Experiencia negativa: This is based on my Feb 3, 2026 haircut with Mike Baronwski: Mike is extremely rude and intimidating. He did not allow me to explain the haircut I wanted. He snapped at me multiple times. I’m never gonna get an haircut from him. I had an overall terrible experience. When I showed him a photo of an haircut I wanted and tried explaining he replied “don’t show me a photo of what you don’t want. Extremely rude behavior. My haircut at the end was unsatisfactory. I usually get an haircut every 15 days from Brandon and unfortunately he was out that day and I needed an haircut. Mike is more expensive too and I like an idiot even gave him a 25% tip. Hated it. When you’re in the service industry and providing a service especially to a regular customer who comes to your shop every 15 days for an haircut and tips so highly, this is not how you treat them. Mike does not deserve to be on Level 5 or whatever.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a nice cool relaxed go with the flow guy Shain is. I took my friend to get his bushweed hacked off… lol and Shain cut my friends hair perfectly after a short debate between my friend and I.. it was a lovely experience. I go regularly here since before it was Rudy’s and I keep coming back always awesome employees!!

Experiencia fantástica: Hey y'all, Brandon is the real deal. I am very androgonous, and will never go to a "salon," and Rudy's has been unique. I have never been to the Rudy's near the Amazon sphere, and not only was he cool, it was Xmas eve!!!! He stayed late, and I knew I needed to get into a cut that would take down this age, and he saw my photos, and intuively created a Wolf, shaggy wild cut, that gave me looks from young folks, like "cool cut" the next day. When kids half my age, say it is cool, trust me, Brandon is one that has great experience, and he is intuitive too. He worked in Australia, and was easy to vibe with, funny, plus he is kind, as he went out of his way to protect my length of my long locks. Others would just hack it off. He gave me a cool edgy look, and he also used a razor shearing method that gave it healthy shaggy lift, wolf wildness & everyone that sees me LOVES IT!!!!!! I am only going to this Rudy's which is huge, plays great music and just chill vibes there & they respect identity/individuality/diversity there 100%! They are true artists!!! Mahalo!!

Experiencia fantástica: The interior is really nice and cosy. Everybody who works there made it a lovely and heartwarming place :) Obviously I needed a new haircut but I wasn’t sure in which direction it should go. Thanks to Amys great advice I decided and went threw with it. I don’t want to sound cocky but I look amazing and am happy with the result! I can really recommend the place

Experiencia fantástica: Run (don't walk) to get a cut with Shain at this location. Shain was my stylist in NYC for 10 years. He is ultra-talented and excelled at bringing my vision to life. He is a natural with scissor and clipper cuts and has a great eye toward styles that will flatter you. While I was very sad when Shain left NYC for Seattle, I was overjoyed when we were reunified while I was in town for a work meeting last month. After getting a cut with Shain you will feel like a new person. You will also need to get used to random strangers complimenting you and asking you where you get your hair cut. Both of these are regular occurrences every time I get a cut with Shain.

Experiencia fantástica: Shain has cut my hair for 10+ years and hands down is the best stylist I have ever had! He has improved my self esteem and self confidence so much. When I first started seeing Shain I was dealing with thinning hair due to a medical issue (which has now thankfully resolved) but Shain was so understanding and always helped my hair look great and made me feel great about myself. Several years ago I decided to start highlighting my hair too and Shain does an amazing job. He gives me the most natural looking highlights that grow out well and mean it’s no big deal if it takes me a little longer to get back to see him. Shain is so kind and friendly and an excellent conversationalist. Having your hair done feels like catching up with an old friend. I always feel so at ease. I cannot recommend Shain highly enough! I was seeing Shain at Rudy’s in New York for many years, but thankfully have close family in Seattle, so now that he moved, I can still get my hair done when I visit!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I always get my hair and beard done by Shain, an exceptional hairstylist who is not only skilled but also a great conversationalist and professional. He consistently makes minor adjustments to my hairstyle, ensuring that my look is always perfect. I highly recommend Shain! When Shain was on leave, I also had a few cuts with Brandon. His service was excellent, and he was incredibly funny! He always makes sure to provide a warm towel and a relaxing beard trim. The staff is always friendly, the shop atmosphere is relatively quiet, and is very conveniently located.

Experiencia fantástica: Mike is awesome! Super friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, thorough, excellent chair-side manner, basically everything you could want in a barber. I walked in without an appointment and they were able to squeeze me into their otherwise busy schedule. Thanks for the great cut!

Experiencia fantástica: Eric is amazing! I’ve been getting my hair cut by him for three years, and he always does an awesome job. Sometimes he makes small changes to my existing style to make it look even better, and other times he tries new styles for a fresh look. We have such fun chats during my haircuts. He’s super kind and makes the whole experience enjoyable!

