Fantastic experience: Porshea, or Portia? I should have asked on the spelling, did a commendable job on my hair with my notorious carefree "whatever you think looks good" attitude. Feeling very crisp. Definitely notice the good attention to detail when looking up close in mirror. Even managed to keep the half dollar sized bald spot on the back of my head fairly concealed, despite me forgetting to mention it. Not many can even when I do bring it up before hand. Perfect fit for Pro Moes standards.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and caring for everyone that walks through his door. My boyfriend has been a client for years and treats us like family!

Negative experience: Mo is very unprofessional. He says you cannot do walkin and have to schedule ahead. And when you do schedule ahead of time he will still make you wait for another 20 minutes when you arrive. If you schedule for the earliest slot, you will have to arrive at the barber shop and wait another 15 to 20 minutes for him to arrive LATE to open up his shop. Moreover, when he is already late on schedule, he will cut your hair super fast without a single care how it will look at the end. Also when you try to explain what you want for your haircut, he will be irritated and keep asking for a picture of what you want. Overall he is extremely unprofessional and rude. ALWAYS late on schedule and make his customers wait no matter what!

Fantastic experience: Pro Mo is an understatement. This man goes above and beyond for his clientele. I recently utilized La Moda as a hang out the morning of my wedding. Or as my wife and her bridesmaids like to say “the Groomsmen went to the groomers.” It was a fantastic experience. Mo made all my groomsmen feel welcome and they loved their looks for the wedding. I’ve been a customer for a few years and should have written a review earlier. But this experience sent it over the top for me. If you want your hair cut by someone who loves their craft. La Moda is the place to do it.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. If you can’t cut long hair, you should say that instead of taking someone’s money and then butchering their hair! My husband went in to get a couple inches off with some layers yesterday and this is what he came home with (before is the long hair picture). I’m not sure how the owners, who did his haircut, was able to butcher someone’s hair this much. I’m genuinely shocked because all the reviews were so good and now my husband has to pay someone else to fix this place’s $70 mistake. I’m not sure if it is because he has long hair but I would not recommend this place. Edit for Clarification (8/9): I don't need to go to the barber with my grown husband to know that my husband did not ask for this "style" of haircut. My husband didn't request a "man bun" style as the owner commented, but I don't think it takes a trained eye to see that is NOT what my husband got anyways. According to my husband, the barber combed all his hair to the back of his head and used his clippers to cut it all one length and then never went back in with scissors. The barber just moved on to his beard after pulling my husband's hair up into a top knot so my husband could not see the horrendous cut that had been given to him. It is very apparent that this is what happened just from my review photos. What I didn't put in the photos were the many, many uneven ends from where the clippers did not cut all the way through the hair. And even if scissors were used, I have never received a haircut with that many uncut strands of hair, even from a Great Clips. I don't appreciate the owner trying to act as if this haircut was what my husband asked for when it is blatantly obvious it was a disaster of a haircut from someone who should not have cut my husband's hair.

Fantastic experience: I have been getting my hair cut at La Moda for almost a year now and have always had a fantastic experience. I personally enjoy being able to schedule hair cuts online. I have tried the Delux haircut which includes the cut, style, wash, beard trim, and straight razor. The stylists shows you how to style and maintain your hair for the best after care. The Delux haircut is great before special occasions. The Premium cut is my standard and is always superb. I walked in, didn't know what style I wanted, but explained what type of look I wanted (young professional) and he was able to identify a style that fit me. He also has lots of products available to best suit your needs and offers them at a great price. Overall, always very impressed and will continue to come back during my time in Toledo.

Positive experience: Could of had a better experience but I don't where all the good barbers went they are not here iam going to give them a second chances here in a few weeks I don't like giving bad reviews but I have to also be honest not a good place for a haircut customer services were awful.

Negative experience: I unfortunately won't be recommending anyone to go here any longer. All the good barbers have left this shoppe, hopefully the owners can find good replacements. Our family loved seeing Katie, now that she is gone we will go elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: I loved my experience with moe. He is a great guy that I had an easy conversation with. Easily the best haircut I’ve had (he calls it the wolf taper )and it was only probably 10-15 minutes, with an eyebrow trim too which was . Definitely my go to barber now!

