Positive experience: I won’t give a low review as I’ve always had a good experience here. Unfortunately this time the guy (said he’s from India) made a complete mess of my hair! So much so I turned around halfway home after looking in the mirror to ask him to at least try and fix it! Maybe this guy needs some more training and an assessment by the boss! Every other time has been fine so I guess just avoid this guy until he’s had some further training

Fantastic experience: Asked for a low fade on the back and a mid taper on the side and Akair gave me a better trim than I expected. Brilliant stylist, 10/10 service.

Negative experience: Rudest barber(Indian guy). Not even have patience to listen what customer expects. Came all the way from Hykeham after seeing positive reviews. But Returned back without hair cut. Better stay away and can find some other barbers who spend some time to listen and then cut. THE WORST EVER.

Negative experience: Came in with my boyfriend today (10/05/25) for a mid skin fade and left disappointed. The start of the hair cut he had to ask the barber to clean his equipment as it was very dirty. He then proceeded to start cutting his hair and messed up straight away, giving him a high fade and both side don’t even match. The barber seems to have little to no knowledge of Afro hair texture as he kept brushing the wrong way. It very much felt like a trust the process kind of hair cut but after 45 minutes it wasn’t even worth the £10 he paid. We then got home and the barber even missed hair behind his ears! So my boyfriend had to fix it himself. The boss was there and had to tell one of the other barbers to clean the hair off his station instead of sitting on his phone. The place is visibly dirty with dust everywhere and dirt under the barbers tables that looks like it has been there for months. The Afro comb used was extreme dirty and looked like it was caked it dandruff and when the barber cleaned he was flicking god knows what on the floor. It was a really friendly environment but I really don’t think a barber is the right career for him.

Fantastic experience: Good quality cuts, exceptional venue cleanliness and overall quite a high quality barbers. Been going for nearly a year now since I changed from my previous one. Last time I had mine done was by a guy in there called Baz I believe. I highly recommend his work, one of the freshest cuts I've had yet. Obviously I'm going to keep going.

Negative experience: How do i even start this. My hair has been ruined for the next month. I asked for a mid skin fade and i received a high skin fade. Secondly i asked for a little off the top and half my hair was gone on the floor. I dont know how the barber could possible believe that this is a haircut that is desired by anyone. AVOID

Negative experience: Normally when I go I have an okay experience most the time with an okay haircut most the time, however there have been times they have completely botched the job… My latest experience was by far the most terrible, one of the newer staff members who is Kurdish from London but works there now was the one to cut my hair, he rushed through it, had hardly any patience, was on the phone and started making judgmental comments and being obviously rude… when he wasn’t doing it how I wanted I would stop him and try explain but he wouldn’t listen and didn’t care and would start speaking his language with his the other workers and even worse start laughing too, although I couldn’t understand much, I knew it was about me and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable… if I could I would give this service 0 stars and to make matters worse, the only reason I go is because it’s a not so bad haircut for £15 but after this haircut the owner Marden proceeded to charge me £20 and hid the screen from me so I couldn’t see… I had the same haircut I normally would get that I’ve been charged £15 for previously each time so this time I knew something was off and I feel highly disrespected and violated. This is not the type of service the business should be running and its sad because the other barber I would normally go to is a really cool chill guy who listens but he wasn’t there. Hopefully the Kurdish guy who started recently is fired and more people notice his absolutely disgusting behaviour. Edit: I was also there and I also know what happened… I thought deeply in my review and this is how I felt this had happened, hopefully as a customer of your service you will take this on board and appropriately deal with unprofessional behaviour like that, there is no time limit on a haircut and I’ve been before for longer than 45 mins and I still paid £15 cmon mate. As you can see there are pictures attached showing the not so practical and unprofessional handling of a client, there should not be this many cuts on anybody coming into a barbershop, not unless the barber was overly rushing or being aggressive, this is unacceptable and not up to the standard of how a service being paid for should be done. I want a refund as I did not get the service I paid for and I don’t even feel comfortable leaving my house in this state.

