They remained calm throughout, gave him time to adjust, showed him the equipment, and kindly offered a toy and a balloon to help reassure him.

Negative experience: Amongst some amazing guys in here with good skills is one RUDE guy and I unfortunately ended up with him. His whole demeanor from the get go was that of annoyance. Did such a poor job, didn't bother to clean hair as he went along and was just pure rude, I couodnt wait to leave. The whole experience ruined this place's image and I will avoid and advice everyone else to be aware. He needs to be fired ASAP. Such shocking service

Negative experience: The man who cut my hair was rude and aggressive. There was no need, if you don't like dealing with people then find a different line of work. I'm sure that some of the staff are lovely but the older gentleman is not suited to working with the public.

Negative experience: Brought my toddler there. The staff were unfriendly and obviously did not want to deal with a young child. The Barber didn’t really engage with either of us and got visibly frustrated as the wee man got agitated. It got to the point where I just called it and told him it was fine. I had to finish the job myself (poorly to be fair) when I got home. They don’t take card.

Positive experience: The haircut was good enough for five stars, but the fact they don't take a card makes me feel like they are avoiding paying taxes. The Irish pay taxes, so they must if they want to contribute to our society. Pay your way, lads like the rest of us .

Negative experience: I went to this barber here in Castlebar, I went in and the barbers didn't even say hello or good afternoon, nor did they come to meet me and ask if I had a reservation or if I wanted to cut my hair. When it was my turn, which was difficult to understand because I realized it was in order of arrival, I asked the barber to cut my hair on the sides with comb 1 and on top with comb 3, he didn't ask me if I wanted to cut my hair with a machine. or with scissors... I asked them to make a shadow on my sides. When I cut my hair I noticed that he didn't cut it or do what I wanted, I told him 3 times how I wanted and he didn't do anything I asked him to do, it seems like the cut was his choice and not mine when I told him how I I wanted the cut. He was nice but I didn't think he was professional in the cut because I didn't have the hair on the sides with comb 1 and on top I didn't have it with comb 3. He didn't disinfect the scissors or the chair or utensils....when I went to pay they didn't They only paid in cash at an ATM, they didn't even give me or ask if I wanted a receipt. I noticed that they spoke to each other in Moroccan or Arabic, I didn't think it was professional at all, much less could I understand whether they were speaking well or badly. The floor was completely dirty with customers' hair, I didn't like the atmosphere and I didn't find the staff friendly at all. I paid 18 euros for a cut that was nothing like I asked for, in fact the barber didn't understand anything I asked for. I left completely discouraged because I arrived with a haircut that wasn't what I had asked for. Besides being expensive, I don't recommend anyone coming to this place to get their hair cut. Many Irish people don't go to this place because they feel unhappy with the service provided because they don't do anything the customer asks for. It left me thinking that they avoid taxes because they only pay in cash and don't even give a receipt. I didn't feel well served by the service and I won't be returning. They don't even have a Bizzness Card to give people. For my part, they lost a client because they didn't do anything I asked, unfortunately. If I could, I would give it 0 stars... I don't recommend it to anyone. I'm paying for a service and I want the same service as I asked for, the hair is mine and only I know how I want it, if I asked for it in a certain way that's the way I want it and not what the barber wants... ..I hate coming with a haircut that doesn't meet what I asked for or wanted. I found the environment heavy and not friendly. Next time i will go to dublin, the cut is better, cheap and very friendly....dont give my money to you with bad service.....i came completely sad, i've been cutting my hair for years and without a boubt it wasnt combed 1 on the sides and 3 on top.... never more... very loud music , i was at the barber shop, not in a pub.........I have hair on one side that is longer than the other, as I have two waves and I notice the difference perfectly, I am dissatisfied F.... my english but im very sad...

Negative experience: Again..not the cut that was asked for..who would ask for a bowl cut! The guy was told to leave the top and fringe but hacked it off anyway and to top it off it's wonky so obviously can't even cut in a straight line...never again will I be sending my lads in there

Negative experience: Absolutely disgraceful service provided here. I had to ring about twenty times to book my now husband and his best man in for two hot towel shaves the morning of our wedding. Eventually a woman in the westport shop called me back and assured me they were booked in for the Saturday morning @9.30. Tha two lads went in only to be told that the only barber that can do the hot towel shaves wasn't there and she wouldn't be able to do it, shocking service. Stay away..