Negative experience: I believe this would be a 5 star place if all barbers were accepting of females with men’s haircuts. I’ve been going to men’s barbers for years and getting men’s cuts including clipper work. I called ahead, they told me to come on in, but when I showed up I was handed a business card for the person “really good with women’s hair” and that she’d be available starting the next day. If I was a male with a “female” cut (or with my men’s haircut) I can’t imagine being turned away. As a female I’m always looking for places that treat me based on my haircut not my gender—just disappointed. Response: I am simply writing this review to inform others in my shoes. I called 15 minutes prior and asked to come in, and you said you were available. Again, if I were a male, would you turn me away as soon as I walked in, after calling to come in? I have never needed a referral to a stylist who does women’s hair, so this experience felt like there were qualifications for the type of client coming in.

The place has a vibrant, cool and professional vibe. Even better is that Katlin took the time to listen which is a forgotten skill. I told her exactly what I wanted along with all the ins and outs of my hair. She delivered above and beyond what my expectations were. Negative experience: Summary: Moe, the owner of La Moda, butchered my husband’s beard. He asked for a beard trim/shaping and to leave the mustache, because he styles it with wax. He got his mustache reduced by half and the rest of the beard thinned out considerably, which was not asked for. It now looks like a bad home job that needs professional help. Details: After growing a beard out and trimming at home for 18 months, my husband decided to finally treat himself to an appointment to see how much better a “professional” could do with his very long, full beard. Boy was that a mistake. I cannot adequately describe the butchery that was done to his beard, but I will do my best since he is not comfortable sharing pics. The mustache was cut way back, and not blended into the beard at all, especially noticeable from a side angle; there is an obvious chin bump where he clippered the lower lip section way back; the lower beard is basically see-through, where it had been thick before; and the beard is generally unshaped with strays everywhere. My husband explained that he styles his mustache with wax, which will not be possible now that it has been trimmed back so much. My husband also pointed out that the bottom of the beard was starting to thin a bit from breakage, wanting that tidied up. Instead, Moe decided to thin out the rest of the beard so the entire thing is scraggly instead of just the ends. He just wanted a trim and tidy with some shaping, not for a complete overhaul of the style and composition of his beard. It was a complete hack job and will take months to grow back out. My husband had previously done a great job trimming and shaping himself just from watching youtube videos. I fail to comprehend how a “professional” could do so much worse. Outside of a terrible result, the other aspects of customer service were also lacking. This horrible experience occurred after booking an appointment on the website, only to be told the appointment was canceled when we arrived. The appointment was booked with Moe, the owner, who wasn’t even there. We were told the appointment was in their system was under a different person who was sick. So even if we had intended to see that person, we were not notified she was sick that day; their system failed to send a text update. We got a call from the owner about a half hour later to see if we could come back, he was going to squeeze my husband in. So at least there was an attempt made to correct the scheduling issue. However, given the awful resulting beard trim, I really wish they hadn’t bothered.

Fantastic experience: Honestly they are second to none. I had struggled to get a good cut that I like. Most of the places I go just do the standard buzz cut and trim, but my hair never lays back down right. But this cut is amazing, he used only scissors and shaped my hair just perfectly. They remind me of the barber shop I used to go to as a kid with my family. They have that wholesome feel, the come hang out for a while. Not just come get a cut a leave. I will definitely be coming back with my son again.

Negative experience: Moe is a great barber if he can make it to his appointments. One time I had to wait for over an hour from my initial appointment to get a haircut because he had other clients in front of me. Other 3 times I would scheduled an appointment online with him during an open slot and when I got there, without any heads up or notification, they told me he was not able to make it to the appointment so I either had to reschedule or cancel my appointment.

Fantastic experience: I have to say this is the best place I've taken my kid to, ever. The person on staff was very friendly and professional. Did an amazing job cutting my sons hair. And he was super quick about it. The environment of the building was really laid back and chill. 10/10 recommend for sure!!

