My hair is now in a state that will not cooperate at a when combing, 100% because “just a trim please” was not understood and she cut my hair way short, and way high. It will take a couple months to get it manageable again. Based on the other reviews, looks like this is a pattern. Someone should probably inspect their licensing. They have a habit on reviews of claiming because they can’t find the name or email that the customer must “be confused with a different shop”. Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. We know exactly what shop this is.
Experiencia negativa: Won’t be back. Was on business trip staying at a hotel nearby and thought I’d go ahead and get a haircut. I was a walk-in and believe the gentleman’s name was David who cut my hair. Very nice man but has no business cutting hair. I have simple hair style that requires nothing but a #3 and #2 clipper. Put it this way…..my wife laughed when I got back to Atlanta later the next day and said “babe… you gonna need to go get that fixed.” I think I’ve said enough.
Experiencia negativa: Do NOT recommend. I came in with medium length hair. I showed a photograph for reference and said “only a trim please”. She said “to the skin?”I said “no, not to the skin”. Within minutes I had a legitimate high and tight, to the skin, and short hair. Absolutely furious. The guy sitting next to me told his barber the guard number, and wanted a fade. The barber ignored him and started shaving. He was also not happy that his simple directions were ignored. When the most basic of style communication can’t be met, or understood…unsure which is the issue…for two different customers in the span of minutes, there is a problem.

They always do a great job maintaining the place. Parking is easy out front, just pay with the ParkMobile app. Life happens, so don't forget to send an email if you need to cancel. Most of all, tip generously!The prices here are much better than other barbers, and the quality of the cut is much better!
Experiencia negativa: Overall, low quality, poor hygiene, and bad value. I do not recommend this shop to anyone and will not be going back. One star. This was one of the worst barber experiences I have had. More concerning, the clippers appeared dirty and unsanitary. Shortly after this visit, I developed seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp, which I did not have before. That alone is enough to ensure I will never return. The haircut took far too long, and the results were poor. The fade was uneven, the beard trim was sloppy and rushed, and the overall quality was unacceptable. For what they charge, this was nowhere near professional. The shop is cash only, which would be fine if the service justified the price. It does not. It is significantly overpriced for subpar work.

Experiencia negativa: Walk ins not accepted, ignore the signs that say they are. I walked in asked if they accepted credit cards they did not told me to walk a block to ATM. I came back then asked if I had appointment I referred to the sign saying walk ins are welcome, he said sorry not today. Then I said I wish you told me when I first walked in.
Experiencia positiva: Tony is my barber here and he knows his stuff. As he himself says, Tony makes you handsome. Make sure it is Tony who cuts your hair. I went to someone else coz Tony was busy and she scratched and cut the back of my head multiple times. It was hurting all day. Also the top of my head wasn't cut with equal lengths.

Experiencia negativa: I am so done giving this place a chance. I have gotten over 10 haircuts here and for some reason, each haircut gets worse and worse. I show each barber here the same picture of me( the first good haircut I get here and liked). I describe exactly what I want and for some reason they completely butcher it. I don't know if its the lack of communication or the lack of skill but I am done with it. Here is the last disaster they gave me when I asked for a high fade, hard part, and to trim enough off the top for a faux top. Thank god my hair grows back fast because I look like a god dam clown. They might have one or two good barbers but their staff as a whole do not know how to cut hair. Avoid this place. David was the last person to give me this disaster but he is not the only one that does an awful job there.

It’s clear he didn’t listen to a word I said because I had to stop him from pretty much shaving my head. Guess I’ll be wearing hats for the next few weeks. Needless to say, I will not be going back.
Experiencia negativa: Although the place has good reviews, I had a bad experience. The barber Jimmy had no sense of curtesy, he was cutting my hair, in lack of better words, as if I was an animal. Very aggressive with his handling, hit my face with a decently hot wet towel, pulled my hair to ask questions, not to speak of a low quality, and uneven mid fade, he was very close to get in altercation. Will not go back again.

