I had my hair cut by Moe which was an extremely positive experience, he listened to exactly what I wanted and made suggestions but didn’t push for anything I didn’t want. He is incredibly skilled. I was not rushed at all which is often the case with other barber shops. I would strongly recommend Moe and Razors Edge in Royal Oak.

The guy is an absolute magician with hair; super friendly, kind, and unbelievably skilled at what he does. I’ve officially left Johnny’s Barbershop and will only be going to Aro from here on out. Negative experience: After going there for years, all of a sudden my son was charged for a bald fade...It was NOT a bald fade since i could not see the skin...very disappointed and will be going elsewhere

The work was messy and uneven; and in rush I had to go home and re-level my beard myself, which means I completely wasted my money. The barber seemed to have 100% talking experience but only about 10% cutting experience. Not a good and clean job at all."

Fantastic experience: This is the best barber shop in YYC. All the guys here are excellent barbers, they have a lot of fun at work, and it shows in their service. I came in late on a Sunday (4:40pm) and Eddy was able to get me in for a much needed cut, which turned out great. Bradley has also done my hair with similar results. Fantastic experience: There are two things people look for in a barber: great cuts and consistency. I’ve gotten more than 10 cuts from Steveo, and he hasn’t missed once. Every haircut has been spot-on. On top of that, any suggestions he makes only improve the final result. I recommend Steveo to all of my friends, and I can’t recommend him enough. If you’re looking for a barber who delivers every single time, Steveo is the guy.

Negative experience: Worst customer service Had to explain I had an appointment at 10 multiple times that guy couldn't even understand this. Fixed an appointment for haircut and hair colouring. The guy who did my hair was very disinterested and was fully focused on the soccer game on the TV. And then came the next guy who suggested for highlighting instead of bleaching and after I didn't that I couldn't see the colour and asked him, he said basically to bleach it fully once again. Wasted my time here, totally disappointed with this and customer service as well. No thanks, won't visit them again

Cut ambiance, atmosphere, distinct, direct, fast, knowledgeable, friendly, but not too friendly, smart, and style. If SAL is not in the MOE or the others are well trained and great barbers. Negative experience: Went to this place given it has such a high google review score. It is entirely undeserving of that score. Worst haircut I've ever had. Barber rushed to get it done even though there was no customers waiting and three other barbers sitting around doing nothing. He also managed to put deep scratches all over the back of my neck. Had the privilege of paying 50$ for a hair cut that looks like I did myself at home while blindfolded.

Negative experience: They need to re-evaluate their customer service. I used to go there for haircuts especially for Sal, as he is a good barber and always treated me well. Yesterday I called to book a haircut with Sal but they informed me that it’s his day off and asked me whether I want to go ahead with someone else and I said yes. They also said I can walk in as it is not busy. I reached there 10 minutes earlier and the guy who spoke to me on the phone asked me whether I am the one who called earlier asking for Sal. I said yes and he asked me to come to his station and take a seat. He put the white cloth on me and asked me what style I want. As he was starting to cut my hair another customer walked in and his attention got diverted to him. He asked the customer whether he was in a rush or not and the customer responded “ I am not in a rush but it would be better if I could get it done quicker”. (The customer did not have any booking either). After this the barber told me that he got this customer he needs to attend and someone else will take care of me. Even though he prepared me for a haircut and put the white cloth on me. I had to take everything off and move to a different station. Neither he was apologetic nor he showed any remorse after. The barber who took care of me later was very apologetic and did a good job. The previous management was better. Spend your money somewhere else. *I don’t remember the barber’s name but he is the tallest guy there and also likes to talk a lot unnecessarily.

This last time, Aro was super accommodating to what my boy wanted, kept him chatting the whole time, and he left feeling super confident. He even had me laughing a few times! Tony cut the younger kiddo, who is very shy, and he left feeling happy and confident too. They both double checked with me that what the boys wanted was okay with me, and confirmed that they nailed it. The kids are already looking forward to going back again. It's a super welcoming environment, and they're usually able to get them cut same day, in less than 30 mins.