Experiencia negativa: In the past, I have had great experience with Eric at this shop but my recent experience was terrible. Brandon would probably be the rudest person I ever had haircut with. Trust me, just avoid him and go with anyone else.

Experiencia positiva: 1. Good conversations with hair stylist 2. Good hair cut 3. However, hot towels no longer served, unlike couple years ago. Since covid, they (Bishop’s at the time) stopped serving beverage as well. And now towels apparently. So a few cost cutting measures observed gradually.

Experiencia fantástica: Stylist listened to my hair and paid attention to its quirks and created a style that was fun, quirky, and modern. Enjoyed the vibe. The accessibility entrance is thru a bike shop next door and was easy to navigate once a staff person came out to infor me. I'd recommend better instructions for wheelchair users on the door in case staff are busy.

Experiencia negativa: It was just a horrible experience. I had an appointment at 1:00pm and showed up at 1:05 flat. The front desk person told me "sorry we have a 5 minutes policy so we can't take you". I was shocked. Everytime I came on time or before time, they made me wait for more than 10-15min for my turn to come and never even apologized. Last time I came, they made me wait 20 minutes after my booking time. Today with 5 minutes late they just canceled my appointment. The person was so rude just saying "that's how it is it's written on the website". Throughout this time, the shop was empty with no customers and the barbers were just chit-chatting around, not like they were busy or working with other customers. I asked why they did not call before canceling they just kept repeating in robotic way "that's how it is we have 5 minutes policy it is written on the website". No sense of customer service. This made me regret all the 20% tips I gave them on all my previous visits (tips underserved due to the poor quality of service)

Experiencia negativa: Brandon no longer works here apparently. Haircuts that i can pay at a cheaper barbershop for $30 (w/o tip)and same result. I'd rather move on if im gonna be paying $60+tip.

Experiencia negativa: Rushed service, 15 min instead of 30. Charge additional fee if you pay with credit card. Uneven cut, will do a fix. Lied about the service: I’ve chosen a haircut that includes shampoo, scalp treatment etc, but got nothing (see the screenshot from their website).

Experiencia negativa: Honestly, this is the worst place to get your haircut. Their unprofessionalism is astounding. If I didn't want a junior stylist, why is that a problem? I booked an appointment two hours in advance, unaware of the stylist's level. Concerned due to a previous bad experience with a junior barber at this place, I called to request a senior stylist. Since I’m traveling, I didn’t want to risk my haircut. Today, they called me back and blatantly lied, claiming I refused the previous appointment because the stylist was a woman. If calls are recorded, I'd love to hear that. I specifically stated I didn't want a junior stylist and requested someone with a rating of 3 stars or above. In what world is asking for a senior stylist an issue? Avoid this place at all costs. They clearly don’t value their customers or their preferences.

Experiencia negativa: I recently visited this barber shop and had a less than stellar experience. When I walked in, there was no greeting or acknowledgment, which made me feel unwelcome right from the start. To make matters worse, I had to wait for 20 minutes before I was attended to, despite having an appointment. The service itself was just okay. The barber, who is a level 1 beginner, did his best with the haircut, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. While I appreciate his effort, I won’t be returning to this shop. There are plenty of other places where the service and customer experience are more professional and welcoming.

Experiencia positiva: I booked an appointment at Rudy’s and was able to get in the same day. I showed up early for my appointment and the gal who cut my hair was able to get me in before my scheduled time. She was friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted. However Not really the experience I was looking for. I was looking for more of a traditional barbershop instead of a salon. With that being said, the girl who did my haircut did do a really good job. She took her time and the hair cut looks good. I will say it was a little bit on the expensive side, after 20% tip, it cost me $62 for a basic fade haircut. She did do a good job and was clearly good at her craft. Just not what I personally was looking for as far as environment and overall experience when I expect to go to a barber vs. a salon. Just wasn’t the right fit for me.

Experiencia fantástica: I previously had a bad experience at a different Rudy’s in seattle but stumbled into the one on 6th ave and that changed my impression. All the credit goes to Brandon! This is my second time getting my haircut with him and i am very satisfied!! He exactly does what you want and very patiently listens to what you ask for. I kept making changes to how i wanted my hair to look like and he happily did whatever i asked for each n every time! If at all you aren’t satisfied with your cut, it’s entirely your fault. So make sure you know what you ask for ;) I’m definitely going to visit this place again and will always get my hair done with Brandon :) And oh yeah not to forget the fun talks he always makes you indulge in :D Ps. If you want your hair washed, make sure you ask your barber as soonas you’re in the shop and they’ll do it for you. If you aren’t asking for it, they won’t do it for you. That’s how it is at Rudy’s :)

Experiencia negativa: I went for a beard trim(15 min slot) and I was disappointed with multiple things. Staff was a bit rude, the guy was in a hurry for his next appointment, did not listen to what I had asked for and the end result looked bad and unfinished. They said someone will reach out to me but they never did. I've had the same experience the last time I went for a haircut(a year ago). I'm never going to this place again.

