I scheduled an appointment with Michael for a haircut and I was in and out before I knew it. Despite my hair being longer and not knowing what I wanted, he was able to give me tips on what would look good.

Experiencia fantástica: I was forced to find a new stvlist when mv former stylist retired due to medical reasons. I was so thankful when M Hair opened nearby. Quick and capable can be used to describe the cutters at M Hair. They haven't been open very long and they've already renovated the space to accommodate more chairs and cutters, which speaks volumes in regards to how most customers feel about their experience. Michael, the owner, tries his best to greet every potential customer with kindness and respect. All his cutters speak English and Vietnamese, but I've heard him communicate with some Chinese-speaking customers about wait times and availability in both Mandarin and Cantonese as well. Impressive as Chinese is not his first language. Regarding availability, there will usually be a cutter available either immediately or after a short wait if you don't have a preference for any specific cutter. Michael is my cutter and he's almost always booked up days, if not a week or more in advance. So, for Michael at least, appointments are recommended. Bc he cuts pretty fast, he sometimes does have bandwidth to squeeze in a drop-in w/o an appt. He's done that for me on a few occasions. Appts can be made via phone or (as I prefer) online via their website and are set ~30min apart. My cut of choice is a buzz cut (high 1/2 fade straight up on the sides, even 5 guard on top) which usually only takes 10-15min, so I'm usually in and out pretty quick. Even though the cut is quick, it certainly doesn't lack the desired precision. In the hands of other cutters outside of M, I've always experienced uneven fade lines and patchiness, leading to assymetry. Suffice it to say, I've become pretty adept at "fixing" my own hair after the fact, in the past. Ever since going to M, I 've had no need to do any fixing. That peace of mind is priceless. All the while during the cut, Michael stays attentive and ready to assist all other customers and cutters should a need arise, w/o missing a beat on his own duties in the moment. Certainly a trait you like to see in any business owner who cares about the quality and appearance of his service and product. After the cut is finished, he confirms with you that everything was satisfactory with your cut experience before moving on to his next customer. In addition to your pick of cutters, payment options are also flexible. Of course, cash is preferred, but customers may also pay/tip via Zelle. Definitely an welcome option that accommodates the wider spectrum of customer tech savvyness, which I think customers would appreciate. In the end, if you're looking for a place to get a precision cut at a reasonable price w/o complications, certainly look to Michael and his group of capable stylists. I can't recommend them enough. I've raved about Michael and M to my wife enough to even pique her interest. She's now had her hair cut by Danny, Michael's brother. Bottom line, give M Hair a shot! You won't regret it!

He’s very detailed and uses different trimmers repeatedly to make sure the fade and blend are exactly the way I want, and you can tell he’s not rushing at all. The price is very reasonable compared to other places, and the shop can get busy, so I highly recommend booking an appointment in advance. Definitely coming back

Everyone’s nice and welcoming here. I usually reserve my appointment, and I don’t have to wait as they’re available at the booked time. I had been getting cuts from Jennie, or Michael sometimes. I am at times a bit uncertain with what the style I need and sometimes asks for inputs, and Jennie is really great with suggestions. She’s the best and I always leave with a great style. Everyone seems good here and am sure you’ll have a good experience no matter who you see, highly recommend this place.

Experiencia negativa: I came in wanting a haircut and I should have known the jig was up because before I even sat in the hair the lady looked bewildered and was straight laughing at me. Whatever. I brushed it off I because I was tired from work and my hair was irritating me. That’s when I should have just ran away. I showed the woman a hair 360 video that I screen shotted and was looking for a short wolf cut and I came out looking like Lord Farquaad/Will Byers. The woman did not even check in how short I wanted my hair to be she only checked in with me for the length of the back and completely chopped off the sides of my hair. Needless to say I will NOT be coming back ever again. If I can give negative rating I would. I already looked chopped before and this lady just doubled it.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a customer since they first opened in 2023, referred there by a customer who has had his hair cut by Michael for ~20 years at previous locations. After my first haircut here, I decided to go there exclusively. The staff are consistent, the cuts/trims/fades are modern and what folks are typically looking for. Meanwhile they're reasonably priced. I've also gotten perms done here too. What I like best is that they have a simple online booking system and that they are in a plaza with plenty of options for parking, even on busy days. If all this is what you're looking for in the Fremont area, go here. They've since expanded the number of seats and have even more barbers!

Experiencia negativa: I have been a weekly client for over a year now. Today was such a disappointing experience that it is my last time coming here. I book Christy every Wednesday and today was the first day I didn’t because I misread the days she was off for thanksgiving. I came in and saw she was in and not cutting hair. I begged them to switch barbers so Christy could cut me like she always does and Christy was the same me who denied to swap.. so I get the cut by the other barber and he completely messed up my hair cut and she just sat there. Super disappointed, I offered to wait or pay more because the mistake was mine. The solution and opportunity was there, she just didn’t want to cut my hair and sat on her iPad.

Experiencia negativa: The guy who cut my hair, JUSTIN, did not follow my instructions and when I was telling him what I want, he said "this is how I do it, if you do not like it in the end, I will fix it", which doesn't even make any sense! How would you fix it after it has been cut already? Despite telling him not to, he cut my hair super short and when I called him out, he got pissed off and started being rude saying from next time I can just wait for the person who usually does my haircut.
