Experiencia fantástica: I had an appointment with Tyara and I have to say from start to finish I was very pleased and impressed with her, not only did she do an amazing job she literally hit the nail on the head on what I was wanting done to my hair. Experiencia negativa: Took my son who’s been growing his hair out for 3 years to get a small trim and bring the front up a bit told Mandy several times we wanted to keep the length she asked my son a few times as well how long he wanted the front and he ended up with a bowl cut. She tried to say we can just straighten it but the damage is done his hair is way more than 3 inches cut (he had hair at his shoulders when we arrived)when we only wanted a small trim. The girl at the front was also off when I asked if they cut that they switched to a transformative cut and shampoo since they didn’t do the shampoo not due to us asking it off but if there was a diff in price if he didn’t get it considering they butchered his hair and she said no difference. We are truly disappointed by this experience.

While this situation is difficult given the length was cut shorter than desired, we still want to ensure you feel heard and valued.

Experiencia fantástica: SUMMER IS THE BEST!!!! So my first visit to mynt made me a life long customer. My friend was on the schedule and i was not. Summer decided to squeeze me in when she didn't have too. She ALWAYS does a fantastic job cutting my hair, and that's a hard thing to do because I am very picky. Experiencia negativa: I mean they do a good job but I didn’t expect to spend $80 for a cut and Beard trim That is the most I’ve ever spent in 25 years at any barber. I think it is overpriced honestly but to each his own.

Nice lady but I don’t know if cutting African American hair is for her. First and definitely my last visit to Mynt. Nice building and staff though.

Experiencia negativa: My husband and 2 sons went to this shop for the first time today. They were expecting a pleasant outing and some father/son bonding. What they received were unkind barbers and the inability to receive the full services that they had reserved in their booking, because the barber said he didn’t have time. I sent my husband and son to this barber because our normal one did not have any available appts. I will not send them back. Super disappointed. My youngest son came home feeling like he is a horrible kid after the treatment he encountered. If you have a scheduled youth cut, I would expect far more kindness and a little more patience with a wiggly kiddo.

Experiencia negativa: Came in hopping to get my son’s hair cut as the sign says walk ins welcomed. I walked in and noticed people were busy inside, no problem I wait. Later a gentlemen came in and he was immediately greeted and addressed. After that I was then addressed and told someone would come in to take care of me and not once was I asked what service was needed. I understand having clients with appointments but let’s at least give walk in clients a chance. Just a thought for any future clients.

Experiencia negativa: This was my second time coming to this barber and I was so disappointed. The first visit was meh but acceptable and I thought I’d give this place another try but I deeply regret coming back. The stylist, Summer, was late to the appointment and completely disregarded the style I requested as well as making strange “creative” alterations. The cut I requested was simple and one I’ve had many times. I even showed her a picture of the cut I wanted with a model with similar hair texture I had but she glanced at it for 2 seconds and went a completely different direction. I was faced away from the mirror the whole time so I could not see what she was doing and stop her. Afterwards she styled it with product in a completely different way than the requested cut and when I showed her the image of how I wanted it she acted like it was the first time I showed it to her. Now I have a wedding to go to in less than a week and I’m so ashamed of my hair I can’t leave the house without a cap on. Time to find a new barber shop.

Experiencia negativa: I ordered a specialty cut and hot towel shave, I’m military (this fact will make sense later) so for my cut I wanted a high and tight to the skin and a hot towel shave. I will take this in 2 parts. Now what I expect from paying this price tag is a straight blade on the neck at minimum for the cut. Didn’t receive that. I received a basic haircut that on base haircutters could’ve done for half the price. The cut looks fine but definitely not to standard of a barbershop with such a price tag. Now I also ordered a shave. The shave was definitely sub par. My cheeks are smooth sure, (easiest part) every thing else is gritty. Something that’s very confusing is she put the shaving cream on before she put the hot towel on? Then wiped off all the cream and proceeded to shave, I’m not sure I’ve ever had anyone do that. Now I have a pretty good cut on my chin right before my re-enlistment. I paid $80 in total to kind of pamper myself and I will say that I should’ve just paid the on base hair cutters the $20 they charge and shaved myself -1 star for the cut on my face -1 star for the price /not shaving the neck -1 star for the shave not being good -1 star for my confidence in this place after the experience

