ready to leave at that point. Very rough haircut, had gentler haircuts in the army. Disappointed for the price point charged.

He lacks no expertise and is completely friendly, professional and amazing with his haircutting skills, which is art. I have been coming to Ruben to get myself a mullet fade done. And everytime he just impresses me with how good it turns out afterwards. My girlfriend loves how my hair looks after. Fantastic experience: Found out about Refinery Barbershop in Willoughby about a year ago and so glad I did, about 10 minutes from my house. Mikey Mez is my barber and he is the man!!! Any cut you need no matter if you’re a kid or 90 yrs old Mikey got you!! He cuts my hair and my kids (8-9yr olds) as well. Mikey does amazing job, great guy, great with my kids as well.
