Experiencia negativa: Severely over priced for customers; great for barbers that just want to get clients in and out. Specifically requested a fade and all home girl did was debulk my hair and trimmed it. She didn’t even offer me a mirror to look at my haircut when she was done, she just took the cape off and said “alright pay up at the counter”. I had to specifically request to have a handheld mirror to check, and sure enough it was a half-assed attempt at cutting hair. I asked the barber initially for a drop fade, she said “sounds good”. Once I picked up that mirror, I was too stunned and reminded her of what I wanted. Once again, only took 5 minutes to “taper” my sides which isn’t at all what I asked. No clipper work, no blending, it was like as if I picked up the clippers myself and said “might as well try”. Have went twice and will be the last time I step into a chain barbershop like Floyd’s again. If you want an actual fade done with care and effort, do not ever step foot into this facility.

Experiencia negativa: I went to this barbershop with my father asked for a shape up and a styling, when he started talking I could not understand what he was saying when I got my hair cut I got at least 1 and 1/2 inches cut off when all I asked for was a shape up I got a completely different hairstyle than the photos I showed. The shoulder massage that was promised was not given and he didn’t even style it right although there were kind people I will not be going back

Experiencia negativa: The one woman did a good job on one of my sons haircut, but did not style it nor provde the back rub. The guy cut off way more hair than asked to. He was shown a picture and my youngest looks nothing resembling it. And the guy only complained while he cut his hair. The one hispanic woman was great though. And they did push up our appt so that was nice. I tipped and all. But we wont come back.

Guy at the check in tried to tell me I was late, and then I showed him my confirmation of my appointment time, which I was on-time for. He couldn’t have cared less and was a complete jerk. I was told I would have to sit and wait for 30 minutes. Been getting my hair cut here for 4 years. Never coming back.

Experiencia negativa: Since originally going here I've realized it is very inconsistent, from customer service to the cuts. I won't be going back. Seems nobody knows how to do a mullet regardless of what their bio says. Nor does it seem they care if your happy with the cut or not.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been coming here for years and I really love coming to this Floyds! - I know I’m going to get a good looking haircut, - I know if I set an appointment in advance I will right in and right out at my appointment time . If I have an appointment with a preferred barber and they’re out, the front desk will call me and work out a schedule with me. - I know both barber/stylist and front desk will be very professional, polite and attentive. It’s close to Smashburger, Mod, ,Costa Vida, Game Stop great area!

Experiencia positiva: Five stars for Ashley—zero for management. I absolutely love my stylist, Ashley, and feel so lucky to have found her. She’s the reason I come to Floyd’s at Smoky Hill every week for a shampoo and style. Her talent, consistency, and kindness are unmatched. That said, the last few visits have been uncomfortable—literally. The salon has been extremely hot. I was told the thermostat isn’t allowed to go below 78 degrees, which seems unrealistic given all the blow dryers, lights, and summer heat. It’s not just uncomfortable for clients—it’s exhausting for the stylists who are on their feet all day. Today was particularly upsetting. While I was in the chair, the stylist next to Ashley started having a panic attack. Ashley (rightfully) went to check on her, but what shocked me was the response from the manager, Ronnie. When Ashley asked how her coworker was doing, Ronnie sighed loudly and rolled her eyes—completely dismissive. I suggested maybe bringing a cold towel or a fan, and Ronnie replied, “That’s what I’m doing,” before walking off. I never saw her again. Meanwhile, that stylist was left outside in the back, in full distress, and Ronnie apparently just went to sit in her office for the rest of the time I was there. Thankfully, Ashley’s next client happened to be a nurse and he went outside to check on her. Ronnie didn’t call for help, didn’t check on her again, didn’t ask for support from other staff—nothing. As a former stylist myself, I was horrified. When someone is having a potential medical emergency—especially in your own salon—your team’s well-being should be top priority. I’m so grateful it wasn’t something more serious, but the lack of care or urgency from management was unacceptable. Ashley continues to be the reason I come back, but if Floyd’s wants to maintain a safe and supportive environment for both staff and clients, they seriously need to re-evaluate who they trust in leadership roles.

Experiencia negativa: Had a 9am appointment, got there at 855. Walked in and they said "they were closed". Waited outside, till they were opened, and the person who gave me crap for being punctual was the one who cut my hair. Showed her what I wanted and she 'couldn't do it! Someone else walks by whishtles and takes over a simple fade! Skip it! Go ANYWHERE else!!!

Experiencia negativa: I came in for a child cut. I was asked to come back later. I received the appointment text and it was for an adult. My other errands finished early and I was 45 mins early for my appointment. I let the receptionist know if there was availability to be earlier we would appreciate it. While waiting for thirty minutes we saw hair stylist on their phone sitting in their chairs, the receptionist and her friend dancing and talking, and generally we felt extremely ignored. After watching all this happen and being there for about 30 minutes , finally one of the stylist asked if I was helped. She clearly saw I wasn’t even checked in. Just a horrible receptionist. Clearly thinks she knows best and has no idea what customer service is.