Negative experience: Went there and came out with cuts and a wonky beard as well as patches on the top back of my head, felt like the barber was just trying to rush to finish and didn’t really care and just overall general bad service, had me feeling uneasy and uncomfortable, definitely won’t be coming again. Was also charged more than advertised… this isn’t how a business should be run. I want my money back which is the £20 that I paid as I am not okay with being robbed blind and the barber should be fired… which probably won’t happen because they are probably friends with the owner… beware of bad business and definitely don’t go during peak times or you get this type of treatment. DO NOT GO HERE

Negative experience: My barber was rude and seemed like he was rushing, was on the phone and they kept speaking in different languages, he would ask me a question then speak and laugh in a different language with his co workers like they were judging me etc… this isn’t right and is a vile way to behave in a professional business, my barber also kept throwing things on the side and seemed rather aggressive, dropped a comb on the floor, kept throwing things to the side, I don’t know how this can be considered okay bearing in mind the owner was working 2 seats away from him at the time… then again he was talking to the owner in their language so they must be friends so must be a level of protection going on here… this business is UNACCEPTABLE!

Negative experience: I asked for a mid fade, i received a high fade. I also asked for a little of the top and he cut half the length of my hair off. Not ideal when I said I wanted to grow my hair out. Also did not leave space for the parting to hang over. Another issue was the fading. It wasn’t even blended well. Will not be coming back to this place again. Don’t go to this place as they rush your haircut, constantly looking at his watch instead of focusing on the cut.

Fantastic experience: What an absolutely brilliant bloke Mardn acctually is. Besides all the popularity that Mardn has received in the past few years due not only to his brilliant barbering skills but his kindness and genuineness as a man. Recently I was unfortunate enough to have broken my leg severely and need several operations to happen my leg heal. So I’m currently at home with a big scaffold that is holding my leg together drilled in place by my bones either side of my knee which is where I have had the break. So I’m unable to get anywhere out or do anything for about 6 months for this to heal I’ve been feeling downand really fancied getting a haircut just make me feel a bit fresh, you know what they say makes ya feel like a new man anyways I messaged Mardn and told him my situation, he has proceeded to come at his quickest availability to freshen me up (FOR FREE!) And also proceeded to tell me that for the next however long that I’m struggling he will come every few weeks free of charge to freshen it up. True genuiness… What a brilliant bloke, I wouldn’t go anywhere else

I drove from Newark to get my hair cut as nowhere in my area stays open past 5. Will be my regular barbers from now on accepts card and open 7 days a week.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible, this barber can not be trusted. Told him short the top a little bit, my man just left me a little bit of hair on top. Understand that is a busy day, but he rushes too much, feels like his digging my head with razor.

Negative experience: Been here a few times with no issues but this time a total disaster. After getting home, I had to attempt to rectify my fringe as it was more than wonky, think a mountain range, I have a chunck out of the top of my hair. There is no doubt the man who cut my hair is either unqualified or training. Ive never had to review a barbers, but so poor is this job I cant not.Either way, it's totally unacceptable, and I won't be back.

Fantastic experience: Mardan is amazing and so kind hearted. I contacted him to see if he would be able to help as I have an elderly bed bound neighbour who said he would love a traditional shave. Not only did Mardan come out after work to give him a shave, but he also shaved his hair and trimmed his eyebrows and also left him some aftershave - all free of charge. Thankyou so much Mardan. The gentleman said he felt like a King after you had worked your magic and the smile on his face was priceless. It was so selfless and lovely of you to do that and I can't recommend and thankyou enough

Negative experience: I just wanted a skinfade and said do not touch the top and i have walked out with half my hair is cut higher than the other, he started cutting the top and said I didn’t want it , he has not faded my hair at all it was cut with a zero and thats it , do not recommend, not the best attitude either, fuming

Negative experience: I asked for a skin fade and got a skin no fade , I asked for a shape up and they ruined my hair , I wanted to grow my Afro out and they just cut too much off and the fade was way too high . I wouldn’t recommend to anyone . I will never be returning.

Fantastic experience: Hi my husband its reguraly customer there and they are really best. All of them so profesional! By the way the next door barber its same owner same good quality. And even if you need to fix your beard or mustache, they automatically take care of it without asking for more money. Thats why they deserve always some tips aswell. Thanks boys!
