Experiencia negativa: My husband went in for a cut today. His side burns are uneven and he literally has bald spots where it looks like she slipped with the clippers. I have pictures, but it won't let me post them. Weldon is more expensive, but you get an exceptional hair cut there EVERY TIME. We won't be back to The Man Shop.

Experiencia positiva: Like with all barber shops it's hit or miss. Sometimes you're going to get a barber that is feeling it that day and really enjoying their job. Some days you're going to get somebody that's just feeling a chair and wants to go home. And there aren't many things as damaging to a man's ego than a bad haircut. It can really really mess with a human being

While every barber shop can feel “hit or miss” at times, our goal is consistency with every guest, every visit. We work hard to coach and train our team so that no matter who you sit with, you receive a quality cut.
That said, you can always request a specific stylist. Many of our guests find someone they really connect with and stick with them. If there’s a barber here who you’ve had a great experience with before, we highly recommend requesting them when you check in. We’re always happy to accommodate when possible.

Experiencia negativa: I have had two bad cuts of my last three, my most recent tells me I should stop coming here for a faded high and tight as my wife and her hair stylist bff say I now look like Lloyd Christmas with a bowl cut.
I’m really sorry to hear this, especially after more than one disappointing visit. That’s understandably frustrating, and a high and tight fade should be clean, sharp, and consistent every time.

Experiencia negativa: This is arguably one of the worst haircuts my son has ever had, and paying 30 dollars for a children's haircut is ridiculous. The Asian woman wearing a face mask who was cutting hair should seriously consider going back to school to improve her skills; the cut was so uneven basically butchered my son's hair keep yourself away from this location

Experiencia negativa: Checked in an was told it would be about 20 min. Waited over an hour while at least 15 other people went ahead of me. People who were not there when I checked in. People who "checked in on line". Checking in on line is a lie. A hair cut should be a calming and relaxing experience. Not the frustration of knowing that everyone who came in after you is going to get served before you. I need to find a real barber shop, NOT an online shop.

You are not required to use online check-in to visit our shop, but it can help streamline your visit. We did review our cameras and talked with the team involved. After looking into it, we confirmed that your child had both hands over their ears during the attempt to start the haircut. In that position, it isn’t safe for our staff to use clippers or scissors, and we can’t force any child into a haircut if they’re uncomfortable or unable to keep their hands clear. Our goal is always to keep every child safe, including yours.

Experiencia negativa: Trying to make a appt. The application is very difficult to navigate and Trying to make appointment confusing. When Trying to call shop staff talk down to you for not knowing how to use appt and won't make a verbal appt.you need to accept call for appt.

Just to clarify, we don’t book appointments at all. Everything is done on a walk-in basis, and the online check in is only for checking in ahead of time to help estimate your place in line. Even with that, we should still be polite and helpful when someone calls with questions.

Experiencia fantástica: Sue saved me!! I came in after a terrible haircut yesterday at a different shop, and asked if there was anything that could be done? Sue is a master: she has a keen eye, a great sense of what looks good, and hands like a virtuoso pianist. She's the only barber I will go to from now on. Period. Thank you, Sue!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I dont usually leave reviews but Isaiah is absolutely amazing. Brought my teenage son in after a bad experience last time we were here when the woman actually refused to cut his hair claiming it was too thick. I almost went somewhere else but im glad I didn't. Isaiah gave him more than a haircut its more like a makeover he looks like a different kid. He has never looked more handsome and I can tell he feels more confident. They talked the whole haircut when my son usually doesn't say a word we will be back just for your haircuts and wonderful conversation! Thank you so much for everything Isaiah ❤️

Experiencia positiva: I've never been to a barbershop that charged by how close of a cut you get. Most places, a haircut, is a haircut, is a haircut. I asked for a skin tight fade and they told me it would cost extra to go down to skin.