I have a mohawk and know how weird it can be to cut the length of hair, but she handled it like the professional she is! Experiencia fantástica: I’ve tried just about every men’s barbershop in town, and Floyd’s 99 is hands down the best. The vibe is awesome—great music, a laid-back but professional atmosphere, and a team that knows what they’re doing. The barbers take their time to get the cut right, and you never feel rushed. The service is top-notch, and the prices are right in line with other shops, but the experience here is just better. If you want a great haircut in a place that actually cares about the details, Floyd’s 99 is the way to go.

Experiencia negativa: I went here thinking I would get a top notch cut but left disappointed. The cost was high but if they did a smashing job I would have been happy. She left a huge chunk of neck hair which I ended up having to clean up myself and the scissor cut was very average. I have received better cuts from great clips and I don't plan on ever going back to Floyds. Just a huge let down

Experiencia fantástica: I’m not the biggest fan of writing reviews because I’m lazy but I’ve been here a couple of times and usually leave with a decent haircut. Today I stopped in without an appointment and had Kendra as my barber/stylist. I explained to her what I wanted, she said no problem, she cut my hair and the result is 10x better than any other time I’ve walked out of there. I’m not saying the others times were horrible but I rarely walk out from getting my haircut and and think “damn I look good” Long story short. I called after I left to get her name so I can make sure I schedule all my appointments with her from now on.

Experiencia fantástica: i’ve been going to Floyd’s for a few seasons now and Kendra has become my go-to. every single time she achieves exactly what i’m looking for. i really appreciate how she takes the time to listen to my requests (i have medium length and change the style often) and consistently delivers the perfect haircut just as i envision it. not to be overly dramatic, but i’ve never had a regular barber (i’m 28 and moved around a lot) and Kendra is the first barber i’ve stuck with for this long. highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Well, sincerely, I have received the best service that I didn't expect at all. I called at 8:45am (store opens at 9am), regardless of being 15 minutes early, my call was answered. The young miss who answered my call (whose name I can't remember to save my life, not very tall with short hair) suggested that i book a same-day appointment with Won Y. I came in about 20 minutes before my appointment and was seated pretty much right after the check in. I told Mrs. Won that I have an upcoming trip the next day, and I sincerely would like to look my best. She heard me out and began to work. At first I was just sitting in the chair and thinking, you know, the usual, "how is this one going to mess me up? I've never met her. Does she know what she's doing?". As Mrs. Won was trying to make me look better than I came in, I've noticed how focused she was. She would triple check each section to make sure the perfect evenness. By the time she was done with my hair, I was ready to get up, she sat me back down and said that she wasn't done. Trimmed my eyebrows, wrapped my entire face in a hot tower, left me "marinate" for a little bit, and then started unfolding the towel 1 little section at a time and putting in the finishing touches with a blade. Felt like she unwrapped my head like a candy. Before she allowed me to step off the chair, she pulled out this really cool looking neck massage thingy and worked my neck. It was honestly such a great experience, that she made me second guess and question almost all the previous barbers/stylists that I've met. My day began with me waking up and making a very procrastinated and lazy last day appointment to cut my hair, what I got in return was an entire make over. I do believe that today was the day I got my very best haircut.

Experiencia positiva: First time I’ve been really disappointed after coming here. While the stylist did a decent job on my son’s haircut, when we scheduled our appointment I was planning to pay $33 for the cut. When we went to pay though we were charged $47 as I was told there was an up charge due to the thickness of his hair. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. I’m not sure I can justify returning when we don’t know what we are going to pay up front.

I highly recommend anyone coming here to get a seat with her, as she asked a bunch of questions and was very detail oriented to give me the best haircut possible. Although she is relatively new, her professionalism, light spirit, and willingness to learn and ask questions from her colleagues made me very comfortable and I was perfectly okay with letting her "practice" with my hair. Experiencia negativa: Took my son in for a haircut. We showed the stylist a picture of what we wanted and he said he could do it. (At this point if you were unsure that you're able to do this haircut you should tell your customers that that is above your skill level) That way they won't be disappointed, anyways, I asked the stylis if I could sit in the chair next to my son while he got his haircut and he said that was fine. So I sit down and I noticed the stylist turns the chair sideways ( with his back to me) with my son's back to the mirror and blocked me and my child from talking to each other. He didn't say a word the entire haircut. Usually the stylist stands behind the customer and they both look in the mirror why they cut hair. I found this odd and very rude. He didn't say a word or make eye contact with me or my son at all the whole time. At the end when he was finished he asked if it was okay and I said no because you hadn't cut the top, could you please cut and texture the top? He continued to finish cutting, I asked for texture he did a straight cut.The haircut was awful and unfinished. It looked like my son had a bowl put on his head. My son bald his eyes out when he got in the car and I had to go pay another $40 to get his haircut somewhere else. I will not be coming here again. I even tip the guy 25 bucks, I wanted to show some grace, because he did put the time in and I wanted to pay him for his time, I kind of felt sorry for the guy with him being in a profession like this and struggling so bad. I'm not sure what's going on in that young man's life but it came out to me and my son that he literally hated his job and did not like people. One of the worst haircut experiences I ever. I will say the lady at the front desk is helpful and she was nice. Maybe my stylist was just shy and embarrassed I'm not really sure what to say at this point.

