Fantastic experience: The summer of 2025, I went to see Bre at GemCity Barbers to get a special cut. My hair is very short. I told her about my mother who passed away August of 2024. She loved butterflies and we both share purple as our favorite color. I shared a photo of a butterfly that I wanted shaved in the back. At the end of the session, she handed me the mirror to take a look at her artwork. I immediately broke down in tears. It was beautiful and had been colored purple. She did that as a surprise for me. It was a beautiful thing.

My son is on the spectrum and Laos patient, caring, giving my son breaks to allow him to get comfortable. I highly recommend and will definitely keep going back to see Lavon.. I never get tired of saying to find you a barber that's abouts your kiddos..

Fantastic experience: I took my two year-old autistics on there for the first time and they were amazing to say the least. They were very understanding and patient of my son’s needs and made us feel both very welcomed. LAVON POPE was our barber and he was very kind. Even through Mrs. Rachel on the TV and was singing along with my son to make him feel happy and safe. Will definitely be making this our Shop from now on. Thank you for every barber in there for making my boy feel safe and welcomed.

Fantastic experience: My son is an adult with autism and he had his first Gem City cut w/hot towel with Tyrice. Tyrice was patient, watched his ears (my son’s ears are super sensitive) abd made sure Peyt was nice and clean. He had a beautiful fade and a nice clean shave because Peyton was looking like a mountain man with his beard. I loved the atmosphere in Gem City. Everyone was talking about life and it had that great barbershop feel that not too many places have anymore. Thank you Tyrice for the amazing cut and talking with my son. You get 5 stars.
