The Brier Barber Shop

Positive experience: Brandon Castillo cut my hair and he did a great job. 5/5. But they had some kid there saying weird stuff. I don't know if he is another barber or what but it kind of made things weird. Good cut. Bad environment. I want to go back for the good cut but may go back to my old barber for a chiller environment.

Negative experience: Getting a haircut at Brier barber shop is worse than death, I coudlnt wish this upon my worst enemy. You would be better off buzzing your head with a cheese grater. If there is one word to describe the service you'll get, it's "chopped". Brier barber shop's ability (or lack there of) to cut hair is profoundly absent, making me question the complexities of life itself after seeing that the "barber" thought it was a good idea to pick up clippers today, let alone choose this as their career option. I know this sounds harsh, but im taking it easy on them. Visiting brier barber shop on Provo Center St is akin to the most wretched anguish known to man. I've been to hell and back my friends, it starts and ends at brier barbershops doors. Was this haircut worth 25$? No. You couldnt pay me to come back here. Was their service deserving of one star? No, if i could give it less i would. If i could give this place one word of advice, hang up the gloves and close up shop (permanently).

Positive experience: Place was very nice. I felt very welcomed and comfortable however the hair cut was pretty underwhelming. Asked for a drop fade and he didn’t fade the back and it wasn’t blended well in the front. Also cut all my curls off in the back. The place was nice however I think the barber is still learning

Positive experience: I went in for a straight razor face shave. The person who did it was very nice and professional, but the shave was lacking in quality. There were many times when the razor caught on hair and the shave felt more like scraping than shaving. There were also multiple spots on my face that were missed that I ended up needing to shave when I got home.

Fantastic experience: The Works was an amazing experience for my son. Here for the weekend and the place was super clean and organized. We walked by and immediately wanted to book an appointment right away. The service was great as well as the haircut and shave. Kaden was a super fun guy and very talented! We would totally go here again when we visit next time.

I kid you not I’ve been all over town trying to find someone you can cut me right and it wasn’t until I found this miracle man that my life changed. Kid you not his cuts have made me a bachelor without even getting any dating apps. I would literally pay this man hundreds of dollars if could but he’s too humble and will only let me pay the appropriate amount because “it’s the right thing to do” thank you Juan. You’ll be coming to the wedding when I get married.

Fantastic experience: When I first entered Brier, I was hit with a feeling that I hadn't felt for years, a feeling that I hadn't experienced since my childhood, a feeling that reminded me what it was like to enter Disneyland. As I was greeted by the man himself, Juan, it was like an angel had come down from heaven above and was welcoming me. As Juan cut it was like the Mona Lisa being painted again, except on my head. He did such a good job that I shed a single tear as I departed. The Brier Barbershop is the closest thing on this earth to perfect and I recommend that everyone go and get a fresh cut at Brier.

Fantastic experience: I am VERY careful about who trims my beard. It's a big part of my image. I've won several awards and contests with some substantial prizes. On top of that, I'm an ambassador for Live Bearded. So, I have to protect my investment. I have had it butchered by others, including me before. I stopped in one day, without an appointment at the Brier. I was told if I came back in in an hour, they could fit me in. The place is upstairs above a coffee shop on Center Street in Provo. When I came back, I was handed over to Brandon. Brandon took the time to ask what I wanted. I told him that I only wanted a touch up for the stray hairs in my beard, and a clean-up on my sides. "DON'T MESS WITH MY LENGTH," I told him. He listened, then proceeded to provide what I can only call, the 'royal treatment.' He cleaned up my sides, evened out my bottom, cleaned up my neck, and even straight razored my line. The result, PERFECTION, That is why I come back again and again and have Brandon do my maintenance. He's a chill guy and remembers me each time I come in. I'm treated with respect, and friendliness by all of the workers at The Brier. I would recommend it to anyone, not just for facial hair, but for haircuts as well. Their prices are outstanding, and their attention to detail is what sets them apart. Do yourself a favor and get more than a trip to the barber, but a serve yourself the treat you deserve by supporting this fantastic establishment. They are top notch!

Fantastic experience: Amazing decorations and comfy place. I always cut my hair with Louis and he is just too good at it; good fades and better treatment. The other barbers are also very nice and chill. You are not gonna be disappointed.

Negative experience: I didn't get my haircut but I saw one of their guys absolutely lose it at and yell at someone for pausing on the stairs for no reason in broad daylight while Java Junkie was full one day, totally insane.

Negative experience: If you want a quick haircut or a chill, mostly quiet environment this is not the place for you! Barber could not stop chatting with others and would speak pretty loudly. Doesn’t help that he was always next to my ear. Was supposed to be a 30min cut ended up being over an hour.
