Experiencia negativa: Showed up early when the shop was empty and asked to get haircuts for my three sons and myself. I explained we were visiting CO Springs from Denver and were hoping to get haircuts before heading home. There were only two barbers, but thankfully they were able to accommodate two of my sons and myself. The third could not be accommodated which I understood because we didn’t have appointments. However, the employee was discourteous and unwelcoming when explaining why they couldn’t accommodate all four of us. The rude employee, who was a barber, did a very good job cutting my son’s hair; no complaints there. A male barber, who was very friendly and helpful, cut one of my son’s hair as well as mine. Unfortunately, both haircuts were not to our expectation or requests; the fades were not done correctly and we looked like we had “bowl cuts.” Since appointments started showing up and we had to get back to Denver, we left the shop without getting things fixed. I was also not confident the haircuts could be fixed based on what I saw. We returned to Denver and had to visit another Floyd’s (Erie) to get my son’s hair fixed. The barber there did an excellent job and gave my son exactly what he wanted. Unfortunately, mine needs to grow out before it can be corrected. Overall, the experience at this particular Floyd’s was not a good one and I would not recommend this location to others.

We’re glad to hear that our team was at least able to accommodate three of you on short notice and that the barber who cut one of your son’s hair did a very good job. At the same time, we are genuinely sorry that the overall experience at this location fell short of what you expected, especially given that you were trying to get everyone taken care of before heading back to Denver.

You should always feel welcomed and treated with courtesy, even when we are unable to accommodate every request. Hearing that you found one of our employees discourteous and unwelcoming when explaining why we could not take all four of you is very concerning, and not the kind of interaction we want any client to have.

We also apologize that the other haircuts did not match your expectations or requests, particularly with the fades and overall shape, and that you felt you had to leave without getting them adjusted due to timing and a lack of confidence they could be fixed. Needing to visit another Floyd’s in Erie to correct your son’s haircut, and not being able to fix yours until it grows out, is not the experience we want you to have with our brand.

We appreciate you recognizing the positive experience you had at the Erie location, and we will be sharing your feedback about both shops with our local leadership teams so we can address the concerns at the Colorado Springs location and reinforce the standards that led to your better experience in Erie. Experiencia negativa: I have booked over 50 appointments at Floyd’s throughout Colorado. Today I got caught behind an accident and called the N. Academy location to let them know I was going to be 10 minutes late. I was told no problem. I get there 10 minutes late, the receptionist goes to get the stylist and now I am told 10 minutes is too late. The receptionist initially said it was the manager that said that, then she retracted and said it was the stylist. Too bad. They could have told me that 10 minutes was too long, before traveling the next 25 minutes to get there, just to be refused. Where has customer service gone? Not to Floyd’s…

Experiencia negativa: Went in and asked for a low fade with a 1.5 on the bottom and to keep my sideburns how they were. Left with a high fade and all the hair on the sides is a 1 with the top being cut significantly more then the small amount I asked for. Super simple haircut I don’t understand how you race through a haircut when no one was waiting and still expect a tip. Hard to say anything when you can’t fix it and just have to let it grow out again. Would not recommend this location for a simple fade haircut

Experiencia fantástica: Updated review and changing 3 to 5 stars. Wonderful place, but hair was left long around 1 ear and I had to clean it up at home. However, when I contacted Floyds, their quick and friendly customer service made it right.

Experiencia negativa: They always charge too much, I went there the other day for an even trim. When finished it was an uneven trim and I had to pay 55. The barber kept saying it has to be uneven for texture.

Experiencia negativa: My husband came in for a basic haircut. This is what he walked out with. The girl couldn’t decide what to even do with his hair. And charged almost 40 bucks for this. It looks like a child did it. Some parts are really long other parts you can see his scalp. She tried to talk him into doing a comb over and he didn’t want that. He said he just wanted a basic haircut. There’s not even one straight line on his hair so now we have to do a complete buzz cut just to make it look normal. I get it if you’re new, but there should be at least some sort of supervisor they’re looking and seeing what they’re doing.

