Fantastic experience: Amazing barbershop! My cut from Juan was perfect! Super cool vibes and expert cuts.

Negative experience: First and last time I go to this place. I specifically asked for my son's hair NOT to be cut so short from the front, being that he let his hair grow during summer break. Well, he ended up with his hair from the front cut above his eyebrows, something I didn't want. I'm still hunting for a good barber here in Bakersfield for my sons because everytime I ask for a specific style, it doesn't get done. Barbers and stylists get "scissor happy" and end up taking off more than what is asked.

Fantastic experience: When you walk into this barbershop you feel welcomed and everyone there is so chill it's not even awkward if you're going for your first time. I personally go to Dream cuts every time, but I know for a fact every barber in this shop can hook up a good cut because I seen the consistency of satisfied customers such as myself during my experiences there. Not to mention the art work inside, the vibe of the place, and they will also be watching the latest sports or playing the best music. If you haven't been here yet I highly recommend it and they do kids haircuts as well. I personally haven't taken my kid yet because we're growing his hair out but when I do I'm fasho taking that lil foo to Jozay's mf Barbershop!

Negative experience: Horrible service. My wife walked in with my son and waited for about 30-40 min and not one single person had the audacity to ask her what they were there for nor gave her a wait time. Not a single person said a word to her. My son had been coming here for some time now and it has gotten worst every time.

Fantastic experience: Alex really hit the spot my son is 9 and he did really well with him (my son moves quite a bit) we will definitely be going back

Fantastic experience: I live on the East side of Bakersfield and I drive 20 minutes to get my cut from top barber in town, Miggy. With so many spots on the east side, I still rather take the drive and know I’m going to get a fresh clean cut, feel good walking out and know I have much respect to my barber. The place is clean, friendly, open vibes, even willing to work with you. Give them a call and make them Bako hairstyle #1.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for few years now and getting my haircut with Jose. I can appreciate the consistency everytime and the detail with my haircuts. I've also brought my son here and Jose and steven have always exceeded our expectations. I enjoy the atmosphere and the culture that the shop cultivates.

Negative experience: Please, if you have long hair, don’t come here it’s a good place for short hair and not even fades I asked for a taper and they cut my left side of my head shorter than my right side of my head, and then the top of my head was all uneven I had to go to a stylist to get it fixed, and even then she had to cut it even shorter Since how bad they cut it bad experience would never go again I’m whoever has long to medium hair. This place is only for buzz cuts. I don’t know what the hype is all about these five stars definitely not true.

Fantastic experience: I became bold in my late 20’s and I’ve been cutting my hair for the past 20 years clip #1 all around, but for the past 2 months I grew a beard and it needed trimming. I look around and Jozay’s Barbershop had the best reviews so I gave them a try. I booked an appointment on their web site and I got Rigo. He is one of the best, I explained what I wanted and he did a great job. I’m getting my beard done Jozay’s from now on!

Fantastic experience: Made an appointment with Joe after hearing from people how much of a great barber he is. Joe was very respectful and cut my hair the way I wanted it. We had a good conversation and made me feel comfortable for my first time giving him a try. I was not disappointed whatsoever. I’d recommend Joe to everyone. He’s a solid dude!! I’m definitely going back. I found my new barber!!

Positive experience: They are good and fairly priced for a barbershop. Not sure why they labeled black owned when I looked them up on google. They are more 100% Hispanic, not black. Overall professional barber, cleanliness and showed some sports live on TV.

Jeremy not only cut both my boys hair but also made the experience a fun one by talking with them about sports, graduation, and high school. Fantastic experience: Jozay’s barbershop was the first spot I checked out when I moved to Bakersfield 2 years ago and have been with them ever since. Great location and chill people. They always deliver with great cuts, service and atmosphere. Been going to Junior from day one and he truly never disappoints. Just a good dude and even better barber. Fantastic experience: **Update** June 2023. I can’t say enough about this place. It is hard to find a quality Barber these days. The vibe is cool and caters to everyone(kids and adults). It is a great atmosphere and the quality of cuts is superior to any barber I have had. I have a pretty hectic work schedule but love a fresh cut to stay looking professional , plus the wifey loves it. Super easy to book an appointment. Ask for my boy Juan.(J.J.) He can take care of all your needs, for sure. If you are looking for a fresh cut Juan Espinoza is the haircut plug! For the last year we have all been walking around with those COVID cuts. Crazy how much of a difference a great cut makes. Juan is friendly and knows his stuff. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: the environment and scenery is perfect for kids and adults, and each barber knows what they are talking about. i personally go to junior or both Brandon's. they always provide outstanding service and communicate very well with customers. junior has had 2 of my friends who did not know what they wanted for a haircut and he talked to both and recommended a great haircut that both were very happy with in the end. overall this is a very good barbershop and i would recommend to anyone

Positive experience: Juan Espinoza, that’s my barber. Got him on the draw and never looked back. So, I’m old school and barbershops we’re always first come first served. Wait in line for “your” barber. I visited Jozay’s almost two years ago because the were fairly close and had the barbershop vibe, made an online appointment and ended up with a Juan. Was satisfied with the cut and Juan has be my barber ever since. I’m able to text him directly to get a appointment for a cut. So, Jozay’s is not your old school barbershop but it’s nice to be able to make an appointment and get the old school cut. Saves time as well. It’s a barbershop. What happens in the shop stays in the shop. But they do a great job with kids as well.

Negative experience: The barbers are all pretty good but the barber Jermey is not good. He’s very inconsistent with his cuts. My first cut from him was nice but the 2nd time he absolutely destroyed my hair. He made my hair super uneven and now I have yo wear a hat for the next 5-6 months. Dude did too much and destroyed my looks

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. My 3 year old son got his hair cut and the staff did exceptionally well. They had booster seat and bib for kids. They were all friendly. I liked how they paid attention to detail and cleaned up regularly too. They were even able to suggest a style that worked when I wasn't sure exactly what cut to do. They got the kid's haircuts down.

Fantastic experience: This shop was intimidating a first as a single mother to walk into a room of men, but i quickly felt at ease and they are all super nice and professional. My son is only 3 and needs some convincing to get his hair cut but so far each barber (José & Brandon) has been super patient, kind & skilled. I'm grateful to know where to take my kid for a reasonably priced hair cut close to home. The only downside is that my son asks for pizza every time after now because it's next to Rusty's

Unfortunately, he injured his shoulder and is unable to cut my sons hair anymore. I went to several places and no one could get it right. Then I was told to come here to Jozays Barbershop. Of course, I was skeptical. I made an appointment and took my son in. Juan Espinoza was amazing he made me and especially my son feel comfortable, all most like family. Juan Espinoza called my son up to a chair and I watched with a eagle eye. But I did not have to but in or complain about his hair cut. Juan did exactly what I wanted, perfection. Fantastic experience: I went in to this barbershop since I was visiting from Catalina Island and needed an emergency haircut. Had an amazing and professional person named Journey cut me and my son's hair. Most barbers that I have gone through have not had half the patience he did with my son and did an awesome job and I myself thought it was the best haircut I've ever gotten. There is no doubt when i am in Bakersfield I am stopping by to see Journey again.
