Positive experience: “Me and da boyz pulled up to Man About Town Barbers blasting phonk. We asked for a clean fade, man gave us that haircut that cost a quarter special. Next thing I know he hands me 67 mangoes and says, ‘That’ll be 67.’ No explanation, no receipt, just 67. The shop started glowing purple like a Dragon Ball Z power-up, lightning shooting out the roof while the barber whispered ‘MANGO MANGO MANGO’ on loop. By the time we left, I’d aged 6-7 hours, my trim looked like it was cut in Ohio, and I still don’t know what currency I paid in. Would recommend if you’re tryna ascend into the barber multiverse.

Negative experience: Was not happy with cut. Told the guy to cut it similar to another barbers hair style who had a mullet and longer hair at the back. At the end of the cut he had shaven all my hair at the back, shaped it nicely but with my graduation coming up next week, definitely not what I wanted.

Dan who attended to the sheering did well and was great to chat too. Maybe a drinks cabinet / fridge would the the icing but it was before noon. So, maybe a little early in the day.

Fantastic experience: I've never been a fan of getting my haircut. I normally don't like the result or the awkward small talk. But I was recommended man about town. I have been going for years now. I mostly see Lloyd. I always enjoy our chats and he is an expert barber and always does a great job on my hair and beard. I normally go in looking like a neanderthal and come out looking a lot more respectable.

Fantastic experience: found this men's hairdressers by their positive Google reviews and was not disappointed! Bailey was great, taking care to give me exactly the cut I wanted. Went for a wash and cut, and very satisfied with the result, got exactly the short hairstyle that I like, even after letting it grow out of control for 6 months. Easy to book online, and even got a last minute appointment. Decent coffee while you get your haircut is a nice bonus. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I had long hair and said some things I wanted but let the barber be creative, it's cost £40, when I got home I shaved my head and felt a lot better, I was embarrassed to be outside with the new cut, things I asked for were ignored.

Fantastic experience: MATB is my favourite Barbers. Its located just off the main high street in chelmsford. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and unlike some places they will cut your hair how you want it. Highly recommended. They also have a online portal for bookings which is awesome.

Fantastic experience: Very long overdue recommendation for the OG Lorenzo. Top bloke and great barber that it took most of my adult life to find. You have your friends, then you have your barber.
