He was listening with great intent and care in the consultation prior to the cut, which let me know from the start I was in good hands. We had a great conversation and I walked away feeling better than I had before, and not just because of the amazing free hand technique styled-hair cut but because of the great connection and warm vibes Kenny and his crew offer. The Haircut itself was amazing. We joked that we should have taken a before and after photo but we just got swept up in the conversation. The barber was really nice, but I had a 1:00 appointment and he didn't arrive until after 1, and we didn't get started until closer to 1:15. This pushed the rest of my day back and caused some inconvenience, which is the only reason for the 4/5 stars. But once we got started the service was good, the haircut is great.

The first few times he was understanding but this last time he cut my beard complete and made it short. This is not what I wanted and it is serious matter because I keep my beard for religious reasons. I will no longer come to this shop. Thank you

Thorough work is done here with attention to detail, and it's a very welcoming and social environment. Experiencia fantástica: AO's work is fire! I have long locs cut into a mohawk shape (that used to have chunks of loose hair on one side) with the sides shaved. She fixed my locs, washed and retwisted them and gave me a fade with a fresh simple design in the side that looks better than I was even hoping! She was chill and friendly and super accommodating.

Experiencia negativa: The barber was talking shit about me while cutting my hair. They didnt cut it the way I asked and charged me 50 dollars. After making an appointment and not getting in the chair until an 1hr late not because he as busy but on purpose bc he didn't like the fact I was visibly upset because he was just chatting and wasting time even though he was already done cutting the guy in his chair. He was done with that guys cut before I even got there and was literally bullshitting.

As a new client, I appreciated how he checked in with me throughout the appointment, unlike many other barbers who often make assumptions. His fade was an A+, clear evidence of his skill and dedication. It’s obvious that he loves and is passionate about his craft. The shop itself set a relaxed, inviting vibe with smooth R&B music that made the wait enjoyable, only thing possibly missing was a fridge with water or a coffee machine. I also really loved the graffiti art on the walls! They hired a local artist to do it and it’s gorgeous. I got a high skin fade for the first time with a line to accentuate the top. I was scared and had him go subtle with it. But now I should’ve asked for the line to be a little more bold and should have also had it done in my eyebrow. Next time I’ll do it, I’ll be back in a few weeks !

I had my cut done by the man himself and I can tell that there’s a reason that he does this for living. Listened to what type of haircut I wanted and executed it even better than I expected. The atmosphere is excellent also with top notch music played in the background, nice comfortable chairs to sit in while you wait and conversation flowing like any typical black barbershop that I’ve experienced. I was so pleased with the experience both ahead of time (I emailed for a consultation) as well as when we entered the shop. It was clean, well lit, and Marcus was very helpful in making my almost three year old feel comfortable with his first cut. He was engaging with him and quick with his service! All needs for a parent with a toddler. We will be back. So glad to have this community in our neighborhood.

Experiencia negativa: The dude who cut me completely messed my head up and I have an interview in two days. I asked for a fade that started at my temple and he cut my hairline practically up to my crown and left no room for any sort of gradation, plus he didn't even cut it in a straight line. I wasn't happy when I left, but now that I've really had time to really look at it and show other people I'm just pissed. To fix what he messed up I have to get rid of a lot of top growth that I've been working on for months. I chose KM's because y'all were supposed to be the best Black barbershop around idk if the dude who cut my hair was brand new or what, but the work was terrible and he didn't seem to care or be able to try to fix it.
