Experiencia negativa: Don't be fooled by the fancy decor – this place is a complete rip-off. The salon looks nice on the inside, but that’s just a facade for total incompetence. I paid an astronomical $75 for what turned out to be the worst haircut of my life. The service was terrible and the result is so bad that I’m genuinely embarrassed to be seen in public. It seems they spend all their money on mirrors instead of hiring stylists who actually know how to use scissors. A total waste of money. Avoid this place at all costs.

When I arrived I expressed “I need the best haircut, I’ve ever had” He was not intimated with the request, I hardly knew what I wanted but he knew what I needed. It has been a week now since my haircut and I will say that it is indefinitely the best haircut that I’ve ever gotten. He even put me onto a moisturizing product that makes my hair look sharper and with this haircut I will say I feel more like the man that I’ve been becoming. I will confidently say whatever occasion you need your haircut for- THIS shop is the place to go in Reno, NV. I will add that after you leave this business complex, take a right turn onto huffaker ln, and bring yourself to the top of the hill near the amphitheater over there. You will see one of the best views of the city lights in town. Truely looking forward to doing business with Sean again :)

I thank God every day I didn’t sit in that chair—I dodged a certified bullet.

Well I'm glad that it happened this way. I have had a really hard time finding someone who knows how to fade in this town. There’s nowhere else in town that can create a masterclass fade in 15-20 minutes. The waiting area is always stocked with refreshments as well as a massage chair should there be any wait. Experiencia negativa: Not sure I can write a bad enough review to make up for the haircut. Was cocky the entire time and worked so fast it was obvious he was trying to get me out. Says on the phone "walk ins are welcome" but then lectures you and is obviously upset about not having a appointment. The haircut I got was nothing like the picture I showed and actually left some bald patches. Hairline was pushed back and is very crooked. Bad enough for me to not even want to post a review picture here. Then charged 60 bucks for it. All I can say is Goodluck.

Experiencia negativa: Went to Sean for a few months. He is good at cutting hair. His price for a haircut (regardless of beard trim or not) is $60. If you don’t have a beard, the value of a $60 haircut, in my opinion, is not worth it. Booking through Sean’s website is easy and convenient. However, he does not hold true to this booking method. He will take walk-ins or double book his appointments when you book and confirm an appointment with him. This happened to me twice. It’s one thing to be running a little late due to appointments as a barber. That’s not a problem and understandable. Twice, I showed up for my haircut at say 1200. He finished a haircut and had another person in front of me he still had not started. My time, like most people’s and Sean’s, is valuable and important. The fact Sean double books his appointments is completely disrespectful to his client’s time, and therefore renders his appointment process useless. After the second time of showing up early to my scheduled appointment (and also texting Sean to confirm it), only to be told there’s an entire haircut in front me, I told Sean I will not be coming back. Might as well go to a chain haircut place and wait in the same line. Sean is a decent barber. His business skills are lacking. I will take my business to a barber who cuts hair just as well, but respects my time, like I do theirs.

Experiencia negativa: TLDR: terrible place with bad barbers (tried two of them) with very unclean workstations. I cannot emphasize enough how I would not recommend this place. You should make a mistake once, but I did it twice, so here it goes: I went to this salon first time few months ago. I gave a courtesy heads up that my hair will take longer than usual due to my long hair and coarse texture. I went in to get a haircut from Hanzo. The dude seemed to not having it, he was not polite and rather would get me off his chair as fast as possible. The cut was noticebly uneven, I mentioned multiple times and he would manage to screw it up even more. I ended up giving up on him making it better and asked him to stop, I ended up finding parts of my hair clearly not even touched when I got home. He aligned my beard as well, any person can tell that it is very crooked. Bad haircut with terrible attitude. They mentioned that their salon policy they can fix your hair afterwards if you don’t like it for free, but I was not planning to have this guy touch my hair again. I was better off fixing it myself. The second time I went there because a friend suggested I should have book Sean instead. I gave a courtesy call as I always do, my hair does and will take longer than 20 minutes, he asked if I could pick my hair and wash it, when I gladly did. I went on time and he was not there, he came in 15 minutes late. After he started cutting my hair, I noticed he was only using one hand! I do not care how good you are, you should be measuring the hair with one hand and use the scissors with the other, but I digress. He managed to have his scissors on my nick, which did not cause a cut, but was a terrifying feeling. This time I noticed how unclean and unsanitary the place is, hair on every surface, and unclean scissors and shaving blades everywhere. I have not noticed a single disinfecting machine anywhere. As his colleague, he managed to have my hair way shorter than I asked for, and more uneven beard and hair than his colleague. All in all terrible service with terrible barbers. I strongly discourage anyone to go there.

Experiencia negativa: Booked an appointment for a cut. I was very much on the fence about a 20 minute $60 men's haircut. I was worried it would feel rushed, even if he was a wizard. Why not just allow for a half hour? I was willing to overlook his comments on several previous reviews that seemed to suggest an ego rather than a desire to make things right. But I assumed that you get what you pay for and that Sean would be some sort of hair god. And that it would be an experience "unlike anything else you can get in Reno". That last part was true. I drove an hour over the hill from Tahoe after my appointment was confirmed to a small place in a plaza tucked behind a car wash. The room looked like an oversized closet. Hair was all over the floor from a previous customer which hadn't been cleaned up. No decorations, no "massage chairs while you wait", no ambiance, it just looked like a closet. Whatever, I just wanted a good haircut, right? But no one was at the desk or anywhere to be seen. I rang the bell for assistance multiple times, no one showed up. I wanted to leave immediately, given how sketchy the situation felt and how nothing was as promised, but waited 15 minutes until giving up and leaving. Just plain weird. It's unfortunate because I was excited to get my first haircut in a long time and was leaving on a trip. I wanted it to work. I drove two hours round trip and burned a lot of gas. I was willing to pay a premium to get it done right. I can't speak to his skills with clips, but everything else was a sad and costly disappointment.

While it may be a little rough around the edges now, but it'll obviously be premium barber shop with amazing design and features when it is shortly completed.