Experiencia fantástica: I first got a haircut from the man with neon-colored hair, and it was a terrible experience — the cut was awful and he was rude and disrespectful don’t bother wasting your time and money on him. I came back and Renee fixed everything. She was kind, professional, and gave me a great haircut. Renee is the reason I’ll be returning.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed with this shop again! I’m not too sure why we book online, the stylist decided to take a lunch break right after we walked in! Mind you it was a 45 minute wait just to get the appointment. She took almost 30 minutes for lunch, came back and took another 10-15 minutes just to set up her station. Then proceeded to cut a child’s hair which is fine cuz he was ahead of me, what frustrated me was it took her over 30 minutes to cut a Mohawk! So I left after an hour wait when it shouldn’t have at all been that long! I will continue to go to the shop on Hastings which isn’t close to my house, but they are way more professional and efficient. No reason why a 10 minute bang trim should have even come close to being that long of a wait..
Experiencia fantástica: I wish I could give them 10 stars. I'm deliriously happy with my haircut and my eyebrow maintenance. I walked into that shop feeling like a burly male caterpillar. My eyebrows were giving Eugene Levy, and my hair is growing out from total loss because of chemotherapy. Kayla sent me on my way feeling like a beautiful woman, again. I'd also want to thank Renee for taking my call and helping me get started as a definite repeat customer of The Man Shop. $25 for my haircut, $15 for my eyebrows-- you can't beat the price or the customer service. Ladies, despite the name, this shop, off Division, will welcome you with open arms.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible service lately. Been going here for years. But last few times are sub par and now they changed it to online booking instead of call ahead. I was told a 40 minute wait at 430 I said put me down for 530 and was told no you need to book online. So I go online and none of the features work. Guess it's time for a new place without the hassle.
tested and online works fine. 3 clicks and Francis/Division loaded. That was using Brave with a vpn. Our apologies if yours didnt work. The phone was ringing nonstop and interrupting customers mid cut so went to online checkin. You can still reach the shop if go thru phone prompts. Appreciate your past business, sorry not happy with changes
Experiencia negativa: So this company did a free children's haircut day at my son's school. I thought this was a fun thing and to have "certified" person cut his hair would be fine. It was anything but. It's terrible! They just buzzed it all off. I wish I could include a photo. What the hell happened? You are telling me this was a perfessional? The Army would do a better job. Well, I guess you get what you paid for, but I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never do this again. Unbelieveable!

To clarify, for this event we partnered with the New Tech Skill Center and had several of their students join our staff to help provide free haircuts as part of a learning opportunity for them. This was communicated in advance through our Facebook page so parents could make an informed decision.
Regarding the haircut itself, a 1 guard on the sides and a 2 on top is considered a standard buzz cut — the difference between the two is just 1/8 of an inch. If this wasn't the style you intended, we apologize for the miscommunication and understand how frustrating that can be, especially when it comes to your child’s appearance.
Our goal is always to support the community and give students valuable experience while still delivering quality service. We’re sorry we missed the mark for you, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.
Experiencia positiva: It's a nice cut and the lady was nice, but she completely did her own thing. I showed her 3-4 photos of what I wanted and was really set on the length I wanted cause I love my curls, but she decides to do a more modern style instead of what I asked for. Her reasoning for doing a more modern style was "it makes your head look fat". I'm not SUPER upset because it's hair and it'll grow, but listening to ur clients and not doing your own things are the reasons why I won't be back.

Experiencia negativa: told her exactly what haircut i wanted, how much i wanted off, and how i liked it but STILL somehow she takes almost an entire inch off of the front and more than an inch off of the top even tho i said a half inch. also cut all of the hair off the back that took months to grow. AND had to pay extra because taper fades are a “specialty”. don’t go here

Experiencia negativa: Well, 1st time for my grandson has been here I just paid $35 plus a tip. It was a scissor ✂️ cut, taking 2 to 2.5 inches off, nothing special. I was charged $35 even though sign says scissor cut is $25, so I ask why $35 she said because it was long. Are u kidding me. There was NOTHING special about the hair cut. We will NOT be back. Don't come here if u have to cut off 2 or more inches of hair. Rushed haircut will cost u $40

Experiencia negativa: I called in today @1:15pm today to be put on the list like I've done every 4th Monday for a Long time. The person on the phone said 20-25 minutes. I was just down Francis so I took my time getting there. When I got there the lady wearing the mask said I wasn't in the computer, but was on the paper list and no problem, she'd take care of it. At 2:10 I thought I heard my name called so I went to the counter. The lady wearing the mask asked my name and rudely said there's 5 people ahead of me. My wife and service dog had been waiting in the car this entire time and the additude put me off so I left. Do Better.