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed with my experience with this place. Walked in to a very nice staff member that scheduled me in for a later time (wish I could have got her for my appointment). When I got back, the Barber I had was very rude and did a terrible job. She was very unwelcoming… Moved to Ft. worth recently looking for a barbershop home and I found it—Blurrberry barbershop down the street. As soon as I got finished with my haircut that was rushed and poorly done, and for 42.50(skincut). I left feeling like I wasted my time and money. Mynt is very nice and has all the bells and whistles of a luxury barbershop. I was excited to finally get a haircut, was excited at the portfolio and great reviews I saw about Mynt, unfortunately it did not live up to the standards and reviews about itself. I cannot speak for every barber but the one who gave me my haircut in the corner ruined my experience with this place. Got in my truck and googled a barbershop and scheduled an appointment down the street at Blurrberry, they got me in quick. Was greeted by great customer service, my barber was amazing, took his time and was very welcoming for a great price of $40 for haircut/beard. He fixed what was supposed to be a MidFade with a lineup. Was a completely different haircut by light years. I wish Mynt could have been the place but one person ruined that by being rude and giving a terrible haircut. When I get a haircut, I ask for guidance as I am not educated in this profession. When she asked me what I wanted and I asked for guidance, her replies were very rude and not helpful. Was ready to get me out of her chair it seemed. Did not want to ask for anything else or any request. By far the worst experience I have ever had. Upset I had to drive down the street immediately and spend money on another haircut…well worth it because I found a barbershop home at Blurrberry. I hope your experience is better than mine. Maybe it was the barber I got that ruined my experience. I never have written a review about anything, don’t ever care enough. This one did it, unfortunately I will not be back…

Experiencia negativa: We are getting married in 2 days! We asked to keep it long on the top. The barber didn't let him know that what he asked for was going to be short. He took the clippers straight to the middle of his head so there was no saving it or double checking the length. We were there for over an hour. 60$ for something no one asked for is WILD. Will never return.
We understand that a haircut mishap, especially so close to a wedding, can be frustrating. After reviewing the camera footage for this haircut and discussing it with the barber, we can say with certainty that your review contains false allegations. The barber checked with your fiancé three times to confirm that he wanted a #6 guard on top and a #3 on the sides. Your fiancé confidently confirmed these lengths each time.
Upon reviewing the camera footage, we can see that the barber, with 35 years of experience, started with a higher guard and turned your fiancé around to check in the mirror before moving forward with the shorter requested guard. While we understand that miscommunication can sometimes occur, we believe that the barber took the necessary steps to give the haircut the client requested. It wasn't until after the haircut was over that the client admitted to the barber he meant to say he wanted an #8 guard on top. Of note, the difference between a #8 and a #6 guard is only 1/4 of an inch of hair.
In reference to the price of the haircut: The service provided was a transformation cut and added beard trim, which typically costs $76.50. However, due to your dissatisfaction with the outcome, the barber offered over a 20% discount, bringing the total cost to $60.00.

Experiencia negativa: Went in to get a haircut right now, as a walk in, as i just moved to this side of Fort Worth and so I was looking for a new barbershop. Was told there was no one available until 3:30. So I left as I needed a cut right now, as I’m walking out I hear the barber with brown hair tell the other barber that walked out from the back, “it’s just a walk in I don’t care”. Says walk ins welcome but apparently not, so i will never return to this shop.

At our barbershop, we have a receptionist who assists customers so our barbers can focus on their clients. However, when the receptionist was occupied in the back, the barber who initially greeted you paused her work with a client to assist, letting you know that the next available appointment would be in an hour, as all barbers were booked until then.
As you were leaving, the receptionist came forward and apologized to the barber for the interruption, and the barber responded, "It's okay, I don't care, but mark a missed walk-in." This was in reference to a tracking sheet we use to note when we’re unable to accommodate walk-ins, which helps us assess when we need additional staff to meet customer demand.
Both staff members involved have over six years of industry experience each, and they understand the value we place on our customers. Your regular patronage is what keeps us going, and we truly appreciate that.

He had extreme attention to detail and took his time to ensure a quality result. You could tell he wasn’t rushing to just get us in and out and he cared about the service he was providing us. After cuts were done he inputted into their system our preference for getting trimmed up for future reference. Interior is relaxing, clean and well designed. Barber chairs were high quality. Drinks ( water , soda, juice, beer for legal age ) was offered upon checking in. Very satisfied we chose Mynt.

I went to just get everything trimmed up before engagement pictures today and the guy that did everything messed up took a big chuck out of my beard. Experiencia positiva: Edit: I just got contacted by someone from the barbershop and the were very understanding and helpful. They helped fox the issues and ensured my experience was positive. I appreciate the effort put into the customer service. Great atmosphere. Very chique. Average customer service. Do not find yourself being the last client in the barbers chair they will focus on their time off more than your hair. For the hearty price tag it was not worth the result. I asked for a mid fade, got a high fade. I asked for a 7 on top, got a 5. Bits of longer hairs all over were left behind and when I came back from my car, the barber had left and I wasn't going to be able to get the touch up for another hour. I can't fault them to hard as I did pay and walk out the door. I am still very disappointed after the amount I paid.

