My light brown hair turned out almost black form the dye and my haircut will need to be redone , I really wanted to like it, because she was so nice. But it’s really not a a good job for $100. It was as supposed to be layered and it’s a straight cut everywhere. It’s really quite embarrassing. Sorry

He finds ideas and Julius takes his time and asks questions to ensure he cuts and styles it the right way. He also spends time to educate him on how to style it and what hair products to use. 9 months ago Fantastic experience: I tried a new place, Roosters Men’s Grooming at Rea Farms (9905 Sandy Rock Place, Suite F, Charlotte, near Waverly) for my last two haircuts. I used Julius, who I understand is “the new guy”. He has done an excellent job on both my haircuts and beard trims. In addition, he has been very welcoming and personable both times I have used him. He has stood out above the other stylists I have used over the past couple of years, and I will be going out of my way to continue using Julius in the coming months.

I was able to schedule him in the same day to Roosters to try and salvage what they could. Destiny truly made my husband look and feel amazing. It was everything to see his smile with confidence! She took her time with him and allowed him to feel relaxed. She also showed him how to style his hair and with different products! Destiny was running behind schedule, but the supervisor, Meleah went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and really felt like we mattered. Not only is he technically proficient, but he actually listens unlike many barbers. If I have a hair problem due to my cowlicks or headshape, he knows how to make it work to look good. This man is a master of his craft and delivers 100% of the time. Roosters is also a dope spot with a great environment. 1 year ago Negative experience: "Barber" was not open to criticism when cutting my son's hair. Absolutely butchered the style completely. When I provided feedback during the cut she was defensive and tried to tell me a blend would fix it. Would not recommend this store. I have been there a few times with average results but this is the nail in the coffin. Shocking cut.

1 year ago Negative experience: Worst haircut I have ever gotten hands down had to go to another salon after getting my haircut there to get my hair fix don’t know the womens name but she rushed on my hair didn’t do anything I asked her to do for 42$ you think you would’ve gotten better from these people I will never go back to this place they’re no better than going to great clips or sport clips

1 year ago Negative experience: I took my son to get his haircut here recently and he was almost in tears when the left. We have been looking for a new place since his last stylist moved. We went to the location in Ballantyne and loved it but this location was closer to our house. We made a reservation online which was very user friendly and quick on both desktop and mobile. When we were checked in it was a simple and quick process. My son was taken back to the stylist about 10 minutes after our reservation time (don't get me started on this...). We showed the stylist a picture of what he wanted and she got to work. What he received and what was pictured were two entirely different haircuts. The stylist did offer to correct it however that would have meant cutting more off an already shorter than expected haircut.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Came in right before closing—one of the ladies squeezed us in when she didn’t have to, and could have daily said NO. She saved us and possibly my son’s ROTC grade. We’ll be back for a regular cut when his hair grows back from the buzz. Thanks Rooster’s- wish I caught the lady’s name, but she had long braids and beautiful smile!

1 year ago Fantastic experience: I’ve going to the Rea Farms location for about 3 years now for myself and my 14 old. Amanda and Meleah take care of our hair and they always do an excellent job giving us the style we want and their suggestions. I’ve bounced back and forth for years between different barber shops and was never satisfied enough, but I seem to gave settled on Rooster’s now given their professionalism, attitude and predictable quality.

1 year ago Negative experience: First time going to R but didn’t see any difference between normal super cuts etc vs this premium service other than shampoo service post hair cut. Personal opinion that others do a better job. Hair cut was suboptimal.

1 year ago Negative experience: Not good. Upon first meeting the stylist, she asked: “Is it okay if I don’t shampoo? I’ve not had my lunch break and might not get one.” Stylist listened to my description of what cut I wanted, then proceeded to cut hair the way she wanted. Will not go back.

1 year ago Positive experience: Caroline was awesome. Normally love the hot towel. Whoever prepared the hot towels blobbed way too much orange essential oils on the towel and I left with a burn around my left eye and cheek. Not really happy about that!