Experiencia negativa: I came in for a bixie, a bob pixie combo. Walked out with Tina from bobs burgers. My hair was just past my shoulders and I selected the medium length I didn’t know what it would be considered but wasn’t worried figured they would go over the price in the consult. In which I very rudely was told don’t you know how our pricing works, I said no I wasn’t sure but I’m ok paying she said well I selected the wrong one, it was more. Cool, didn’t need the hostility. I wasn’t concerned with the price but the attitude was very off putting. I immediately locked up and didn’t want to say a word. Please Don’t go to Abbey. She sucked. From beginning to end. I am not happy and literally the cashier was looking at me like I grew a second head because my haircut was awful.

Experiencia fantástica: I love the whole atmosphere! it’s an awesome place to sit down, chit chat, and get a nice cut all in one place! everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Spencer! that’s my guy! such an awesome human being and it was obvious how much he pays attention to detail and what you’re looking for in a haircut. I even had my appointment a little later in the day (on a busier day ) and he still gave me an outstanding haircut/service.

Experiencia fantástica: First time coming in and needless to say, I’m going to stay. The crowd is wonderful, real nice down to earth individuals. Atmosphere in my opinion is a nice bonus, it’s hip but stylish! Brings back some old school nostalgia. Rachael did my haircut and she did fantastic. A very genuine woman. She was very precious and checked to clarify it was up to my standards! First time in and she even threw in a free shampoo condition scrub for my hair, (they offer it if you are in need to go somewhere right after!) extra charge but not for those first timers! Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: By far the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. I asked for a mid taper fade and even showed pictures of what I was asking for. I also asked to keep the bulk around the top and back id my head. My barber rushed through this haircut, and as soon as the clipper touched my head, I knew this wasn’t going to be a good cut. She immediately took off all the bulk around my head… exactly what I asked for her not to do. I ended up getting no taper, but all my hair off on the sides I asked the barber to blend it in to fix the damage…. but now i just have bald spots on the side of my head. Worst haircut of my life… I normally go to chain barbershops like sports clips, and even they can do this right. NOT worth the $36 at all. I hope they can fix this.

Experiencia negativa: Asked for a crew cut and this is what my boyfriend got. Had to drive to another barbershop frantically just to fix their mistake. If you don’t know how to do this type of hair cut then a “I cannot do what you are asking for but I can do this” would have sufficed. The fact that they charged us and let him walk out looking like this is so extremely disrespectful. People work hard for their money, and for this Floyd’s to treat us like this is beyond pathetic. Don’t go here, save your money and go to Art of Fadez on North Academy. They will treat you with respect, listen to what you want, and spend time crafting a look unique to you. Screw Floyd’s, get better barbers.

Experiencia fantástica: Ava was amazing! I just moved here and needed to find a new stylist but was a bit nervous since I have wavey/curly hair and on the shorter side being female but needing my curls layered. However, Ava UNDERSTOOD the assignment! The vision! I have had so many compliments and it’s been 2 days! She did such an amazing job, and she was beyond friendly with great conversations while I was in her chair. I highly recommend Ava and Floyd’s! They are so friendly when you walk in and answer any questions you may need prior if you call. I am glad to find a stylist and will continue to go to Ava.

Experiencia fantástica: New customer & just became returning customer! We’ve taken teen son to sports clips for years and lately their quality has gotten worse and worse. So we decided to try somewhere new! Floyd’s was GREAT! Appt within an hour Easy to book online No wait upon arrival Great customer service GREAT HAIRCUT- exactly what my son wanted Quick and friendly Easy checkout and able to book next appt. Experiencia fantástica: 10 out of 10 I will always come back to Floyd on north academy. Ask for Jenny, I’ve been going to Floyds for over 3-4 years now and always enjoy my experience. Jenny has been cutting my hair for almost a year now and I will not go to anyone else, best experience I’ve ever had with a haircut. She always knows exactly what I like and does it perfectly, and she does an outstanding job with my beard everytime too. Go see Jenny at Floyd’s she’s a great and is always a pleasure to talk with!! Experiencia negativa: We went for my son’s haircut yesterday and had a news stylist (our previous one did a great job but she is no longer there). Jenny spent just 10 minutes cutting his hair and it is a disaster. The back is crooked and choppy with a big chunk sticking out. The front is nothing like it is supposed to be and is just a flat mop on the top of his head. He was so embarrassed to have to go to school like this today!