Experiencia negativa: Came in 12/16/23 at 10a for a comb over skin fade with a hard line. Got exactly what I asked for expect when I got home and put gel in my hair I noticed that I now have two hard lines…I’m no barber, but one would assume that if you’re going to etch a hardline in someone’s hair you should at least run a comb through it to find the natural line before going to town. This was not done and now I’m forced to wear a hat for the next two months until it grows out. Worst haircut I’ve ever had and a waste of $75.

Experiencia negativa: First off Bianca didn’t listen to what I told her to do. I showed her a picture of what I wanted then explained how I wanted it. She then proceeded to cut way to much off and give me a mullet basically. So I told her to just cut it all and make it even since she messed up already. After she finished that and messed it up some more I had to shamefully walk to the front with her to pay out. When I was about to pay she said ”Since I had to cut a little more off I’m gonna have to charge you for the transformation cut”. Which is 20 more dollars then what is was supposed to be when I hated the haircut but I didn’t know what to tell her so I just paid. You ruined my month Bianca I hope you think about it at night. I don’t even wanna go back to school. Smh.

Experiencia positiva: As upscale as I think they want to be, It just didn't pass the smell test. The barber I had was limited, he didnt know how to use a straight razor. Overall, if I can't get an appointment with my primary barber, I'll just wait until he has an opening no matter how long it takes. Look up the Julius McLaurin, the barber I had at the Westworth Village shop. He told me up front that he doesn't use a straight razor to shave his clients' heads. His reason was that he is not comfortable using it on himself, so why would he use it on someone else.
This has to be a review that has mistaken us for someone else for several reasons. First, all our Barbers are comfortable and experienced with Straight Razors and use them daily. Second, this name is not anywhere in our books and records as having ever visited our shop. There is no record of this person as a client at all.
Additionally, we offer a 3-day guarantee on all services. If you are not sully satisfied with your service, we will get you with another Barber to correct your service. If still not satisfied we will refund amount of the service.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm an actor in Hollywood, and my income is dependent upon my appearance. This was my first straight razor head shave, and I was terrified. To my surprise and complete joy, it was a completely painless and pleasant process. It felt more like a luxurious skin treatment than a simple "haircut" at a barber shop. I now see why there's a "Caution" sign out front that says, "Highly Addictive Service." Said was an absolute pro and pleasure. Will be coming back again very soon. Experiencia negativa: I have been going here for over a year and let me just say I have enjoyed my Haircuts ive gotten from my Barbers. But as long as iv been coming here I have noticed a ton of turn around. Ive been through at least 2 or 3 Barbers that are no longer working for Mynt. I dont not choose to go through the process of finding a new barber that is just ridiculous. At what point do we as clients stop loosing our Barbers. I understand them leaving on their own. But i think we should start looking at the Management and the way these Barbers are being treated to just say enough is enough and leave. We come to Mynt for our Barbers and the consistency of a great cut. We dont come here because its Mynt. Its sad that when i look at the Roster of people I dont really know any but two of them. My advice for people thinking of coming here RUN!!! You'll find a Barber then in a month or two they'll be gone and you're stuck trying to find another Barber. I choose to take my Business away from Mynt and will tell my Military Friends how much of a joke this establishment is. Which most have noticed on their own.
Thank you for your business for the last two years. Let me clarify some of the false statements made. First, your previous Barber was here for 2.5 years. To allege that Mynt has a high turnover when your previous Barber was here essentially since the day this shopped opened is comical on its face. Also, it’s just very strange to assume because a certain person no longer works here that you Have to find another Barber? Why would you have to do that? These professionals don’t stop doing hair because they aren’t at this shop. They can be found easily by contacting them or via social media or if we know where they go, we will happily provide that. Very strange comment -
Secondly, Mynt has some the lowest turnover in the industry and a waiting list of Barbers who want to work here. Just because you don’t recognize a new face in the shop means Nothing as it relates to that person’s expertise or skill. We might bring someone on that has 10 or more years’ experience. Just because some one is new to the shop does not mean they are new to this Trade. We vet everyone….(that’s how you got such good cuts mentioned above).
Lastly, we had one person move to Frisco and one person move to Austin. Are you suggesting for us to be a “Good Shop” and not have turnover that we should persuade people to not make major like decisions and stay in Fort Worth so you can recognize everyone’s face when you come in ? We can’t operate that way. No business anywhere does…Sadly, we also have some that despite warnings still make poor decisions that negatively impact, the shop, co- workers and most importantly the customers. In these situations, we have no choice but to part ways. We wish you all the best -