Experiencia negativa: I usually love this place. This time I checked in online and was told that there was a 45 minute wait. Then when I showed up I was told that because I checked in before they opened it doesn't count. Stupidest thing I've heard in a long time. Waited 45 minutes past the time of my appointment then went to talk to the guy behind the counter who couldn't tell me why my online check-in was invalid or even why people who arrived after me were cutting the line, all he could seem to say is "I don't know". When I asked for a manager he told me the girl who actually took the line cutter back was the acting manager. She obviously knew the guy and gave him preferential treatment. The actual manager should be embarrassed that this is what happens in their absence.
Sorry Steve, we were having people call and stack the wait list then not all showed. We are about to roll out a new online check in that will be a bettter system. Sorry, we will share with staff to use better tact until we fix this

Experiencia fantástica: Jeremy, who happened/ to be working this store that day (he's the manager at the South Hill shop) took my boy on and gave him one of the best cuts he's had in a while. He's got a crazy cowlick in the back and forward growing massive amounts of hair lol. Can't thank him enough that it wasn't another buzz because they can't handle the cowlick!!! We will be asking for Jeremy again!!! Oh and the price was beyond the best part.

Experiencia positiva: Call in before you go. I waited 45 minutes and actually watched someone walk in than go out the door and call in and got called before me. Stylists couldn’t remember what I wanted and felt like I was being pushed out.
Experiencia negativa: The fella didn't ask how I wanted my hair cut, didn't let me look in the mirror, thought there was a lot of hair falling. Told him that the last gal used a #3 & #5 trimmer. But when I got home and looked, it was almost a buzz cut. Even at that some spots were considerably longer. My hair is pretty thin to begin with. It will be a while before I can even use a comb! Pissed!

Experiencia negativa: Hit or miss always, I’m always scared whether ima get a good barber or not. First haircut they accidentally gave me a buzz cut. Second one 3 months later was great but the guy technically didn’t work there or something he said he works at a different shop but he is there temporarily. 3rd one they cut my bangs when I never said to and messed up the fade. Workers need more experience or training. Or maybe I need to bring a list of things I don’t want done to my hair and things I want done. Just would love to enjoy my experience here and want to come back but so far I have been let down time after time.

Experiencia fantástica: Best cut I’ve gotten since switching barbers (I had the same barber for the last 18 years). I was told to request Sue and she did a phenomenal job! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she spent extra time to make it as clean as it could be, even though they were busy. I’ll definitely be going back and requesting Sue again, she deserves a raise!

Experiencia negativa: Everyone was super nice. I had no problems with any of the people or the way the place felt. It was the haircut my son and I got we spent 95$ for two hair cuts and some powder hair texturizer I specifically asked if I could get lined up with a straight razor and it did not happen. My fade was horrible and my sons fade was terrible he has lines everywhere. I will never go back to the man shop.

Those reading please disregard my below comment. Most of the time, I have little to no wait. Most of them do great work but there are a few I won't go to. They rush the work and it looks bad. Even when all I do is a simple buzz cut. The reason I gave it two stars, they show being opened on Sunday. There door shows 10am and Google does as well. I arrive at 1010 and nothing. Closed. Update your hours please. I went somewhere else. I planned to have it done Sunday, had I known it was closed I would have come in Saturday.
Hi Joshua, we are sorry yous showed up when we were closed. We are usually open on Sunday but we close Mothers day so our staff can spend time with their families. We suggest following us on social media to keep updated on our closures.

