Fantastic experience: Great Barber Shop and Great customer Service. May Look Pricey but you get what you pay for . I’m a picky client and Sergio did a great Job on my custom drop fade and beard . Plus a warm towel at the end to relax and relieve some stress . Much recommended worth every penny

Fantastic experience: I came here to try out a new barber and NY Barbershop doesn't disappoint. Besides from the excellent haircut the service here is phenomenal, because Sergio is a professional through and through. Sergio takes his time to really understand the type of style you're going for and really makes it happen. I'm glad I took the time to stop by this hidden gem.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my son to this barbershop and was very pleased with the outcome, the hairstyle was done just as requested and looked even better than previous hair salons or barbershops I been too. For $35 the price is more than competitive for barbershops in the area.

Negative experience: I've been there 6-7 times.. with different barbers.. and i can say that they are very inexperienced. AJ was the only one that cut my hair pretty good. But he is no longer there.

Negative experience: Asked for a mid fade with no hair cut from the top and no line ups and instead got a high fade, hair cut from the top and lineups. On top of that I had to pay 38 even though I was quoted 30. I will never come here again.

Fantastic experience: It is one of the best, if not the best barbershop in the area. Quality, professional services. My barber is Dennis, he gives me a high-quality service when taking my haircut and beard ends with a facial, a massage and a hot towel, he uses high-quality products, I highly recommend him.

Negative experience: I called the previous morning for an appt at 9 am. They said yes. I get there with my son at 9 today.. And Chris and another guy are sitting on the couch. They told me were not open till 925. I said so Don t make appts at 9 he then put his hand in the air and waived me out. It seemed so feminine it was horrible customer service. I w ont be coming back ever. Customer service is Trash. Come to barberizm in Compton. Excellent customer service here and they cut better. No feminine energy.. If you open at 930 why did you say 9 am was fine. That was the second time. You said a paying customer was a bad one Just goes to show hiw horrible your customer service is. Barberizm is the place to go if your reading this. Its in Compton. They open at 730am an theyre customer service as well as barbers are top notch. Good day to you all. What a lovely day.

Positive experience: Higher end barbershop. My fade and beard trim was $48 not including the tip. It was an 8/10 for the price.

Negative experience: EDIT: this place used to be great, now these guys want to charge $60 for a men’s cut, and that was with a student barber who had two other guys help him cut. NO THANKS, Look around for better cuts, they are no longer a great spot. Everyone’s cool, and culturally diverse. Stop by for a great cut by great people

Negative experience: The service I received from this new guy that was there was horrible. I asked for a combo over and dude just cut me straight with the number 12 on top. It's better to make an appointment with the other guys than deal with horrible cuts by a new guy.

Negative experience: I called at 645 pm I spoke with Chris and he told me it was no wait. I drove there and arrived at 6:55 pm and it is now 7:35 pm and one was completely finished and no service was rendered. He started sweeping the floor and they were still open. Extremely poor customer service, I would not recommend them to anyone.The one standing in the photo by the back door was the one started sweeping. All I needed was an edge up, a 10 min service. Also they told me to wait 10 min and still no service. There were no other customers waiting.

Fantastic experience: Showed up without an appointment, but was still ushered right into a chair. Offered a cold drink, and instantly felt at ease. Had my first haircut in quite sometime by Jorge, and I will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience! They are open on Sundays till 5pm. You can't go wrong with them.

Negative experience: The business seems very friendly, “welcome” when I first walked in, speed of service was good I got sat in on a Monday night at 5pm in around 15 minutes. I didn’t get my barbers name but I had asked for a medium fade with a scissors trim on the top to cut the extra hairs on top. He proceeded to give me the highest fade and In doing so had to cut even more from the top to make it look decent. I had shown him a picture for reference and when I said this wasn’t a medium fade he explained there are different variants of fades and I didn’t tell him specifically how I wanted it. I don’t know how to leave a picture of what I have compared to what I asked for but I would definitely want to try this shop again but with a different barber. It’s a cool shop but my first experience was a bad one. Update: this is what I was looking for and this is what I got.

I’m usually picky with my hair cut and have gone to many barber shops but none of them has ever satisfied me when I walk out the way NY Barbershop does. The barber I always go to, his name is Chris, and he’s really professional and every time he cuts my hair, you can tell he cares about the cuts he does and his clients because he cuts it like if it was his own hair with care. He makes sure it looks clean, nice, and makes sure I like how it’s coming out the way I asked for it. The staff and environment is always chill and welcoming. I’ve never felt uncomfortable sitting there. I always call to make an appointment and I’m always seen on time. Definitely a 10/10 for me

Negative experience: They messed up my son’s haircut he was so upset that he was crying and this is not the first time that happens they did it to my husband too so sad that we trust them with our family and they don’t have professional service I’m so upset with this place bcuz it looks like they’re high Something that they don’t get the point of given a good service can you imagine having your kids trusting them and boom they just messed up their hair bad bad bad bad I won’t never let my kid go again

Negative experience: Very unprofessional! I’ve brought my son twice with no issues cutting his hair since he turned 1, all of sudden it’s a issue and not one person was confident enough to handle the job this time. Thank you I’ll take my business else where. Note to owner; Please have warning signs stating that you don’t have properly trained barbers that can handle younger age group costumers. There’s nothing you can possibly do thanks for replying although I couldn’t type my reply!!!