Experiencia negativa: The service here has gone downhill over the years. They’ve continually raised prices and the quality of cuts has diminished. To make matters worse, they say they take walk-ins and then tell you to come back 3 hrs later. After they’ve already ripped you off with their overpriced ATM (since they’re the only place around that only takes cash).

You have to go to a place a few times and see which barber works for you. Once you think you’ve found the one, then it’s time to embark a relationship. This is where your barber gets to know you and your hair over time. From the look of some of the negative comments, some of yall have never built that bond and it shows in your profile pic. To the men complaining about wait time…it’s a barber shop, learn the etiquette. To the men complaining about price…good luck to ya. To the men complaining about having a bad time, learn to communicate what you want and don’t always expect your first time to be a good time. ✌️ As for my review; this is reliable place, good price, patient barbers. Previous review: Have been going here for years and have always done walk ins with no issues and rarely a wait longer than 15 minutes. I've been twice in the last few months and and have waited over an hour both times. The whole reason I liked this place is the schedule flexibility, and do t say walk ins welcome if you arent going to service them! Guess I'll schedule my next one but it'll be somewhere else.
Experiencia negativa: I just walked out of this place, and it’s easily the worst haircut I’ve had in years. My barber, a man supposedly named Sue Ann? That’s who I made the reservation with online, anyway. I asked for a 0.5 fade, a skin fade in the back, and the top cut as short as possible while still allowing for a side part. What I got wasn’t even close. The top is still way too long, there’s barely any fade on the sides, and the back has no skin fade at all. When I politely pointed this out and asked the barber to fix it, he clearly got offended and just started hacking at my hair for five minutes straight. Now, I’m left with an absolute disaster. The sides, where the fade was supposed to be, are somehow longer than the uneven mess he left on top. I have a wedding to attend this weekend, and I’m furious that I have to waste time & money finding another barber to clean this up!

My haircuts were horrible and I ended up getting my hair cut way too short! The fade was completely messed up. I will never go back to this place and do not recommend this place to anyone else. Experiencia negativa: I’ve only cut my hair 3 time at this barber shop and usually get my hair cut by Lucy, who is always professional and friendly. However, during my last visit on feb, Lucy wasn’t available, so I had to go with another barber. Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. The barber I had was extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable with his behavior, which I perceived as racist. This was a huge disappointment, as I’ve always had great experiences here in the past. I’m sharing this in hopes that the shop will address this issue so that no other customer has to go through a similar experience.

Experiencia negativa: Disaster. After years of growing out a full beard I went in for a trim. They basically gave me a fade and cut my almost my whole beard off. I am absolutely devastated and honestly sad. My beard was my trade mark and I spent years grooming and growing it. Now I have to start over. I was clear on what I wanted but feel that there might have been a language barrier. Could not be more unsatisfied. They even left the bottom long giving me some odd long goatee. Now I have to find a barber to correct the mistake and pay more, to have it cut shorter so it will be proportional. Would not recommend.
Experiencia fantástica: My son has been getting his haircut with SueAnn for over a year now, since he got his first haircut with her when he was 9 months old. He’s always had a full head of hair that grows fast so we go often. She is so patient with him and always does so well! We’ve seen a couple others when SueAnn isn’t available, and they were okay but not as patient and understanding of cutting hair on a baby/toddler. Highly recommend SueAnn for your little one :) I’ve seen other comments complaining about walk in wait times, but just make an appointment online. It’s easy and I can almost always make a weekend appt a couple days out.

My wife made an appointment for me with Kim to get a haircut and beard trim. The experience was incredible. She did an amazing job. I appreciated the care she took and her attention to detail. Needless to say I have found my permanent barber. If there is any question in your mind where you should get your haircut, go here. Ask for Kim. You won’t regret it. Make an appointment. If you don’t have the foresight to do that, don’t be upset if you have to wait as a walk-in.