Experiencia negativa: I wanted to share my recent experience at your salon. I understand that punctuality is important in your business, but I was disappointed with the way I was treated for being just 5 minutes late due to unavoidable reasons. The staff's response felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. While I appreciate the need for a smooth schedule, a little understanding and politeness would have made the situation much better. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.

Hi Rushin, typically we can accommodate being late 5 mins or less for a haircut, as they take about 30 mins, however with a beard trim 5 minutes can represent 1/3 or more of the entire scheduled time. Rather than rush, what we probably should have done was reschedule your appointment. Although it can be unavoidable at times, being on time is the best practice.

Experiencia fantástica: Always a warm friendly comfortable experience. I go to Cole K every time and they take care of me. Conversation with them and other staff is light and friendly. Prices are reasonable and products are gentle.

Experiencia negativa: Great service! It would be great to give estimates before the service starts. I went on for service which was around25$ but later learned the senior stylist are $35 while paying. Should be given option to let know when they walk in or book online specifically saying that you’re booking for standard or senior and when I walk in they should tell me that I booked for standard service and NOT by senior. Also mention about velsh charge that you add later. Be more transparent Please fix this! Thank you

Experiencia positiva: I only go when my barber is booked or out of town. Rudy’s always a disappointment with crooked and non symmetrical lines and cuts :( 3 stars because the dude that cut my hair was nice. Response to owner: I came back once after this review (on November 6th) for a cut and beard trim, and I would say it was much better. But come on: you can do way better than this; better training, better tools, etc.. so your customer can have a more consistent experience.

Experiencia negativa: Nice interior and friendly staff but bad haircut quality. You’ll have to correct their mistakes at home after the visit. Think patches of uncut hair all over the head and asymmetrical lines/forms.

Experiencia positiva: Had a weird experience here after years of great Rudy's service... Stylist didn't wash my hair (figured he just wanted to rough chop before, which is fine, that happens). However, he decided he was done without the face framing I asked for (also trimming the front is not the same as face framing). I asked how to get my hair washed, he said it was my fault for not asking for my hair to be washed when I showed up. I'll be going back to have someone else fix it, but I'm pretty shy and conflict averse, so I hope it goes okay, wish me luck

Obviously you don't have to have one if you'd prefer not to, but it should always be offered and you should never come away feeling like you were asking for anything special.

Experiencia positiva: I came in pretty shaggy, it had been about 2.5 months since I had my hair cut. I had an appointment with Mike and right off the bat, I felt rushed. He asked should we do X Y and Z and I pulled up a photo of myself when I've liked it in the past. Same photo I always show and have never had complaints before. He immediately said "that doesn't tell me anything your hair just looks like a blob." It seems like he just ended up doing X Y and Z. At the end of the haircut he asked if everything was okay and I didn't love it but couldn't point out what it was in the moment so I said everything was fine. When I looked at it in a mirror later everything looked so inconsistent. I realized he never cut my bangs so I had this 3-4" long hair on top of my head and my bangs were 5-6" long. Looks weird if they ever fall in my face. The haircut took 20 minutes which is like 1/2 I'm used to. It overall felt very rushed and I think the end product reflects that unfortunately.

I went there for a haircut but the stylist sprays my hair with water and went on to cut which looked okay then but once I returned the fade, cut and everything was inconsistent. The place looks great with all the facilities.. but the stylist could probably use better training

Experiencia negativa: I really liked the place, but not the haircut. Asked for a tapering clean fade starting from a zero. Came back home to check the mirror closely and was dismayed at the unevenness of the cut. (Look at the length near the ears. Looks like the barber ran off amid the cut). There could be better attention to detail. Will try to book someone else for next time. ☹️☹️