Experiencia negativa: I am not one to leave reviews as this is my first review on Google ever. I have gone to this location for around a year. The last few times I have gone here I have seen Colby and he has done an amazing job. I wasn't able to get in with Colby so I just booked a random appointment. I should've waited. I got an appointment with a Tony and that was a mistake. He did not listen to anything I asked. Very simple haircut. 1 mid fade. Even out the top. Blend the side and I will style it to the right side. This is what I got... not a fade and took at least an inch off the top. Luckily I can wear a hat to work. He seemed distracted and didn't appear to listen. After he "faded" it he asked you just style it to the front right. He had just cut the right side all the way up so you couldn't blend it together. Didn't listen at the beginning. I would read other reviews and there are similar ones. If you go here see which barber is recommended and stay away from others. Again I would never recommend Tony. If you go here I would recommend Colby. He does a great job.

Experiencia negativa: I have gone here before and it had been great. My haircut had turned out good but the second time I went here then the service was horrible. The barber appeared to be drunk or high, and was walking around and stumbling as well as slurring his speech. He did nothing I asked from either my requests or the photo I provided him. He couldn't even face me towards the mirror while cutting my hair. Absolutely horrible outcome and I'm so disappointed right before school starts.

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment with Ricky.. After waiting well past my appointment time, she finished another cut, looked right at me as I was waiting, took her sweet time cleaning up, then walked out the back to go to lunch. I waisted my ehole lunch break, got no food and no haircut. I guess the customer comes last here. Horrible service.

Experiencia negativa: Took husband for a faded mohawk on Sunday. He told his stylist that he didn't want any of his actual length on top taken off.. I knew he hated it the minute I saw his face. She gave him a faded mohawk, but chopped at least an inch off on top. It's now Wednesday and I've shaved his head because he can't stand the haircut. Someone please tell me, how did my husband get his head nicked? I know every scar on this man's head, it ain't a scar and it's above where there the fade should've stopped? I paid $38 for a haircut that ultimately didn't even last a week! It was a waste of money and time..

Experiencia negativa: I've always had a great experience with Kai, but this was my first, and last, trip without her at this location. Their system was down when I came in, so after we got through the line and it was my turn to check in, they said I was late and they couldn't do my appointment, but they could reschedule me for an hour later. 3 people at the desk, and 2 sitting in their chairs on their phones, and they couldn't fit me in with their busy schedule. Said they tried to call me but I have no calls on my phone. This is the closest and cheapest place to get a haircut near me, but I will now be making different accommodations in the future.

I wish if people weren’t comfortable doing girls hair they would just say so. Paying high end price of 70 bucks for barely any style is ridiculous. Experiencia fantástica: This is only the second time I’ve been to Floyd’s in the past two years. Each time was an excellent experience. My takeaways: 1. The entire staff is welcoming and professional. 2. The cleanliness is above par 3. The work stations are well placed and appointed 4. The style and decor is current yet caters to the wide range of customer base of all ages. 5, The sound system and variety of tunes are appealing - although volume could be turned down a notch. My philosophy is “Music should be seen and not heard” A play on words when you’re trying to have a meaningful conversation without having to compete with volume fit for the hard of hearing. In other words - Background music enhances the ambiance. Keynote about my stylist on my last visit - Ashley was phenomenal. Highly recommended!! I will return

Experiencia fantástica: Haircuts can be a real boring experience sometimes, but the staff at this Floyd’s really makes it a pleasant experience. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff is friendly and welcoming and the diverse group of stylists/barbers are all friendly and talented. I’ve had my hair cut by multiple people and both Amanda G and Colby have sent me out the door looking great. The ability to book my appointment beforehand makes it extra easy to get my hair cut how I want, when I want.

I used to love this place and have been coming for years and i came today and they messed everything up i had to keep reiterating myself so she would CUT my hair over and over until i was fed up enough to leave, and it wasnt just her the guy next to my stall was doing a trim on someone and he kept going over and over to tell him the same thing that hes been saying neither one of them on that left side should have ANY business cutting hair. Wouldve done better myself at home never returning

Experiencia negativa: Gone here several times, haven’t had a bad cut. This morning, I had a 9am appointment before work. I got a call at 8:58 (I’m already sitting in their parking lot waiting for my appointment) that the stylist they chose for me (I always select “anyone” when setting appointments) wasn’t going to be coming in and they couldn’t honor the appointment. Offered to schedule me later in the day but had I wanted (or even COULD have) a time later in the day, I would’ve scheduled it then. This is the only morning I have time to do it each week. So that’s it then, no hair cut for me this week? Lost a customer. I won’t be returning to this Floyd’s.

