Fantastic experience: Sorry I haven’t reviewed sooner. Today was my 5th haircut and I couldn’t be happier with my barber Darwin. I got a high skin fade and anytime I walk out of the shop I look 10 years younger. The other thing I’m impressed with is the fact that they post suggestions to their patrons regarding coming in with clean hair and body. It just adds to the experience. Negative experience: Husband booked an appointment, and when he got there the barber had left for the day. The other barbers there working then proceeded to call that barber, and made my husband talk to him as if my husband was in the wrong and got it wrong. Despite him having an email confirmation of the appointment and showed them. What a ridiculous place. Really poor customer service, although I doubt they care about that.

Negative experience: Asked for a nice clean fade, and the guy must’ve heard “give me a mohawk that screams midlife crisis.” My hair’s absolutely destroyed — good thing Halloween’s coming up so I can rock the Freddy Krueger look without even trying. Once they’re done, what are you gonna do — complain? The hair’s gone, buddy. Might as well just embrace the chaos. Be warned: scissors must be some kind of mythical tool here, because they only know how to attack your head with clippers like it’s a lawnmower race. I will never go back to this place.

Fantastic experience: When I first moved to Florida from Ny I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a barber who was as experienced or as good as the ones I had access to in nyc. However those concerns were ENTIRELY removed the day I came in for the first time and got a haircut from the owner, Tony. Tony was professional, friendly, extremely cleanly, and detail oriented. When I came home afterwards my family told me it was the best haircut I’d ever gotten in my life and I couldn’t have agreed more which is why I’ve been a loyal customer of his and always will be till he decides to hang those clippers up one day lol. Trust me, this guy isn’t just a businessman or loving family man, he’s an artist and it shows in his work. Do yourself a favor and go try out what will be ur new favorite barber shop. Also on a side note, he doesn’t just hire anyone to cut hair there. They are ALL masters of their craft and you’ll be in good hands the entire time you are at Ny’s Finest Barber Shop. The results speak for themselves.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Zero Made an appointment ahead of time for my 11 year old son who had a photoshoot on the same day. The idea was for him to have a fresh cut. While I was on the phone with my son in the parking lot waiting( btw parking space is terrible)I asked my son to step inside to ask if they took Apple Pay and to make sure they knew his name and his appointment time. I heard my son doing so and someone told him no Apple Pay payments were available, I made the terrible mistake to leave him while I went to the bank to get the cash. 30 minutes later my son called me to let me know he was still waiting and the appointment was canceled. When I got back to ask why was my son still waiting and why was the appointment canceled no one in the shop knew anything. The manager told me he did speak to him and he got his name but left to get lunch, he did not communicate to anyone regarding my son’s appointment and no one else approached him or said anything to him. I immediately grabbed my son to try to find another barber , the manager came out to the parking lot to try to explain the situation, if I did not need this as a last resource they would had never got the chance from me, I allowed him to cut his hair and left $40 on his table but will never be going back there again. Not only they dismissed him but acted as if it was my fault for leaving. As if I didn’t make sure someone knew he had an appointment as if it was my fault they do not communicate between them regarding their appointments. I want to be perfectly clear the manager , owner tried to make it better by explaining his reasoning behind no one knowing anything about it, the person who ended up giving him the hair cut did a terrible job, rushed and did not used any proper hygiene, no alcohol spray at the end, did not even try to be honest. When we got to the photoshoot the stylist for the shoot was in shocked. Thankfully they had shears to fix it. Bold move to name your business NY finest! Communication in any business is key, if a person walks in your establishment greet them, say hello ask who they are and make sure their barber knows they are there waiting. You should never have anyone in your establishment an not know who they are or what they are doing there. Best of luck!

Fantastic experience: Went to get a haircut while on vacation. I was a walk-in and waited about 15 min. Got the pleasure of Carlos as my barber/stylist. I had super long hair and in about an hour I recieved the best haircut that I have had in the last 10 years. He was all about the quality and not the quantity and pleasure to talk to. If I lived here and not in Pittsburgh he would be my goto guy. So if your in Port St. Lucy and need a quality haircut, ask for Carlos.
