Positive experience: I will admit, I was a little vague with what I wanted. “I want it cut shorter on the sides and longer on the top”. Halfway through the haircut he asked me for a photo of what I wanted, which again is my fault for not coming prepared. However, he 100% did not follow the photo after he explicitly asked me for one to “get on the same page”. I have a good quality haircut, but not the haircut I asked for. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a fade, but look elsewhere.

Negative experience: Do Not Book On That App! Unprofessional and Rude! I booked a specific time and upon arriving I received a notification from the app asking me to confirm another time slot. I approached the door where you have to utilize a ring doorbell to communicate with this barber. I asked several times what was going on with my time slot and the notification I received. He rudely stated “what’s so hard to understand” and “do what the app says.” I asked for a refund and left. Do NOT ever spend your dollars with someone who speaks to customers in this manner and first time customers at that!

Positive experience: At first, I felt a bit unsure about the location of the haircut appointment, especially since he didn’t answer the phone when I called. Still, I decided to go—and I’m glad I did. When I met him, he was professional and easy to talk to throughout the appointment. The price was also a great deal compared to what I usually pay in Charlotte, where most places charge over $50 in High Point. While he cut a bit more than I typically prefer, the end result was great—he did an amazing job.

We were nervous about how he’d do because this was his first time ever getting a haircut and he typically doesn’t like people touching his hair. John was knowledgeable about hairtcut technique and listened well to my youngest son, who is Autistic, about what he wanted for his hairtcut. He even took a walk in tho he is appointment only.

Negative experience: The barber is unprofessional. He flirted with me the whole time i sat in there with my kid. He even asked me to wash his hair. And the cut was uneven. Felt weird because he locked the door when we came in. Definitely could find better elsewhere for that price.

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t had a haircut due to traveling for work, was worried that I couldn’t find a barber that would be able to take care of my long hair, especially since I knew it was gonna be hard to cut given how curly and long it was, but John did not disappoint at all. He took his time making sure he cut my hair the way I wanted it and made sure I looked a whole lot better leaving then when I did coming in. Negative experience: Made an appointment through booksy for a morning haircut and paid the deposit, when i got to the barber shop it was closed.

Fantastic experience: I booked my first appointment after a decent time looking through all the options and came across Barbers Edge. I found John, who is a gem. As far as the cut, I felt amazing and I got compliments from anyone I spoke to for days after. He is very detailed and won’t let you leave until your hair is looking amazing. I really appreciated the extra attention to details and have seen him twice now. If you want a wonderful experience check him out for sure.

Negative experience: I didn’t really know how most the reviewers marked 5 stars. To be honest this area is disappointing to tell it’s a barber shop from outside. It’s very dirty and muddy all the parking lot and around. If you can look at the picture attached: the cost for kids 16 and under is $25, but this guy charged me $40 for my 14 years old son. On the skills he has is okay. At the first he makes a mess and doesn’t understand what my child told him to do but makes it better later on. With all respect to him and his business, I may or may not back again.
