Fantastic experience: I've been going to The Loft for nearly 9 years now and, even though I've now moved away from the city, I still return to get my hair done here. Adam is phenomenal at what he does, knows exactly what he's doing and has broad expertise and knowledge in it, too. I have had one hair cut elsewhere in those entire 9 years, only because of staff illness which is totally fair... but I did have to get that one fixed by Adam once he returned! Brilliant work guys, never disappoint, and I hope to return for as long as you'll keep having me.

The attention to detail is exceptional — every fade is clean, every line is sharp, and he always makes sure the cut suits what I’m going for. What keeps me coming back is the professionalism. He takes his time, doesn’t rush, and clearly takes pride in his work. The shop is always welcoming, the conversation is easy, and I walk out looking better than I walked in every single time. If you want a barber who actually listens, delivers consistently high-quality cuts, and genuinely cares about his clients, this is the place. Couldn’t recommend him more.

Negative experience: When I entered the loft I wasn’t greeted in the way I expect , all other customers were offered something to drink. I was not , the barber seemed to have a dislike towards me. He washed my hair with cold water without asking me about the temperature beforehand . To finish it off the haircut is of low quality for a senior barber and not what I expect for 30£. I left the barber feeling unsatisfied and sad about my haircut

Negative experience: I need to wear a hat after I got a haircut here. If you want to be an introvert and stay home for weeks because you don’t want your friend see your hair, then this is your first option.

Fantastic experience: EASILY the best barbers I've ever been to. Robbie was brilliant, he had a really hard challenge of fixing what another barber elsewhere had messed up. He did a fantastic job, the results were better than I had expected. The place itself was super relaxed too with air con, great chat and an interesting view of the city whilst you sit there. Negative experience: Hate to leave a bad review as some of the people who work here seem nice, but I'm leaving it based on the following: 1) Asked for my fade to be higher, the barber just completely ignored me 2) The barber didn't ask how much length I wanted off the top, they just did what they wanted 3) This was the biggest issue - when paying the barber had me stood like a lemon on the other side of the till for a good few minutes whilst he messaged people on his phone before charging me?? At the current price point it should be a premium service, but unfortunately based on the quality of the cut and poor customer service, it was all below average. Perhaps a one off event, but from my experience it didn't meet my expectations at all.