Experiencia negativa: Frankly, I returned to fix the first trim I had done at this Rudy's. This no longer is Bishops, so please check the date of the reviews. So today, I came into a friendly staff halfway through; the barber (not a stylist) mentioned he was an intern (I won't name names) who charges the same amount. Well, the normal-length sideburns I've had for 20 years were immediately removed (see my profile picture), and one sideburn was cut a full inch shorter than the other when he was done; one side of my head is buzzed about 1/4 inch from the scalp, and the other noticeably longer. I've got this goofy collick thing on the side of my head (!) where none was ever present and possibly the worst haircut of my life. I am debating whether to make them fix it at their cost or cut my $60 loss and run to someone else because there isn't enough gel to fix this for my profession. As a follow-up, I called 3 times, was hung up on once, and left messages twice when it went to voice mail with no reply until now. To be fair, I went to another stylist, and they said it was cut so short, so high, there is nothing anyone can do until it grows out here is a before and after shot.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely awful experience! Was charged for the haircut even though I was denied service because I was late. The Barber was pompous and uninterested. I could not fathom how he could be both at the very same time. But the strangest thing was that I was made to wait for the same amount of time during my last two visits but was not given any refund. Why does the rule not apply both ways? Anyway, ethics aside, I was terribly confused whether to be disappointed with the barber for being too unbothered to look up the phone and be rude to me or for being awfully bad at basic Math. Look, i’m not expecting my barber to be decent at basic arithmetic, he doesn’t need to count my hair! But he said he’s expecting the next guest soon and need to prepare for him(For about 12-13 min). If he was planning to do my haircut for only 12 min anyway and use the rest of time to prepare for next customer, why did he not use the remaining 13 minutes for my haircut and use the remaining one minute to look into his phone a.k.a prepare for his next customer. I understand, man has his needs! Maybe he’s looking at something incredibly important on YouTube like “Learn to cut hair in 12 minutes”, I really don’t know, i can only speculate. But what i really detest is someone charging me money, not providing service at all, someone trying to make an easy buck by not moving his bum at all and having the audacity to cold talk with me. I admit, I got caught up at work and was late, my mistake, but you sir are a whole lot worse! You know exactly who you are!

Experiencia negativa: My beard trim experience here was really bad. The guy was not at all skilled (and it was their best guy for beard trim/Level 2 professional). He did not understand what a faded look is and did not take pointers when I tried to convey what I wanted (disagreed to look at a picture saying "I got this"). He went ahead and shaved off facial hair from my cheeks, something I had been growing for weeks to develop a longer beard. His neck line was really untidy and was in general rude about cleaning up side burns saying he would need to charge for a haircut if he went beyond a certain point (FYI all salons clean up ends to make it blend with your beard). All in all, I would not recommend going here for a beard trim, it is not their forte. They have really skilled hair stylists (shoutout to Stephanie) and I always get my haircut from here.

Experiencia fantástica: Eric has been cutting my hair there for quite some time and he is AMAZING, I would give him 10 starts if I could. Highly recommend. Very personable, attentive to detail and all around a sweetheart. My most recent cut is probably the best I have ever had, even girls have been hitting on me. Only drawback, the service at the desk could definitely be better. I was recently over charged for a product that I never purchased at the time of the appointment and the service experience I received from said manager was less to be desired for a refund, I will still leave this 5 star review though. Definitely worth the hassle to see my darling Eric.

She gave me a dry cut for $52 and it was way better than any of the other cuts I’ve had for upwards of $120. She’s the daughter of a hairdresser and has been doing this for 20+ years. Experiencia negativa: Extremely RUDE customer service. There was some confusion about the time of appointment 11.15 vs 11.30a. When I showed up at 11.30a, the hair dresser was excessively rude and said “I don’t have time to cut your hair”. Such behavior is uncalled for and unacceptable. Totally understand if the slot was taken by someone else, but there’s a respectful way of communicating this. Would not recommend this place at all.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm trans and this has lead to difficulties going to barbershops, but not at Rudy's! Mike Baronowski was excellent to work with and didn't bat an eye at my request. The other stylist and shop manager treated me like just another customer. This might sound small and dumb, but it was such a relief coming in and just getting a haircut. I'll be back soon!

Experiencia fantástica: Eric is my go-to guy here and has been for almost two years. It’s hard to find a stylist that treats you more than just another customer. Eric gets my somewhat difficult hair (two cowlicks in strange places and an uncommon hairline) he knows what I’m looking for and I trust him to make sure I look professional yet cute . Experiencia positiva: They don’t have experience in handling Asian hair colors. They told me I have extremely thick hair which is simply not true - I’m about average in Asians. They use “semi-permanent” hair dyes which are basically just like color conditioners. (Overtone is even better!) These are are not able to color Asian hair as well as permanent hair dyes because the colors will not deposit on our hair texture. I ended up going to Bellevue to save my hair.

Experiencia fantástica: Stephanie was fantastic. I've gone through a really, really rough year, and it was wonderful to be taken care of by someone who was an awesome human being and also who knows their stuff and took the time to educate me about my hair and how to style it. I wish hair grew faster so I could go back again soon to have them work their magic. Also, kudos to Bishops for your high safety standards during covid.