Experiencia negativa: It took me days to get this service and on the top of that , right after the service , I was able to see still white ones which means that she spent more time on the surface as opposed to the root. Additionally she asked me to pay over 60 just for dyeing my beard and she was talking about something like cream that I didn't ask for . I still paid 80 with the tip though. I don't recommend this spot specially, if you are thinking of dyeing. Poor poor service .

Experiencia negativa: TlL;DR loyal customer of 4 years for expensive, mediocre haircuts here. Made an appointment, got stuck in extremely terrible weather, subsequently late 8 minutes, told to wait in an extremely long queue So I have been a loyal customer to this shop for almost 4 years now and I never thought I would write a review like this, but here we are. First off I came to this shop because the prices were fair and it was at an easy location. Haircuts were alright, nothing at all to brag about. I continued going for all the reasons stated above. However, it's been hard to justify expensive, mediocre haircuts, but I was a pretty loyal customer. I get inflation has raised prices for all, but an almost 30% increase? On top of that, it's a cash only place with an ATM that tears you apart on fees. You know what kind of places accept only cash? Today was the straw the boke the camels back. I had made an appointment for today at 5 and while on my way walking to the shop, a severe thunderstorm with 60mph wind gusts led me to seek shelter until the Strom subsided. The storm didn't stop, but wanted to be respectful of the barbers time, I dredged on in the heavy rains and wind. I arrive 8 minutes late completely soaked and miserable. I was told I missed my appointment (duh) and I needed to wait in the long walk in line. To add insult to injury, I have definitely seen appointments show up extremely late 15+ minutes as well suffered because of other people's late appointments. Needless to say, customer loyalty is not their strongest suite. I will not be continue to be a patron of pricey, sub par haircuts at this location any longer

I loved the cut and I barely waited 20 mins even though I was a walk-in on Friday. I loved the attention to detail from Tony and can’t recommend him enough. He took his time and was courteous. Experiencia negativa: I am new to the area, so I was looking for barbershops nearby. They mentioned that they accept walk-ins and there were quite a good number of reviews of them over here. So, I visited them hoping for a good haircut. I went in at 2:40PM. The place wasn't too crowded, but it was fine. There were a respectable number of stylists, so I thought I could have a haircut within the hour. But that couldn't have been further from the reality. Some of their stylists were just relaxing and waiting for customers who had taken an appointment, which is fair. But on many instances, they would sit around for 30 minutes, time which could have been utilized for attending to a walk-in customer. At 3:36PM, I got frustrated at this behavior and when I stood up, I was told to wait for 30 minutes because another customer with an appointment showed up. So, I just walked out. I'll never visit them again. As great as they may all be, making a walk-in wait for over an hour isn't efficient or nice. Oh, and I also want to mention they don't accept card, google pay or apple pay, it's all cash. It's not a major thing, but just something you might want to keep in mind.

They also do a great job with the warm towels, eyebrow shave and razor blade cleanup in back. All the staff are nice so definitely recommended.

Professional, funn, and knows how to give a great shave. This was my first time to get a facial so I have nothing to compare it to but it was great and relaxing. I would do it again. Experiencia negativa: They say the accept walkins BUT DO NOT GO THERE WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. I sat there for 45 minutes while every next available barber took a scheduled appointment instead. Which is fine and totally acceptable but DONT TELL CUSTOMERS YOU ACCEPT WALKINS AND THEN MAKE THEM WAIT. Also they do not accept cash and that was not clear enough in their business. I realized after waiting to get my hair cut for 45 minutes they only accept cash and their jank atm wouldn’t let me use my credit card for a cash advance. I just walked out. I doubt anyone noticed anyway. I will literally never go here again

Experiencia negativa: Loyal customer until today. Signed in at 10:14 and waited until 10:54 then lost my patience. It was not the longest I have waited here but after so many occurrences it does get frustrating. The haircuts have always been mediocre depending on who you get, but until recently it seemed like a convenient option. I really don't understand the business' benefit of taking appointments that show up late or not at all, only to lose other customers. I have dealt with this a few times but Im done. There are many other shops in the area that wont make you wait 45min+ without having an appointment. In my opinion a shop this busy should be first come first serve. Also almost every time I went the price increased but they still only accept cash. Needless to say I did not get the haircut.