Positive experience: Me and my husband recently moved to Toledo and needed hair cuts. Pro moe did excellent on my husbands hair with the trim and his back and sides high and tight. He did great with my undershave and the design in it but unfortunately he cut off more of my hair than I wanted. I asked for the ends trimmed the same as my husband did and he took inches off saying he did me a favor, I was unhappy as I had been growing my hair out for a year and he cut my hair so short it is back to the original length right before I started growing it out.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Toledo recently and needed a haircut. I am so happy that I found Mo; he was outstanding! He lined up my beard perfectly, shaved my neck with a straight razor and gave me a fresh cut just the way I like it (even though I didn't really tell him, he just seemed to know. LOL!) Fantastic experience: This was my first time at La Moda (as I am new to the area). It was such an amazing experience and Pro Moe was the bomb! Fantastic experience: UPDATE 12/20/2022 - La Moda is a great establishment and ProMoe is still the best barber in town. I've been a regular customer since leaving my initial review and had nothing but excellent service. On 12/20/2022 a large male "Karen" came in 45 minutes late for his appointment while I was waiting for Moe to cut my hair. He demanded to be served immediately and accosted Moe in an unprofessional manner. Moe offered to cut his hair at a later time since he missed his slot, but the man threw a fit and threatened to leave multiple one star reviews, which apparently he did using fake google accounts (sad). Please ignore these - this guy clearly had issues and I was impressed at Moe's ability to keep his cool while dealing with this nut job. Original review: La Moda rules. "Look good feel good" and they mean it! Pro Moe gives excellent cuts and can give you a great style even if you aren't quite sure of what you're looking for. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a great atmosphere and an even better haircut in the Toledo area! They're the best!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting cuts by Mo for over 2 decades, and I’ve never once been disappointed. The man is a true professional and loves what he does. His place is clean and his service is on point, try him out some time you won’t be disappointed !

Fantastic experience: We love La Moda! My father has been distrustful of barbers all of his life but from the first time we came he really enjoyed the La Moda’s cool and comfortable vibe. Moe did an amazing job at listening to what he wanted while still making him look polished and sharp. He walked away feeling confident and looking years younger. Now we always go there for a beard trim and haircut and sometimes for their high quality beard oils and lotions. Moe and his team do so well that my dad, who once didn’t get his haircut for 5 years, now wants to go every few months!

Fantastic experience: went in there without knowing what i wanted. I have never received a cut before so I just let him do his thing and he sorted me out. first barber to ever give me a cut where i like it immediately after. great service. he knows what he is doing and is a true artist

Negative experience: Had a hair cut from the owner Moe. It feels like this guy could run his place better and offer a better product if he desired. He can cut hair ok but doesn't take his time and doesn't really do the extra texturizing and gives little effort to make your hair look its best or the way you wanted at all. He's too confident in his mediocre handiwork. Not as sophisticated of service as advertised. It's too bad because they could have had a regular. Sorry, but not worth the trip and I'll be looking elsewhere in the future.

Fantastic experience: Was very satisfied with my haircut today. La Moda has a nice atmosphere and Moe, who cut my hair, is a friendly and charming guy. He got me all cleaned up for a job interview. I'll definitely miss my long hair but Moe hooked me up God bless.

Fantastic experience: My barbers name is Pat, or @TrickTheBarber. He gives me the absolute best haircut I’ve ever received. I’ve had a lot of ppl chop my mop, but he makes me feel comfortable, holds conversations & is extremely respectful. He don’t get upset w u for cancelling, either. As long as u let him know. My point is that all the barbers r like that. And the prices ain’t ridiculous due to Covid-19.

Fantastic experience: I went into today with a recommendation from a friend and I was not let down. Dylan cut my hair today and was very friendly and gave me his opinion on how much I should cut off and he did an amazing job. He took his time with my hair and made sure everything was perfect for me when I was finished. Booking online was very easy and the place itself was very clean and cook looking. It was the best haircut Ive ever had so I will be back.

I've been to at least 4 different barbers the past year and a half and none of them have been able to do a modern cut that looks good. They were able to find a style that looks great on me.
