I went again the other day, and it was great again. She's very professional, knows what she's doing, listens to you, and gives suggestions that suit your style. It's clear she's been doing this for many years; she's a great communicator. She is definitely the best barber I've seen in Long Beach, I will continue to go to her, and I highly recommend her.

Negative experience: I came to this barbershop because my regular shop was full. I looked up top rated barbers and this place came up. I looked at the reviews and it seemed to have decent reviews. I made an appt with Bryan because he had good reviews. I went in and it was pretty loud. Clean, but loud. Bryan cut my hair and I knew from the moment he started cutting my hair that I wouldn't be happy. He was rushing through. I have never had a person rush so quick to cut my hair. The whole thing took maybe 14 minutes. Even with the straight razor he rushed through. There were a couple people who were in the chairs getting their hair cut when I walked in and still in the chair when I walked out. The haircut itself was okay which is why I gave 2 stars, but definitely not the best.

Fantastic experience: I booked an appt with Cori for my 3.5 year old. He had 6 months of grow out. She worked fast and the haircut came out great! It was our first time there, but we will be returning.

Fantastic experience: Went here on whim as an early Christmas gift to get my brother a cleaned up for a job interview. The place was clean and the people who worked there were friendly. Bryan did the cut and beard trim and my brother left so happy! He looked like a new person with more confidence and kept checking himself in the mirror in the car when we left. Bryan was very kind and efficient and made my brother feel comfortable and excited to come back!

Fantastic experience: I have short curly hair, and finding someone who can handle both curls AND Barber cuts is difficult. When I first met Jackie, I explained what I was struggling with, and she was able to pinpoint why my previous cuts were causing those issues- and then plan with me to create a cut and style that accomplished what I wanted. The whole place is laid back, and all of the staff are really chill and friendly. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Joel is terrible! First he made me wait 15 minutes and he told me it was because he was hungover... He also screwed up leaving the hair near my ears being different lengths on each side. He talked about stupid conspiracy theories the entire time. Had a good experience with other barbers but will not be returning if he is still there

Positive experience: These guys know what they are doing. I was served under Billy, and that guy is a great guy! He was very precise at how he cut my hair. Although my haircut was simple, he did not just snip-snip here and that's it. Instead, he took his time making sure every particle of hair on my head was symmetrical. These barbers are not just carbon copies of any hair cutters. No, these guys who cut here at Razorbacks Barbershop are craftsman. Also, the atmosphere is unique and "rugged," but still feels comfortable to sit around at. Every man should get their hair cut here.

Fantastic experience: Razorbacks in Long Beach is a gem located on the corner of Redondo and 4th. The building still has the old pharmacy sign mounted on the brick, a lovely tribute to Long Beach history that I adore. There is a small parking lot behind the place off of 4th Street, but it's tight and usually packed. If you go around the block, you'll find parking in the neighborhood or off of Redondo. Be cautious not to park in the lots across the streets, as they will give you a warning. The barbershop itself has an old-school vibe with an edginess that makes it a fitting start to Retro Row. You can conveniently book appointments online. My husband and I both chose Jackie based on her wide skill set. Her technique is on point. She refreshes my above-the-shoulder haircut and touches up my undercut. For the undercut design, I always go with dealer's choice and am always delighted with the outcome. For my husband, she trims his hair, fades his undercut, and grooms his beard, keeping it looking full and healthy. Jackie is hands down the best. She's a lot of fun—she's clever, quick, and has a great sense of humor. I'm sure the other barbers are also amazing, but we tried Jackie first, and she hasn't disappointed us yet. We'll keep making appointments with her; if it ain't broke, why fix it?

Jackie is attentive to the client and probably the best part is being able to provide perspective and insight into what may or may not work depending on hair type and personality (or lack thereof...lol)...I have not had a bad experience and highly recommend connecting with her for your next haircutting experience....plus an added bonus is the whole crew at Razorbacks is top shelf!