I've made an appointments and walked in and waited over two hours in both instances while other people went before me. This last time I brought my son and watched 3 employees just sit the back for 45 minutes. One came out and sat in her chair filing her nails for at least 20 minutes. She certainly could have taken on of us in that time Then took a customer, when she was done she went and sat in the back. My wife tried to flag down one of the workers to ask if they were taking walk ins and she was just ignored. My son and I walked out, so they lost two customers today and we're never coming back.

Experiencia fantástica: MIMI did an amazing job on my hair and trimming my beard. She is the first person to get my hair the way I actually like and it looks really good. I will definitely be coming back to get a haircut with her again.
Experiencia negativa: I had a spectacular haircut done by Tony a couple months ago. I was a walk in. Again being a walk in, I had the impression that I would have the same experience once before. However, instead of a good experience I had a bad and miserable experience. I being a flight attendant it's difficult to make hair appointments due to the unpredictableness of flight travel. So I had no choice but to be a walk in. When I first came in, I signed in and then found a seat to begin the waiting process. All the stylists acknowledged my presence but didn't tend to me at all. 45min to hour passes and a stylist at the front then finds me only to inform me to wait another 30 mins. I left. There was no one waiting for an appointment, I was the only walk in. There's no excuse to dismiss a paying customer, I was patient and gave the benefit of the doubt when no one came to help me initially. Who does that? Make someone wait for an hour and another 30mins. Awful customer service. Terrible staff. Horrible company.

Experiencia fantástica: Honestly the best place to get around here. Recently PCS'd a year ago and had trouble finding a spot that provides a great cut while not being over the top. The shop is straight forward and literally provides cut and shave. The employees are hard working and for the quality of cut it's totally worth it with prices soaring all over the DMV. Had a high fade with scissors on top which is my usual and they are literal artists with no frills price. If someone has moved into northern Virginia I would look no further than these guys. Just remember to book an appointment as slots fill up quick and not really walk in availability.
Experiencia negativa: 45 minutes waiting with my son, and not even an acknowledgment until I got up to leave, then was told I was "next" if I could wait another 15 minutes. The same person told customers on the phone they would only wait about 30 minutes as a walk-in. I've been loyally supporting this business for three years, and the perception of being a valued customer has slowly declined. Even while having an appointment, I would often wait 10-20 minutes, but employees used to approach you, apologize for the delay, and made an effort to at least give the perception of being appreciative of customers' business. Today, with only one person ahead of my son and I, I watched employees walk over to the list, look at us, hear them say our names, then walk away. I'd rather be told the wait would be about an hour instead of being ignored for 45 minutes. It was disappointing. We will not be returning.
Experiencia fantástica: I went to the Old Town North location, and can't say enough about Van. He's attentive, goes above and beyond a "standard cut," and really enjoyed the conversation with him. It was nice to be pampered with a quick head message and beard trimming (which is separate services according to their website). I would highly recommend scheduling with, but if appeared the other barbers were great too.