Experiencia fantástica: I am SO pleased and THANKFUL for Tamara who color corrected my hair ( IT WAS BAD) and was so honest and so SO knowledgeable! She LITERALLY saved my Hair!!!! I HIGHLY recommend Tamara to ANYONE looking for cuts or color. She made me so happy I almost cried happy tears. I give her 5 out of 5 stars! Experiencia negativa: Scheduled an appointment with Alex. They called and asked me to come in at a later time and I agreed. I came in and then waited 15 minutes. The receptionist was asleep on the chair. When Alex finally arrived he took a different client. I asked the receptionist if I was going to get a haircut. Ooops they forgot about me. They are very unorganized. They didn't seem to care either. Very frustrating lack of customer service, so I walked out.

Experiencia negativa: When Tamara worked here, I loved the place. However, if management can’t even do me the courtesy of telling me ahead of my appointment that my stylist left, they don’t deserve my continued patronage. If you’d like somewhere that appreciates you as a client, I recommend the Stonegate Crossing location instead (where I tracked down Tamara…the management there was even willing to check into the grey blending product I’m fond of so that I could continue my every three week appointments uninterrupted!).

Experiencia fantástica: My boys won't go anywhere else but Floyd's Barbershop. They are meticulous about their hair and the personnel at Floyd's are great. They listen, engage, understand, and offer other perspectives on the hairstyle for a better look, but never force or criticize. Sarah D. Is our "go-to" Barber/Beautician! Her smile and great attitude is contagious. I have a pubescent teenage boy who barely speak but Sarah D. Takes the extra step to get him comfortable and express his intent on how he wants his hair styled and cut. You get what you pay for, so with that being said, you pay a bit extra than the traditional Supercuts but the environment and personable experience is worth the extra money. They won't let you leave unhappy and you can come back if something just isn't right after you leave, they hear your concerns and fix it on the spot. For those Vets or Active military, they offer a discount which adds more incentive to get a great cut from Floyd's Barbershop.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m here every three to four weeks and I absolutely love the service I get consistently. I always book Nikki because she gave me the best haircut in years and I just keep going back. All the barbers are really great, though. I bring my two boys in and I’ve never been disappointed. They’re really great with my 2 yr old, too which is such a relief. It seems like they’re always playing great music and I just love getting the shampoo and the quick back massage. Like a quick trip to the spa. Keep up the great work y’all! Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been coming here for years lately I don’t know what’s been going. I get the same haircut medium fade and just the tips. I can’t see what they are doing because I need my glasses. But they give me a high and tight completely wrong on what I want and it looks horrible and I keep paying with 38$ with tip and then stylist say the same thing it will grow back and it will look good , I’m tired of that answer and tired of paying for horrible haircuts.

Experiencia negativa: My boyfriend just booked an appointment here today and the experience he had was not what was expected. He booked an appointment online with a specific stylist for a certain look and after he book his appointment he got no confirmation about his appointment and had to call them to confirm he was still on the books. When he arrived a different stylist then who he originally scheduled with took him for the cut and didn't listen to anything he said he wanted nor follow the reference picture he gave her for the cut. She went shorter then what he was asking for and didn't style it the way he wanted it to be styled. He left there feeling bad and awful about himself. I am personally disappointed in the service and actions taken at Floyds especially because they usually provide good service and really nice haircuts. Overall, the lack of communication and quality on service was really disappointing and I don't think we will be returning any time soon.

Experiencia negativa: After today’s issue I will make sure to never go to a Floyd’s 99 Barbershop ever again! You would think that a place that advertises walk in appointments would save time for people to actually walk in….I am telling you that is anything but the case. So make sure you make an appointment because most of the time you won’t be able to walk in. Today I actually had an appointment and went to check in like normal and the receptionist had said the stylist was behind and I was looking about 20 minutes to wait….I didn’t mind having to wait but when that 20 minutes was up they called me to cancel my appointment because the stylist was way behind and still had other appointments. Since I was there already, you think they would cancel any of the other appointments to accommodate the clients who already arrived, but no…the to receptionist tried to be apologetic about the inconvenience but offered no real solution besides rescheduling the appointment. I have a very busy schedule and had to make time for this appointment. From my perspective, there is a lack of communication amongst the staff, management can’t properly manage the business and if you want to waste your time, this is the place to go.

Experiencia negativa: LOU gave me a decent fade but a terrible cut! I asked for for my hair to be even with my eyebrows. My hair right now ends in the middle of my forehead. She didn’t even use scissors, she used a shaving blade to cut my hair. I definitely do not recommend.

Experiencia positiva: I booked an appointment and also requested a hair shampoo. The barber I was given had a sign posted on her mirror that said “can’t give hair shampoos due to allergies” I wasn’t even asked about the shampoo I requested. I just let it go. The lady that cut my hair wasn’t very experienced and didn’t say two words during my haircut. Won’t be back to Floyd’s 99.
