1 month ago Fantastic experience: I have been to many barbershops as a bald man for a head shave and a beard trim. This is by far the best experience I have had. Gustavo is a great barber and I would recommend this barber to anyone.

3 months ago Negative experience: I went in to get my beard shaped up and stylized. I spent over 70 dollars to do a line up and a beard style trim. The whole time the person doing my beard was not doing it like it shows on the website. He was using clippers nearly the whole time and only used the straight razor for 30 seconds. I paid 70 dollars for a joke of a beard sculpting and the end result looks like someone from a amateur barber could of pulled it off. Once again I spent 70 dollars for this. Line up was so bad that I shaved my head after. I will never come here again the price is insane and the people don't listen to what you tell them! I was so mad when I was leaving.

4 months ago Fantastic experience: Truly fantastic people who are great at their jobs. Our young sons go here for their haircuts and they leave happy. I have to give a special shout out to their kindness the last time we were in: our youngest (to my horror) asked if he could have a lollipop since he was so well behaved. Unfortunately, they had run out but mentioned they would call us as soon as they came in so we could get his lollipop. They insisted that he earned one, and a call would be coming. My phone rang less than two hours later, letting me know the lollipops had been delivered with one set aside specifically for him. Again: each barber is skilled, and above all, they are lovely people. Highly recommend.

5 months ago Fantastic experience: I had my first experience with The Confident Barber in September and sat with Abe. I asked for a skin fade with scissor cut on top with a hard part. He knocked it out of the park. To keep things interesting I let him know that this was the most important haircut of my life… I was to be the best man in my best friends’s wedding and therefore, had to maintain a supreme level of confidence. It was only because Abe did such a phenomenal job, but I was able To execute a “successful” speech. The shop was clean, there was a warm greeting when I walked through the door, and that greeting was perpetuated to clients who came in the door after me. There was pleasant music playing in the background played at appropriate levels.

They make sure someone in leadership looks at every haircut (at least when we were there) to make sure it was absolutely perfect. My son got his first stylish haircut ever. They spent an hour on his hair it seemed. So don’t let the ‘barbershop’ in the name think they can’t cut a fancy style for you or your teenage boys. Worth the price!

My son and I were running a little late, but Wathiq (I believe he’s the owner) was incredibly understanding, polite, and kind. Even though the shop was very busy, he still welcomed us in, which saved us a lot of time since we had driven 40 minutes to get there. He even offered us drinks, which was such a thoughtful touch. Marcus, who cut my son’s hair, did an amazing job. I showed him a picture of the style we wanted, and he matched it perfectly. My son was so happy with the result! I highly recommend Confedent Barbershop to everyone and will definitely be coming back again.

7 months ago Fantastic experience: Went into the barbershop looking for a new hairstyle and a beard line up. Abe did a great job! Walked out with a new hairstyle. Prior to leaving the owner approached me to ensure I was happy with my cut. Pricing was a bit higher than I usually pay but they did a great job. I wish they did have a discount available for haircut and beard combo. The person that greeted me when I walked in was new but did a great job as well. I would definitely recommend them for your next haircut.

8 months ago Fantastic experience: My partner started shaving all his hair off during Covid and told me it had been around 5 years since he’d been to a barber. For his birthday, I wanted to give him a wonderful barbershop experience. He keeps a medium length beard, so I booked him for a head shave and a beard shape up. He had the best time - their treatments are on point. Sam was amazing and took his time and care to make sure my boyfriend walked out looking fine as hell. Mary is incredible—skilled, detail-oriented, and easy to talk to. The shop is usually busy when I’m there, which tells you a lot, so I definitely recommend making an appointment. He has adhd and The Confident Barbershop is the only place that has gotten James to sit still during a haircut and they are such amazing people. What I enjoyed most about having my haircut from Wathiq besides his warm and kind personality was that he had a clear, confident vision of what cut would best suit my face shape, and he absolutely nailed it. 1 year ago Fantastic experience: Damnnnn Sam. Left here feeling like a whole different person. Was a long while with long hair, needed a whole switch up. Sam took his time, listened to what I wanted and then executed flawlessly a picture I had from over two years ago. I was compelled to go back the next day just to tell him how much I appreciated the cut. Don’t book Sam all the way up though cuz he’s my new regular barber!