I suggest your stylist look at your website to see an example of a business mans cut is supposed to look like. The cut I received was uneven, left being much shorter than on the right; all for $30 bucks.

Experiencia negativa: My boyfriend came here and has curly hair, came in to get a basic trim and fade in the back. Instead he got a blunt chop on the back, extreme shortening in his hair and barber did not pay attention to the photo that was given, nor my boyfriends requests.

His comfort level at that age was grab a bag of popcorn and relax till it was his turn to be called, then he’d kick his shoes off at the booth and watch some cartoons at the booth. Now that he’s 9 he has a special request each time we come in and that’s if Chelsea isn’t working he’s not cutting his hair. she pays attention to all the little details a haircut entails and for that we love her.

Experiencia negativa: Have been going here for 3 years. Most of the staff are great! But as a business I can’t give them above a 1. Really have tried to support local and that’s why I’ve continued to go here. Staff changes often. Arrived today and was told it would be a 25-30 min wait. I was great with that because I didn’t call ahead to this non appointment establishment. You can call day if and get on the list…. So after 40 min I asked how many people ahead of me. Was told two. Then 5 people go ahead of me and I go and ask if I was accidentally deleted. The answer, ummmm. Let me go ask, said the lady looking at the list on the computer. She came back with another lady and I was magically up. So I get in the chair for 5 min and one of the staff members come and tells my stylist that they messed up on checking out the last person. 15 min later (now of only my fault, we are at the two hour mark) I tell the stylist cutting hair to the guy next to me, that I need to go. She gets the stylist who is fantastic and he comes and apologizes but that they have a new system and he has to fix it. I explain that I had been told that I’d been told it would be 25-30 min and I’m at the two hour mark. He quickly finishes, checks me out and was great. But I keep trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt. But it’s run horribly. There are other GREAT places to get local cuts in Spokane. So please support those businesses. This one has proven to be but disappointing

Experiencia positiva: I took my brother to treat him to a haircut and shave. It's reasonably priced for a decent haircut. He opted out of the shave because the stylist nicked his skin with the electric razor cleaning up the back of his neck. He said it didn't hurt but was not going to try the straight razor. Checking in is unorganized. You can call 30 minutes ahead but can't make an appointment. You are still placed on a waiting list. We waited an hour and a half to be called back. My brother was happy overall and really liked the shampoo they used.

Experiencia fantástica: After 30+ years of military-style clipper cuts I decided to try something "new". I've been to the North Division location twice so far and both times Kayla rocked it! A very skillful scissor cut with some layering and my modest head of hair has some "swing" to it again. Kayla took great care of me and I will definitely be back!

Experiencia positiva: I was able to make an appointment for my six-year-old son over the phone, so we didn't have to wait in line. The stylist did a great job and I thought my son looked quite handsome, until he decided he didn't like his hairstyle that way. They are a little pricey, but overall a good place to go.

Experiencia negativa: If im being honest and transparent I am picky when it comes to a hair cut but this was the worst fade I have ever gotten.I was cut and I litterly mean cut by a gal named Sue. She was super choppy and so is my hair cut. I asked her to blend it more and ended up just settling so it didn't get messed up worse. I asked for a zero fade and beard trim.she cut my neck a few times. I guess in the future I'll be patient and wait for my normal shop to open.

Experiencia negativa: The hairdresser very obviously didn’t know how to handle curly hair or something else was going on with her. My son and I were super gracious with her attitude. Would not recommend going here for curly hair. I so not appreciate the snarky attitude of the hairdresser when I asked her to not yank my sons head around because she was frantically trying to cut his curly hair.

Experiencia negativa: If I could, I'd give no stars. When you go in and say trim and even point out how much trim. They apparently don't know what trimming means. They'll just cut one whole side of your head and barely do anything on the other side. I was so embarrassed. Even co-workers and strangers would point it out before me. I've never felt so humiliated in my entire life. At least 4 barber locations in a ROW have made this repeat throughout Spokane.
