Negative experience: I showed the female barber a picture of a slightly cleaned-up version of my current hairstyle. I explained in detail that I didn’t want much off and how I styled my hair. She completely ignored the picture and what I said and basically did her own thing, and cut off the majority of the hair I had to grow out for months, off. I should have walked out and not paid a dime. I’m about to buzz it all off, I can’t believe it…

Negative experience: Dirty razors will never send my son here again. Booked my son for a simple taper/lineup. I asked for a clean edge that doesn’t move his natural hairline and a low fade on the nape. The barber did the opposite: he pushed the lining back at the corners and then took the neck all the way to skin with a foil shaver against the grain. No cool-down, no aftercare, just brushed him off and sent us out. Within hours, the back of his head was burning. By that evening he had a field of bumps/razor burn across the nape (classic clipper rash/folliculitis) We’ve now had to treat it at home with medicated washes and creams, all because the lineup was rushed and the neck was shaved too tight. Technique on curly/coily hair matters. A crisp line follows the existing hairline; it doesn’t push it back. And the nape shouldn’t be foil-shaved to the skin on a kid prone to ingrowns. We paid for a confident cut and left with an irritated scalp and a visibly moved hairline. Won’t be returning.

Negative experience: UNBELIEVABLE. I have been coming to this barbershop for over two years now. I have recommended this place to countless people and have always had good experiences. I have consistently given extra tips and planned on being a long-term customer. Sadly, on 09-05-2025 at 10:15 a.m., I received the worst customer experience I’ve ever had here—borderline bullying. I came in with no disrespect and was seated by a blonde Caucasian female barber, whose name I was not given. I asked for a “mid-taper fade,” which is a real and straightforward haircut. Immediately upon my request, I was met with hostility. She said, “You clearly don’t know what you want.” This barber, who told me she had only been cutting hair for three weeks, then asked for a picture of the haircut I wanted. I had no problem with that and began scrolling through diagrams of fade styles. While I was doing this, she suddenly became offended and reacted with anger. She proceeded to call me “slow” and a “retard”—for simply showing a diagram of a haircut. I immediately stood up and made it clear to the entire shop that an employee had just called a loyal customer “retarded” for asking for a routine haircut. Instead of addressing the situation, the barber told me she could “sense my energy” and that my “energy was bad.” The most disappointing part is that the other, more experienced barbers did not acknowledge the issue at all. In fact, its been informed to me by another customer they validated her false claim that a mid-taper fade “isn’t real.” By doing so, they essentially condoned her behavior and the use of slurs toward a customer. I made it clear that this individual was extremely unprofessional and will make it equally clear to others that this establishment tolerates such behavior.

Fantastic experience: Best barbershop I've ever been to. My 9 year old son absolutely loves it here. Very friendly staff and they always take their time to make sure you look good.

Fantastic experience: I went there today with my son to try a new place because the old one we had was horrible and im so glad we went there. They by far exceeded every expectation I had for a good barber shop they were very welcoming with great conversations. Very comfortable big lounge chairs with cups holders for people who are waiting. A big tv with any show u can think so with lounge chair in front of those for people waiting. While I was comfy In my nice big lounge chair they worked on my sons hair which was better then anyone has ever done is hair. He loved it. They sprayed cologne on him and they tools they use to cut and buzz are incredible. These guys really know how to do there job and they are the best at it. My husband is jealous that he didn't get to take him...lol so next time im gonna have to fight my husband cause im taking him every time to get his haircut cause at this barbershop I don't mind waiting at all.

Negative experience: Unprofessional… Walk ins are available because I called for my fiancé and he ended up waiting an hour, but they let other clients who were also walk- ins go first. If you aren’t a Spanish speaker don’t waste your time.

Negative experience: No appointments just walk ins so you never know who is going to cut your hair. At first I was a little skeptical about this but everyone seemed to do a fantastic job so I kept going. Unfortunately it came to an end when I stopped in and was seated with Jessica. Told her what I wanted and let her go to work. Not once did I get to see what was going on in the mirror to somewhat save myself. Wasn’t till the end was I able to see the results and by this point there was no fixing it. I went home and immediately shaved off my beard and buzzed my head. Would have been 5 stars if I didn’t get this hack job. Sadly one bad apple affects the reputation of the whole business.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for 5 years since I was in high school, and they have always taken care of me and my needs to an absolute T. The owner and all the barbers that work here are super chill, down to earth people and actually care to talk to you and work with your hair type. I have recommended several of my friends to come here and they absolutely love it. An absolute gem in Shorewood. They are constantly reworking the shop to create the perfect environment, and I love seeing the changes every time I come in! Would give 10/10 stars if I could!

If I could give this Establishment 10 stars I’d give them 11. New Edit for today! I decided to bring my dad as he hasn’t been to a genuine barber shop since he was a kid. When he was getting his cut and they whipped out the Razor Blade to trim edges and line him up, He told them that it’s been more than 50 years that he’s had that done. He’s already excited to go back! Gone are the days of going to Great clips for him.

Positive experience: We just want to give a shot out to Barber Shop lounge, I was looking for a local place that does boys perm and I randomly came across their website. I’m so happy that I did, from the hospitality, environment, energy to making my son look fresh for school. We are beyond pleased with their service, Maria did an amazing job with his perm, 25 minutes compared to other shops telling me 3-4 hours. She knows what she’s doing. I unfortunately didn’t get the gentleman’s name who cut his hair but he as well did an amazing job! To say the least we will definitely be back! If you haven’t already go check them out

They loved the atmosphere all the barbers were friendly it was a relaxed setting they gave my grandson and son a freeze pop. That goes a long way with me, because other barbershop's I have taken them to had a horrible atmosphere.not every barber was friendly. One last thing the barbers are excellent, the hair cut each one of my sons, grandson and nephew all had different barbers all had excellent hair cuts. I pay attention to the small details like lines and if the cut is even. The pay attention to details also.

Jessica is very good at paying attention to the details and making sure the finished product is exactly what you showed/told her. She is very talented and most of all a very dependable barber and woman. Positive experience: I showed the barber a pic of what i wanted which was pretty much a blowout taper with a textured top. I didn’t receive what i asked for and got all my sides of my head buzzed… I do like the place though since the people and the atmosphere is really nice, but I’m just disappointed that I didn’t get the cut I wanted.

The barber I went to was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome. He was able to do the exact graphic I wanted and made it look so clean! I went in and was immediately greeted by the most wonderful group of fellers I ever met . I didn't have to wait long before I hopped in the chair and the transformation began. These guys did things u only see in movies, I will tell u this he grabbed his clippers and Boom all I saw was a blur of hair falling and arms flipping all around and then the scissors came out and Boom. I went from the elephant man to the most dashing gent u would ever see. I tell ya what, If ya ask me this is the place to get hairs cut . Stop looking and hop on In Their chair .

Fantastic experience: Classic barbershop. This is where I take my son. The barber named Rafa is super friendly and personable, we do like him but also the owner and other barbers are very nice. Experienced, I highly recommend.

Negative experience: Took my son since it says they open at 10:01 and “no appointments necessary first come first serve” well I sat there for 20 minutes and nothing just a dog in there. They should update their hours and not make people waste their time!
