My son's 7 years old and in his words "that was the best barber I've ever been to, give him 5 stars mum" If we didnt live so far outa town would definitely be our regular!

He took the time to ask exactly what I was after, offered some helpful suggestions, and made sure I understood the plan before he even picked up the clippers. Throughout the cut, the conversation was easy and genuine, which made the whole experience even better. Corban might be a young bloke, but he’s incredibly switched on, carries himself professionally, and clearly takes pride in what he does. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving his clients the best possible experience. The haircut itself was excellent, and the customer service was just as impressive. If you’re looking for a quality barber in the Kapiti area, I’d highly recommend Stay Cut Barbers - especially Corban. I’ll definitely be back.

Apprehensive at first given the tucked away location of the shop, but I now believe that its Kapiti's hidden gem of a barbershop. Awesome decor, great vibes and amazing yarns with barber Corban. Don't let his youthful looks deceive you, the bros got an old gentle soul with mad skills to go with his barbering craft. Highly recommend this place for people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds - and if you want a dope as hair cut, ask for Corban, you won't be disappointed! Will be back for sure!!

Negative experience: No-show with zero notice. We had a confirmed appointment for my 10-year-old son today with Jah Tarrant and received two confirmation emails. We arrived to find the shop completely locked with no warning. My son was really looking forward to this cut and was in tears when we got there and no one was there. When I reached out to Jah directly, he admitted he wasn't working this week and wasn't sure why the booking wasn't cancelled. No proactive communication, no cancellation, no apology from the business — just a "the shop will be open if you want to reschedule tomorrow." Then we were ghosted after our reply stating our disappointment. We went to Know A Cut straight after, who got us in straight away. If you're booking for kids especially, be aware that confirmed appointments may not mean much here. Really disappointing.

Hadnt had a cut in over 6 months so it was a genuine mop but the bro corban ended up setting me right, got me cleaned up fresh, even had a bit of a beard tidy up which I haven't done in awhile either and the experience as a whole was a 10/10 will definetly be back aswell as recommending friends and family

Positive experience: Young man who cut my husband's mohawk did a relatively decent job albeit he admitted not having worked on black, nappy hair before. Thought it a bit pricy for cutting sides and not styling but, it was a clean place and my husband wasnt unhappy.
