First when I walked trough the door I was nervous like everybody else but soon as we started working and chatting I gain confidence they make you feel and work comfortable! He went in today showed them an inspo picture and not only did they do it they made it to a style that actually suited him. Also love how they do free haircuts when training especially these days when everything is so expensive.

Fantastic experience: After reading about Jay, we had to try his barbers shop for our three boys hair cuts. We were made very welcome when we walked in, the shop is gorgeous inside. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. All three of our boys loved their haircuts, the eldest who is fussy with his hair said it was the best cut he has had, and commented that the lady stylist(sorry i don’t know her name) took her time and made it perfect, unlike some other barber shops we have been to and the hair is just razored as quick as possible. We will definitely be back in Jay’s as soon as the boys need their hair’s cut again.

Fantastic experience: I've went to Jay's now for my last 4 or 5 cuts. I got a 3 on top with a fade to 0 on sides, fade back into the beard and have it trimmed neat. From the first time I went in I could tell it was a step up from previous barbers i've been to. I've been booking with David and he has my hair, beard and brows looking fresh and tidy every single time. I have thick, fast growing hair including the beard and it's always tamed so that I leave looking sharp. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional. Clean/tidy shop and barber's in uniforms with music in the background. David makes you feel comfortable and it's like you're chatting with a mate while he works. You don't feel rushed, despite the popularity of the shop and he gives you his full attention. I feel like you get great value for the cost of the services. Needless to say i'll be booking with David for the forseeable and I wouldn't even think to look anywhere else. Would recommend to anyone.

David chats away to him, and he is very gentle. My son's cut is always great and styled perfectly. The shop itself has a lovely vibe, with people chatting; it's always bustling. Negative experience: Maybe I was just unlucky, turned up asked if I needed appointment, was told no just take a seat for 2 mins, then person after person turn up and gets taken first, guess they were booked, which is fine but why treat me so awfully, just say sorry fella we booked up! How long was I suppose to sit there for? Maybe non locals or those with a different accent not welcome. Shame really wanted to support this business, ah well not to worry.

Fantastic experience: When they say they're the best in Belfast, they're telling the truth! One of my boys went to a number of different barbers and noone ever cut his hair the way he wanted until he found Jays. They do all the small extras like back of neck and eyebrows and make sure he leaves looking perfect. They were great with my younger boy when he wanted to change his style as well, listened closely to what he wanted and advised him of what they could do with his current cut to get him there. Really patient, helpful guys, I can't recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Been going to the same barbers for over a decade now, just that kind of person ! Unfortunately, they were closed unexpectedly ! I went looking for alternatives, and saw reviews and testimony for Jay’s - anecdotal and otherwise ! I was seen to and cut by a gentleman named Louis - I am so sorry if the spelling is incorrect ! He was extremely patient and understanding, especially as I can’t tolerate and don’t like electric trimmers or razors, and he was more than happy to accommodate me for that by providing a scissor-only cut and tidy ! As a slightly anxious person with change to routine, not once within the building or service did I feel at all unwelcome or uncomfortable or anything ! Couldn’t recommend enough !