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Gustavo did a fantastic job on my haircut and also with trimming up my beard. I let my hair grow out a bit and with a wedding coming up it was time to get a fresh cut. Gustavo took the time to ask certain details that I would like and it came out amazing. This was my first time coming here and I am now making this spot my go to. The interior of the barbershop is also nice and bright and clean. They also offer you drinks while you wait which is a nice touch. Exceptional experience.

My barber AHMAD is very attentive and performed a really awesome job from the hot towel to the razor finish. Also took his time to explain the process on my beard so I can obtain the look I want in the next couple of visits. I really recommend this establishment.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: It was really easy to make an appointment online with Alan. When we arrived there were three people working who greeted us and helped me decide what length would be best for my four year olds first haircut. The barber and other staff helped keep Jaxson entertained and made him feel confident. He was able to get the entire cut with no breaks! I was extremely impressed not only in the way Alan was able to work with my son but the skill level of the cut was also top tier. As a single mom I really appreciate the help figuring out how to style his hair and what to use. Cannot recommend this place enough

I was very pleased with my cut but also noticed others as they were getting cuts or leaving that the atmosphere here warm and welcoming. His attention to detail is incredible, and he makes sure you leave looking sharp and confident. The atmosphere in his shop is friendly and welcoming, and he always takes his time to make sure everything is perfect. 1 year ago Fantastic experience: The Confident Barbershop is my go to in the RVA area. The shop is clean and well appointed. The staff are friendly and courteous. Wathiq, the owner, is great and is always there. He runs a great shop and clearly cares about his staff and customers. Gustavo gives a great cut for head and beard and takes the time to understand what you are looking for. He is friendly and easy to chat with. Look no further for a great experience and a great cut!
1 year ago Fantastic experience: New to the area, had been going to SportClips for years because I could not find a good barber at home. Found The Confident Barbershop, and will continue to go here. Excellent service, and excellent haircut. There is no comparison between a professional cut, and a national chain. Ahmad was incredible, knew what to do with my hair, and what would look good. My son got a good cut here as well. Highly recommend The Confident Barbershop.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: After moving to RVA over three years ago, I have tried several barbers that have been OK but never exactly what I desired. After doing some online research, I came across The Confident Barbershop. The online reviews were all extremely positive. So, I made an appointment with Wathiq and I am thrilled with the haircut and service that I received. The shop is very attractive, clean, and orderly. It was obvious to me that Wathiq is a master barber. He gave me the professional haircut that I have long been looking for in Richmond. The cut, razor trim of neck, hot towel facial, and shampoo were luxurious and first-rate. I can't imagine a better experience in Richmond. Wathiq is also very warm and welcoming and a great conversationalist. I consider myself fortunate to have landed upon this shop and, especially, Wathiq. I look forward to a long relationship with The Confident Barbershop!

1 year ago Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! My sister recommended it and even though I accidentally booked with someone who didn't do kids trims (also my first time taking my toddler for a cut), they managed to accommodate us with Ahmad and he was phenomenal. The cut looked so good and my naturally reserved and skeptical child said "I love that person" when he walked out. It was a wonderful experience.

Roger did a tremendous job. This place is great value and you get what you pay for! English is not his first language but I was able to communicate with him well enough.

This is by far the best haircut I've gotten, it's reasonably priced, the barbers are friendly and professional, and it's quick. Would recommend this place to everyone and anyone!

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Earlier this week, I visited the barber shop for the first time. The process to book an appointment online was pretty simple and convenient. I booked with Gustavo and when I arrived at the shop, Gustavo was ready to rock and roll right at the scheduled appointment time. I got the head shave and beard trim. Gustavo was very personable and he went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. Gustavo did such a great job that when my girlfriend saw my newly trimmed beard and shaved head, she pounced on me like a cheetah on a rabbit . I will definitely be back in the future. Five Stars.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Hanna gave me the best haircut I’ve had in the past five years. She is professional and very pleasant. Usually, after a haircut, i go home, take out a trimmer… and fix the mistakes… but that didn't happen with Hanna. She is precise and absolutely perfect. I will go back to her again!
