Fantastic experience: I got a hair cut from Josh and it was the best experience I’ve had getting my haircut. I went in with longish thick wavy hair and no clear idea of what I wanted done, came out knowing what to ask for in the future and who to ask for!

Fantastic experience: Without a doubt, the best barbers in Ireland. I have been going to Mavericks for the best part of 6 years and have never been anything but delighted with the results. I recently left Donegal and moved to Dublin but have made a point of making the drive back up to Donegal every month, just to get a haircut from Darwyn. 11/10 service and worth every penny.

I walked in just before closing as a walk-in taking a second chance from the reviews on google this time, as I’m not local. He had a look and sorted me out. I wish we had an Irish barbers in every town like these guys I can’t recommend these lads enough! there isn’t enough stars on google.

Fantastic experience: Had a hot shave at Mavericks whilst in Letterkenny for work and I can't recommend the place enough. Paddy was excellent, the shave was fantastic and the cold towel at the end was a first for me but felt amazing. I'll certainly be returning the next time I'm in town.

Negative experience: Over priced and fairly rude service. Inexperienced trainee hairdresser working with no supervision. Trainee taking ages on basic haircuts and clearly doesn't know what he is doing.

Fantastic experience: Great barbershop. Very nice layout since the pandemic hit, the team have done everything in their power to keep you safe & it's appreciated by your customers. The QJunkie booking system is great from the perspective of the customer in that you have a booking timeslot, so no wait time (which was always the case at peak times due to the well deserved popularity of the place) The staff are all very friendly, and have always had a good cut here. This is the only place I would bring my two boys for a hair cut now.

Negative experience: Very expensive, €30 for a haircut and beard trim is hard to justify particularly when I had to come home and finish the trim myself.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I went here to have the full works before our wedding in Portnablagh. The guys were all amazing; welcoming, friendly, professional. We felt and looked $million. We live in London, however are looking forward to a return visit for the ultimate pampering session.

Fantastic experience: I went in looking like something out of Grizzly Adams ( showing my age there I fear ) or an US Civil War re-enacter! I came out like I knew how to groom myself competantly. Popped in off the cuff and a short wait later and I was seated and expertly shorn and shaved. Staff were friendly and knew their business. The antique decor, down to the olde time cashier bell, sets the mood well. I'll definitely drop in again when I need to look my best, thanks!
