Fantastic experience: After previously using a barbers, my go to guy had left and unfortunately his replacement was fair below par, completely ignoring what I had asked for. I was recommended to Vieux and certainly wasn't disappointed. I was after a hair cut and bread tidy up..but unfortunately, I didn't select the services I needed online. So I was more concerned about getting my beard tidied up, not to look like a homeless person. Darren felt bad, so he gave me a hot towel treatment then went further to tidy my sides and back up so my hair went well with my beard. Excellent service, met with a warm welcome and overall, I've now found my go to Barbers!

Negative experience: If I could give 0 starts I would, I did add a review and they deleted. I went last month to do a buzz cut and beard trim, a beginner I guess destroyed by beard shape.

Fantastic experience: I dropped into Vieux today after another barber wasn’t able to finish the service I wanted. I booked in with Jamie for a Luxury Beard Trim, as my beard line was in desperate need of saving! Jamie absolutely smashed it—he did a fantastic job and completely turned things around for me. Not only does he clearly know his stuff, but he also gave me total confidence in his skills. The whole team at Vieux were welcoming, and the shop itself has a great atmosphere. I was so impressed that I’ve already booked my next appointment with Jamie.

I have wavy, curly, Afro mixed hair and Darren was very knowledgeable, consultant led and experienced from the start. Darren is very professional. Always an excellent and attentive service. Always goes above the normal for an excellent customer experience. A very accurate cut and always presents “the before and after” to get a visual representation. Never had any issues booking online or calling up. Great team, great barbers, great atmosphere - all round excellent 5* Look no further, this is your spot!

Fantastic experience: Having lived in the area for the majority of my life, my haircut has always been one of the services which I was never satisfied with, going around the town centre like a journeyman just trying to find the right club to join - sure they would do the job but something was always missing, and I'd move onto the next barbershop until I realised i'm back where I started. That all changed when Vieux came into existence and changed my life and my hair. It was like joining the Galacticos/Invincibles in one after spending my life meandering around the Championship. If only Vieux were around sooner, maybe I would have won more trophies in my younger days, but legacy is not about where you were, its about how you end. And I'm going to end a winner. Be a winner, have a consistently perfect haircut at Vieux, don't have regrets.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend the guys at Vieux enough, been a regular here for 5 years after Ryan saved me from a previous hack job of a beard trim. Since then I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. From the initial consultation the guys are open and honest with what you are trying to achieve and what would or wouldn’t work with your hair type. All of the guys are absolute professionals, providing quality services, a relaxing and welcoming environment with attention to detail. Fantastic experience: Superb, simply superb. From beginning to end. A high-end, friendly, interactive and eye opening experience. After going to Turkish barbers my whole life, I decided to try out something a bit better. I was initially worried about it being worth the price, but I can proudly say I regret nothing, and even felt compelled to tip more. From when I sat in the chair I was offered a complimentary drink of choice while Jamie and I were discussing what I wanted for my haircut. Jamie listened to me very patiently and worked with me to help me figure out what I wanted and how to make it a reality. Throughout the cut, I felt like we could really communicate and the atmosphere was very friendly and joke-y with the other barbers and customers in at the time. The end result was something I never expected, I was incredibly pleased and I will be coming back to get all my haircuts here while I live in Maidstone. Cannot recommend enough, to those who are put off by the price, I promise you that if you try it once, you won't want to go anywhere else

Fantastic experience: Great service with very patient and understanding barber, I usually cut my own hair (and beard) but wanted to look fresh for my wedding. I booked online which gave a clear pricing structure and overview of services on offer which made me feel confident while booking. Darren spent time during the consultation getting exactly what I wanted (even when I didn’t know myself) and even went in again on the beard to tidy it up (despite me initially saying I wanted to keep the length ) Made me feel comfortable and welcome throughout, the sleeping dog in the shop only added to the experience. I noticed online that cuts come with a free touch up in between cuts which I think is a great offer! I Would definitely book again!

It's a great vibe with talented barbers who know what they're doing. I get my hair done with Darren, who is an absolute dude and very passionate about his trade. He's easily one one the most diligent and talented barbers I've ever sat with. It's clear he knows what he's doing with the scissors as well as the clippers and he can give you actual advice on your hair type and any issues you might have. He's always in good spirits, gives an amazing consultation when you first meet, and continues to work with you to ensure your cut is exactly what you want every time. If you're looking for a proper barber shop, with proper barbers then look no further!

Fabio listens to what you want and gives recommendations on what he thinks might work for your hair. I have always come away from my appointment happy and satisfied with my hair cut. Fabio is a great professional and cares about his work and you can see this in his haircuts. The shop it's self has a good vibe and makes you feel welcomed. I will continue to use this shop and Fabio as my barber and I cannot recommend the shop and Fabio enough. I have told two of my friends to get a haircut from Fabio and they are now regular customers of Fabio.

Fantastic experience: How do I even start? I struggled finding a really good barber since leaving London but luckily I stumbled across Vieux. I’ve been here twice already and hands down these guys may be the best barbers I’ve been to. Services are well priced especially when you consider a free trim top up is included. The guys are really passionate about what they do and always leave you satisfied. These guys don’t get enough credit for the professionalism they provide and the quality of service. Super friendly atmosphere and the guys are quite chatty!
