Experiencia negativa: My husband made an appointment here and we specifically asked for someone who had experience with long curly hair. Walked in at 9 am and thank goodness the barber was honest with us and said he does not feel comfortable doing long curly hair. We appreciated that. But why would the reception desk schedule us with someone who does not feel comfortable with curly hair. It’s the businesses responsibility to understand and know their employees. He proceeded to say someone that does have experience with curly hair would be back at 11. We waited 2 hours just to find out that person was fully booked. A waste of time and poor management and customer service.

Experiencia positiva: I love the atmosphere and the good conversation. My haircut was pretty good, I can give it a 9 out of 10. I decided to get a beard trim because I was growing it out and just wanted a good shape and foundation but that was the mistake. My beard was pretty much ruined and I had to shave down the bulk of it. The sides were like twice as long as the chin and some parts were really short on one side but way longer on the other. I'm honestly just more upset that I spent money on a beard trim when I could have done it better at home myself. Beard grooming should have as much attention to detail as a haircut. Maybe this was just a one-off but if the barber's skills aren't up to par for beard services they should not offer it. I would also recommend handing your clients a mirror after a beard trim so they can actually see it and make sure they're satisfied before sending them out the door. It's unfortunate but I'm not extremely upset about it, I don't need any compensation or anything. Thanks Edit: I also looked online at your website and it says a haircut comes with a wash that I also did not get.

Experiencia negativa: Hands down worst hair cut experience from a barber named Sydney U from Kc West plaza store. I was her first customer in the morning and as soon as I sat down she told me with an attitude that if you want a zero fade you have to schedule another type of appointment . All I wanted was a skin fade with an electric razor. I have been going to Hudson and Hawk for 2 years in Springfield downtown store with Niko and some other barbers they always did a zero fade with an electric razor in Original Cut (not a blade). When I shared this with Sydney she said that every store has one policy and way of doing stuff but they might have accommodated me with giving me a zero fade with Original cut service. Isn’t that crazy? Accommodating me for 2 years??? She didn’t even use the massage machine on my back at the end. I know that is a regular service at the end of every service and she didn’t do it. Definitely should have went to a barber school and gave that money to a barber student because they wouldn’t neither have an attitude nor not giving me a haircut cut style I didn’t want to.

Experiencia negativa: Not sure what happened from the last time I went but I would strongly recommend NOT going to this establishment. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 3pm appointment that was scheduled to last 30 minutes. I was seated for my appointment at 3:15 and was “done” before 3:30pm. At first glance the cut looked great but I failed to see the back of my head which looks pretty bad if you ask me. The lines aren’t straight, the cut isn’t even, and so much more is wrong than I care to admit. I foolishly tipped the person who cut my hair too. I won’t be going back here again and will be forced to wear a hat for the foreseeable future so that I can avoid the jokes from friends/family about how bad of a haircut I got.

Experiencia fantástica: Britany (one T) has been cutting my hair for several months at the Leawood location. I and many clients have followed her to the West Plaza location. She possesses exceptional listening skills, enabling her to understand her clients' preferences and translate them into remarkable haircuts. Barbers like Britany are the reason why Hudson Hawk enjoys its reputation for providing high-quality haircuts. If you are looking for a Barber, Britany (with one T) is my personal recommendation. The West Plaza location has an industrial vibe unlike that of Leawood. Both are great.

Experiencia negativa: So Bad. Don't go. I've been going here for over a year, and they've ran through soo many different barbers sense than. Why the high turnover rate? I found this one guy, named Carter. But all of a sudden, he reschedules a haircut multiple times. No confirmation and than I get charged for a No show. Please. They don't offer full services like they say they do on their website. Customer Service there is a joke. Watch out. They love to do nefarious ways to screw you over with your money. Plenty of other places around WestPort.

Experiencia negativa: I am graduating this weekend (told the barber why I was there and that it was a big deal to me) and went in just to get cleaned up and was very clear that I wanted a taper. The girl cutting my hair took taper to mean mid/high fade and buzzed the sides of my head so the one time I walk in my life will be with an undercut I didn’t want… I was clear in what I wanted and figured the BARBER would know what a taper is, or at-least ask what I meant since I was clear I just got my hair cut a week prior and barely wanted anything off, and that is not at all what happened. Can’t put in to word how upset I am, years has gone in to this weekend and I have done EVERYTHING I could to make it go smoothly and I would have been better off not getting my hair cut today. She said “ I just do a mid FADE if they don’t specify”.. Well i did specify when I said taper and don’t appreciate it when she makes it sound like I’m the one at fault. When I called the corporate office they kept telling me to send pictures over for training purposes.. How do you all screw somebody over and instead of trying to make it right you ask them to go through more hoops? I told the lady with corporate it was a fine hair cut IF it is what I asked for, so picture would do no good, but she just kept asking.. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!

Experiencia negativa: Had a haircut scheduled and drove in from Lawrence only to be told that my hairstylist called off for the day. There was zero attempt to try and reach me before my appointment to communicate this to me. That's real shifty customer service yall. This lack of communication in any kind of relationship, professional or otherwise, is a red flag. The receptionist helped me reschedule my appointment for an hour later but I just didn't show up. Not the kind of place I want to be giving my money to which is a shame since I just moved here and was hoping to find a barber shop I could trust. I'm sure yall do great work but I will not be sticking around to find out. Hope yall get better at communicating to your customers in the future :>

Experiencia negativa: Had been coming here for a long time (started at the Columbia MO location). Always liked going and always liked the cuts. A few months ago I showed up at the time of my appointment and had to reschedule because my barber was behind schedule. Was okay with that because it hadn't happened before. This week I had a 9am appointment scheduled and got an email at 8:15am day-of saying they had to cancel my appointment because the barber no longer worked there. Did he quit/get fired in the middle of the night? Why was I able to book an appointment in the first place? And why could I not get any more notice that I would need to reschedule? Again, overall I liked this as a barbershop but the lack of reliability on booking appointments combined with the consistent turnover in barbers has made me go elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my son in for a haircut, I had high hopes but minimal expectations. Bailey was amazing. He was nervous about change and lacked confidence, afraid of being teased. Bailey, listened, coached and supported. He came out with a huge smile, confidence and the cut he had drastically been wanting. Asked if he started saving his allowance if he could go back more often. We will be back for sure, the professionalism and the skill set were more than we could ask for. It really did help change a young mans outlook on himself. It was much more than just a haircut, it was a lesson in self care and self worth. BIG thanks and recommendation from this dad.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been getting my haircut here for years and normally have really good experiences. However today I made an appointment, and After over 20 min of waiting I was told there wasn’t enough time to cut my hair. Leaves me pretty disappointed on why I made an appointment to begin with. There was time to go 25 min over on someone else’s time but not enough time to cut my hair even though I scheduled an appointment days in advance. That’s a first to me and pretty upset I wasted my time.
