Fantastic experience: I came in looking like Grizzly Adams and Kacie helped me look a little more like Rico Suave when I walked out. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend her. She did a great job. It was my first time ever getting a straight razor shave and it was an excellent experience. I would definitely book online prior because it’s very difficult getting in with someone as a walk-in.

Fantastic experience: My son LOVED his haircut. He was beaming with confidence. Zac takes a tremendous amount of time dedicating to detail. You get what you pay for and Zac is the very best. My son also mentioned that he got exactly what we had asked for in the cut.

Fantastic experience: Great service, pricey but solid I don’t usually leave reviews but Shawn is a pretty down-to-earth guy and a great talker, he’s also quite good at assessing customer needs and skilled in cutting hair.

Fantastic experience: I just moved to the area and was searching for a great barbershop. I came across this place on Google with a lot of solid reviews, so I decided to give it a try. Katie cut my hair exactly how I wanted and made sure the length and shape were perfect. She listened carefully, checked in while cutting, and the end result looked clean and sharp. The shop was clean, had a chill vibe, and the staff was welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Got my hair chopped off by Katie. Went to take care of a few errands then stopped at a pub for lunch. The woman running the bar immediately carded me, implying she was sure I was under 21. I gave her my card and she was embarrassed when she realized im 39 years old. I blame Katie for this minor inconvenience. The bartender was extra attentive for the rest of the experience.

Fantastic experience: I decided to grow my beard out when I retired and went to Forefathers to get a proper haircut and beard trim. For so many years I had my hair cut where volume of cuts was more important than quality and getting my hair cut was more of a necessary evil rather than a good experience. Forefathers changed that and Katie did an awesome job professional and friendly. I will be a returning customer looking forward to next trim with Katie.

Fantastic experience: Words cannot begin to describe how happy I am with my services at Forefather's and specifically with Ashley. I went to Forefather's for about 6 years and I am sad to be leaving. I am moving out of state and sadly, on to a new barber. Ashley has been with me for 6 years and is beyond talented at what she does. She can see the vision that others cannot. Her creativity and precision comes through in her craft and her professionalism and personality shine through when you are in her chair. She has also become a great friend in the meantime. While in her chair, she is also the world's best therapist when needed. I would recommend anybody at Forefather's, but especially Ashley. They treat their clients like family and take great pride in their work.

Fantastic experience: This is the third barbershop I've visited since moving to Michigan from the east coast a few weeks ago, and the two previous botched a simple fade. I saw reviews for Forefathers and figured to give them a try, so I booked with Amanda. Walked in and was promptly greeted by friendly staff. I was asked to sign a waiver, which due to the fact they use straight razors is a completely valid request. Amanda absolutely knocked it out of the park, it looks fantastic! From her professionalism, to asking questions in order to understand what my issue is with previous barbers, to her friendly personality, I have no doubt that I'll be returning regularly while I live here.

Fantastic experience: I came from the Eastern Shore of Virginia for a beard trim and haircut, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The only downside was that the Jack Frost butter was sold out, I was really hoping to pick some up! But I was able to buy all the other butter and oil that I liked.

She is fantastic and definitely would recommend her to anyone and everyone who needs haircut or beard trim. Good conversationalist to keep you entertained during the appointment. It's probably the best haircut (experience) I've ever had. She took her time, spoiled me with a shampoo, conditioner, and head massage. Ive tried multiple barbers and every time I left I felt embarrassed. I felt like they didn’t listen to what I want. LET ME TELL YOU this not here. Fantastic experience: I LOVE sending my husband and son in to be pampered at Forefathers. They get treated well, quality products are used, and the barbers do great work. My kid is 6 and he feels very confident walking out of this shop. The barbers treat him with kindness and respect, offer him a juice box, and get his input on how he would like to be styled, which is a very cool experience for him. My husband has long, luxurious curls, and a corse beard. He has learned so much from his barbers here about enhancing his style and caring for his mane. The atmosphere is enjoyable and relaxing. They have us as customers for life.

Fantastic experience: Overall that atmosphere is great and really relaxed. The hair cut that I received was spot on and much attention was paid to the details. Normally when I go somewhere new they inevitably mess up my collick. Not this time. It was a great experience and highly recommended.