Experiencia negativa: I have been going here since moving to the area in 2022. I will not return after my most recent visit. I scheduled an appointment online. I was 5 minutes late so I expected to have to wait a little before being seen. After waiting 45 minutes I finally got someone on staff at the front desk to ask what the wait was. 5 minutes later I was in a chair and told I would be helped shortly. After waiting another 10 minutes I walked out. It is completely unacceptable to have taken multiple walk-ins when I had an appointment and waited an hour.
Experiencia negativa: The first time I got a cut here, it was a great experience. Got called very quickly and liked the cut. My most recent experience went much differently. I came in and signed my name on the sheet, but was never called. I waited for about an hour, thinking that maybe people had set appointments ahead of time, and that they'd get to me eventually. But after seeing the 4th and 5th people walk in and get service before me, I was done waiting and left. It may help to have a receptionist to ensure everyone gets taken care of.
Experiencia fantástica: Really friendly staff and lots of barbers to pick and choose from. Now being able to make reservations, I just show up 5 minutes before my appointment.
Experiencia negativa: Went once without an appointment. Waited a while but got a decent cut. Went a second time with an appointment and I still had to wait until past the end of my appointment time before someone even acknowledged that they were behind and tried to figure it out. This place is a train wreck of unorganized mess.
Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to the shop on Eisenhower for 7 years now. I've NEVER had a bad experience. I have my favorite stylists, which I will not name here, but I can say that I've had my hair cut by everyone who works there and can vouch for them all.

Experiencia negativa: Top worse haircuts i have ever gotten. The lady rushed the cut. Had to correct her before i left in worse condition but there was only so much that could be fixed. Unless you know who is cutting your hair and youve had good experiences, going in random is like playing Russia Roulette.
Experiencia negativa: Asked the barber to just take a little off, I have longer hair on the top and sides. He starts by taking the majority of my hair off the sides. Then gives me, somehow, a off putting mullet that I never asked for. Hella long in the back, fade on the sides. For some reason. Stay away from this place if you care ab your hair.
Experiencia positiva: Scheduling is great, ATM inside for cash only business, they move quickly and are well priced. Sometimes they don't cut exactly how you want but every cut is clean. Great job with kids as well

Experiencia positiva: This is my go-to barber shop! Highly recommend, especially if you live in the area. Decent pricing for a quality haircut and post-haircut shave with a straight blade razor. Only downside is that you must pay with cash, which is a minor inconvenience if you don’t carry much cash on you. Otherwise, everything else about this place is great
Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been living in the area for a little over a year now. Cut and Shave was the first barber shop I went to and I haven’t been anywhere else since. Jasmine is my go to barber to the point where I’ll refuse to get a haircut on vacation and wait until I get home. The prices are great and the quality is outstanding! The staff is always so friendly and I look forward to going every month!

Experiencia negativa: Hair cutt was horrible, rushed and didn’t even give me what i asked for. worst haircut ever received. i told him 3 times how i wanted my hair cutt and he still gave me a bad haircut do not recommend coming here at all. In conclusion this place is utterly horrible and a absolute waste of money. i’ve been to more worse located areas then this and at least they gave me a better haircut than a more openly located barber like this.
Experiencia negativa: The haircuts are o-kay at this location but my main gripe is the pricing system. Who doesn't accept digital payments in 2022? You could use square for crying out loud. It's really annoying to have to withdraw money from the ATM for a cut, knowing that if you charge $20 I'm going to have to withdraw $40 from the ATM so I can tip. Please catch up to the times and use digital payment, it would increase your business and not feel so scummy.

Experiencia negativa: I am costumer in this location for over 4 years now. I recently call at 10 am to find out if I can walk in and get a haircut as soon as possible and was informed YES you definitely can. I have to wait an hour and half to get service. Day before I walked in and ask for a specific person and then I was mislead with his schedule. Costumer service and information get really low. Is not that hard to figure it out flow when you have 7 people waiting for haircut plus, schedule appointments. Usually I am satisfied with Leo's service, but this time, he took time off, and I didn't have a good experience at all this time.
Experiencia positiva: Compared to the other store, this one has the charme of a dental hygienist. With all this sectioned off areas. The personal touch and warmth is missing. The receptionist doesn't seem to give you his full attention. My haircut with one of the guys was ok, he didn't check the cut as thoroughly as I get when going to Le from the other store.