Experiencia fantástica: It was nice to have somebody on staff that openly used words like gender affirming in their profile. It can be very awkward going into a random barbershop, and sometimes dangerous, and asking for services as someone who does not conform to the standard female identity. Floyd’s has always made me feel safe and has allowed me to explore different ways of expressing myself. I’m nearly 42 years old and I’ve only just now just starting to feel comfortable in my own skin (and hair). Thank you for that.

Experiencia positiva: I’ve been going here for years and never had an issue. I always ask for the same cut and never had a problem until today. Nick didn’t seem to understand my cut (ignoring the length I requested for my sides) which isn’t a problem as long as you communicate. Nick didn’t seem the communication type and seemed ticked off the entire time. Also didn’t dry my hair and straight up let me walk out with a soaked top. It’s hair, it’ll grow back, it just was not the usual great experience I get here.

Experiencia positiva: The Barber didn't know how to cut African American hair. He seemed very hesitant and afraid to cut my hair the whole time. Then he moved my lineup back too far. My girlfriend told me that it's just hair and it will grow back but she laughs at me every time she looks at me because she can see the mistakes. Just be honest with future customers. It's better to turn people away for honesty rather than lose a new customer. You put money into advertising to get new clients or customers so do your best not to lose them.

Experiencia fantástica: I walked in and was greeted by the lovely and professional Blake (she is wonderful). I saw Allie W. for a long layer haircut. I showed up and she was all ready for me. It was just supposed to be a trim, but I threw in an undercut, and she just said "no problem". She did a diamond shaped undercut after consulting me and I said it was what I wanted. We did the undercut, the shampoo and the trim. We had lovely conversation the whole time and I left. I got home and my hair did NOT love the diamond shaped undercut and would NOT go into a respectful ponytail. I immediately called Floyd's and asked if Allie had any appointments for the next day. It was supposed to be her administration day, but she got on the phone and I explained the situation. She got in me in first thing the next morning. 5 minutes fixed and done. I couldn't be happier. Plus, she took the time to put a few layers in my hair to make it move better and quite frankly gorgeous. I will not be going to anyone else. The entire time I was in the shop every single employee was taking their time with clients and super personable and making sure everyone was happy before they left. Go here, PLEASE! Experiencia negativa: Been going to Floyd’s for awhile, unfortunately had to go to a different shop and stylist and had the worst experience. Stylist was completely baked out of his mind. Did not clean up my neck line, only squared off one sideburn, barely trimmed the top, and offered no product, shampoo, or additional services. As I do believe this is a one off, and I’ve always had great experiences at Floyd’s, I am completely dissatisfied, considering his bio states “not only looking your best, but feeling your best”

Experiencia negativa: Not happy with these girls. I called them to let them know I would be a few minutes late and the girl on the phone said no problem, just make sure you are here within 7 minutes late of the appointment. I drive there and arrive exactly 7 minutes late and they said i need to reschedule. i walked right out and went to Art Of Fadez who booked me regardless of being a little late and they gave me an excellent fade and service. I had been to Floyd's 99 once previously and got an okayish overpriced fade and beard trim. You lost a customer. Very rude and arrogant staff.

Experiencia negativa: So I've been coming here for a few months now and never had much of a problem, summer has always been good to me. I booked an appointment for 2:30 but was 15 minutes late because I had to drop off my boy and traffic was pretty busy. I called and told them and they said everything was OK. I get there and go inside and they told me to wait. I waited a few minutes and the next thing they told me was that my stylist wouldn't give me a haircut other than a neck trim even though they said it would be ok. After all the work getting there to be turned away was pretty disappointing. I even saw my stylist sitting in her car so she wouldn't have to tell me herself. Ended up going across the street and got a better haircut anyway. Shame too, this was a pretty decent place until covid hit.

