Negative experience: I'm so furious with the way my beard was cut today. The girl was nice but doesn't understand enough English I think to know what I was saying. I also showed her a previous picture of myself several times and said how I wanted it done. I just wanted a little trim and she cut the sides too short and almost 3 inches off the length. She just shook her head yes after I spoke. She the just took clippers and buzzed one side, what can you do after that? She also dry shaved on my face and neck and my skin is still burning hours later. No hot towel, cream or balm. I had to go back a few minutes later after I realized there were still a bunch of long hairs under my chin that weren't even equal. This is the 2nd mess up and probably my last time. I really need someone who knows what they're doing. So dissapointed.

Fantastic experience: Was not happy with the hair cut. The girl made us rate them a 5 before we even got to sit down for the hair cut. The hair cuts are not even and had to take some where else to straiten it out.

Fantastic experience: Where to start.. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my high skin fade and have been to several shops over the past few years without landing that one barber who fully understood the assignment.. It appears that my quest ended today, thanks to other reviewers recommending a gentleman named Oscar here at BG's #2 in the Sooner Mall.. BG's is a walk-ins only, cash is king (no cards accepted), old school shop with a distinctly modern vibe.. Despite several great reviews alongside a few that just seemed to be trolls, I was skeptical.. Oscar confirmed the reviews mentioning him (and likely others like José and Gloria) were absolutely true.. Oscar understood the assignment.. Now to the service.. After confirming what I wanted done, Oscar got to work, taking his time to ask questions and confirm things along the way.. Once he was done with the high fade he moved onto detailing my beard.. At no time did I check his work until the end.. The cut is fire !! Oscar definitely understood what I asked for to the finest detail and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome.. On top of the great work, Oscar was conversational throughout the service.. Chatting about things like local restaurants and things made the visit very comfortable and easy.. I'll definitely return in another three weeks to confirm today wasn't a fluke.. I highly doubt it and I'm confident Oscar will knock it out of the park each time on my future visits!!

Negative experience: Me and another guy who was Mexican walked in at 7:25 and they told me they were closed for the night. I ran to bath and body works to come back and see them working on two Mexicans that weren’t there when I originally wanted to get my hair cut.

Negative experience: I really tried to give this place a chance, but every time we come it’s a problem. The first time, my son’s haircut was messed up. To be fair, the owner did step in, fix it, and even gave us a free haircut for the trouble. But when we came back to use that free cut, none of the barbers wanted to do it because the owner wasn’t there—apparently they wouldn’t get paid if they did it. Tonight was the last straw. We showed up at 7:25pm for a haircut, and even though their hours clearly say they close at 8 (both on their sign and on Google), the barbers were already walking out the door. One guy looked at us and just said, “we’re closed.” Between the poor communication, lack of professionalism, and constant issues, this shop has been nothing but frustrating.

Negative experience: I went in there showed the barber the exact cut I wanted a video I got from another barber who did the haircut right. So it’s not like I went in there asking for a haircut my hair couldn’t do I’ve had this style before. He said yeah I can do that then messed me up. In the video I had a fringe type thing down to my eyebrows. He cut the to like a third of the way down my forehead. The back was supposed to be a modern mullet but he didn’t even touch it so now it’s just overgrown and not styled at all. The fades on the sides were alright. $50 for the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. Do not go here

Fantastic experience: Gloria was fantastic. Needed to get my beard shaped and my hair trimmed. She understood exactly what I needed, and took her time to make sure it was perfect. If you get to sit in her seat, you don't have a thing to worry about. I found my new barber for sure.

Negative experience: I couldn’t get into my normal barber, so I decided to try this one. I fully regret it. The lady I got was very disinterested in cutting my hair and was rude. She asked what I’d like and I showed her a picture of me right after my last haircut- 2 on the sides and enough to spike up the front. What proceeded in the 40 minutes of silence was her jabbing her long fingernails in my eyes repeatedly, catching my ears with her tools, and completely not doing what I asked. End the end I basically received a little longer than a buzz cut all over except for missed patches on the side of the front with about a half inch combed down my forehead. When she showed me the mirror there was nothing that could have been salvaged. The worst haircut I have ever received and I’ve had some done in the bathroom by untrained friends during Covid times. She also messed up the sides of my beard which I did not ask for at all. It doesn’t match. Honestly just so terrible.

I am currently traveling and needed a hair cut for a meeting so I tried out BG’s in the Sooner Mall. I was a bit nervous but I probably just got the BEST hair cut I ever had. The entire experience was awesome and I will definitely be back anytime I’m in town. I highly recommend BG’s and would give them 10 stars if I could!

Negative experience: Was not very happy with the men's cut. The barber buzzed the side so far back on my left side and didn't do the other side the same. Im not sure why he was trying to "change" my hair line but I will have to wear a hat for at least 2 weeks then try to have it fixed.

Negative experience: Absolutely will never go back to any of their locations. My son got a haircut from a lady who couldn't understand what my wife asked her to do. She cut his hair so short there was no fixing it. The manager/owner came over to look at it. He blamed his fine hair in the front. I will NEVER go back. They only take cash and it was $75 for our haircuts. Total ripoff. Avoid at all costs. I've gotten a better haircut from Great Clips for $8.99.

Well hell, I wasn't sure if It was good or not, paid and left. So get home rinse the hair and attempt to form it in the style that suits me. She cuts it just like I want without having to re- explain it every time, and I’ve never had to wait more than one haircut to get her. Negative experience: So upset. My daughter originally got a bad haircut somewhere else because of the original person we had scheduled not showing up. Went here to get it fixed, as my husband was there getting his haircut. Thought the lady was sweet to let us wait to get Jude in, only for her to COMPLETELY ignore my wishes & make my daughter’s hair look 100 times worse than it was before we got in. The pic in the green is the before—uneven in the back, but as you can see it only need HALF AN INCH MAX cut to make it even. I told the lady she was cutting it too short when I saw the back & she said it had to be to make it even—when it absolutely did NOT…so I asked to PLEASE keep the length in the front, and NOT to cut her bangs at all….let it be shorter in the back and taper to longer in the front like a bob. She then proceeded to cut THREE INCHES from her hair and STILL cut her bangs. My child now looks like Lord Farquad & there’s nothing I can do to make it look right. I just don’t understand how someone can literally OPENLY ASK for a hairdresser not to do something and they do what they want anyway. Just pure MEANNESS, and to a little 5 year old girl, at that.

Fantastic experience: This shop is always busy but if you don't mind waiting, you will get great haircut and beard trim. I had 3 different barbers so far and none of them disappointed me. I think it's my new favorite haircut place

Negative experience: My second visit will be my last. When discussing how I’d like my beard trimmed, I told the barber to leave an inch of length around the chin area. She took that to cut the entire beard down to 1/8”. My beard is so short I can see skin under its entirety. It’s a shame that the greater metropolitan area of OKC lacks proficient beard trimmers. My recommendation, if you want a beard artist, go see Chuck at Carwin’s Shave Shop. He’s an interesting cat but you’ll leave with an amazing looking beard!