Experiencia negativa: This is the second time I've been to Floyd's for my son's haircut and the quality has been absolutely abysmal both times. I thought I had an unusually bad experience the first time, so I gave them another chance. I'm convinced that they do not care about taking time to give young kids a nice fade, but would rather get them out of their chair as quickly as possible. I was called back to look at his hair after only 5 minutes which is not long enough for a thorough haircut. I was shocked. I asked for a dusting and cleaning on top and the stylist took 2 full inches off. She made his bangs look like Lloyd Christmas from Dumb & Dumber. And the sides were very choppy. I saw the result and asked her to take the sides and back shorter so it would at least look like it was done semi-professionally, but it was so bad that there was no fixing it. I firmly believe that I (with zero haircutting experience) could have given him a much better haircut. For $26, I'd expect some level of effort to give my son a nice haircut.

Experiencia negativa: My appointment was at 2:30 with Paul showed up let them know and the front desk girl said there was a wait??? Then asked if we cared who cut my hair I said no finally 3:12 so 42 mins later they got me in. They whole time I was waiting there was 4 barbers just sitting there talking and laughing. Super unprofessional and makes me sick to gives these people $30 dollars for a haircut that was super unprofessional. I use to love coming here but will take my business somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: They dont take walk-ins, but the big banner outside says "Walk-In". Can't understand why they would turn down business. I walked in with two others and we were all turned away.

Experiencia negativa: The first photo is the photo I showed as inspiration. The second photo is how my cut came out.. Rheanna should have told me she wasnt comfortable executing what I asked for. I didn't expect such a botched job from someone who has been licensed for a decade. Management needs to contact me for a refund. The way my cut was executed is not acceptable.

Experiencia negativa: Really disappointed in the haircut that I got today. I tried several times to tell the stylist what I want but she didn't seem to listen and wouldn't adjust accordingly. Ended up walking out with a haircut that was not at all what I was asking for as well as covered in all of the hair clippings. Edit: After calling the shop for a resolution, I was placed on hold in the middle of my first few words to whoever picked up the phone and then disconnected shortly after. I called back and was able to talk to someone but was unable to book an appointment as soon as I would have hoped. I am not satisfied for having to work around their schedule for their mistake. After this fix, this will probably be my last visit to Floyds. I am disappointed to go after having been a customer of this location for 6+ years but the quality of haircuts, services, and pricing has declined greatly over the past few years.

Experiencia negativa: I tried to get a hair cut at this place on the fly. They had 3-4 barbers in there with 30 minutes to close and no other customers. I told them the cut I wanted and they said "that'll take 45 minutes and we close in 30, sorry". I was pretty shocked. I went to super cuts and they completed the same cut in 25 min... Was looking forward to finding a new barber with a cool atmosphere but not with that kind of service!

Experiencia fantástica: Itd been a while since I got a decent haircut. The staff in the business was friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable. My barber was professional and polite. She told me exactly what she was doing and why. She gave good recommendations when asked. My haircut ended up being very good, very precise, and better than I've had since moving here. I will definitely go back. The price for a haircut, wash and style for me, a guy with short hair, came to about 25 bucks. Very reasonable.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had plenty of haircuts here and not one has been bad. However, just today I had the most meticulous well done haircut I think I have ever had. Everything from the thorough understanding of what I wanted all the way through the very methodical way of cutting, all the way through to putting extra time into styling when the product was applied. ERIN, is likely going to be the only one I go to in the future. Once you get a haircut from her, it is likely you will be unable to settle for anyone else as well.

Experiencia fantástica: My son always sees Dylan at the Academy location. He always does a great job at cutting my son’s hair and is very friendly. My son is 12 but Dylan is always very respectful and friendly to my son. My son will not use anyone else. My hubby gets his haircut here as well and everyone who has cut his hair have always done a great job.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in for a haircut and a shave. The haircut was fine but the shave was bad. Luke warm towels that were on and off in a flash, no letting them sit to help soften the hairs and also relax. Then the razor that was used was dull, providing a very unpleasant shave. I got 2 nicks and when I got home I could still see stubble where he missed. I have to shave again. So haircuts are fine but I would not get a shave there again. Locals does a much better shave. Update: The manager did a great job of reaching out to me and getting back in for another haircut and shave. They had me with Chris who did an excellent job. Thanks to John for the great customer service and Chris for doing a great haircut and shave the way it should be done. Update: I have seen Shayna a couple of time for a haircut and she has done a great job. I highly recommend her and will continue to give her my business.
