Fantastic experience: My stylist was super awesome and pleasant, was very professional and congenial. Definitely will be back!

Negative experience: This isn’t for me. This is for my boyfriend who is too nice to say stuff but I paid for this so I don’t care. I had to beg him to get a haircut for my birthday/our anniversary. His normal person was on vacation so he tried out this place. He has longer hair, only wanted about 3inches off. He got sent in with long hair and came out looking like he just got back from boot camp. He likes layers in his hair. There’s no layers. I’ve gone to multiple hairdressers with him and know he communicates to the T on what he wants. He said while he was trying to explain the stylist kept getting distracted and talking about how ‘crappy’ her finances presents were to her. This is ridiculous and not worth the $55 I spent on his hair cut. Now he’s so upset he doesn’t want to go out to dinner since he looks bad.

Fantastic experience: This place is incredible, not only do they make great drinks the cuts are on point! Honestly the best service and the best cuts at any hair place I’ve ever been to!

Pouring good drinks is part of the service and the store is clean and welcoming. I'll continue to schedule my needs with these folks.

Fantastic experience: S&S has wonderful & welcoming staff and stylists! Also, very reasonably priced for their services! This is my 2nd time at the (Legacy West O location) My stylist, Amy (very highly recommend) has done a wonderful job with my haircuts! To make it even better, don't forget to stop in for a drink after your haircut, with seasonal drink menus as well!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. Had a beard sculpt and hair style and was treated like a king.

Negative experience: Appointment scheduled for 12pm got there at 11:45 and was brought back right away only for them to sit me down and almost start my haircut when they realized I was the wrong person. I then was led back ti the front where I waited until 12:30 to finally be brought back with a different stylist. I then showed the stylist pictures of what i wanted front view and both sides for my hair and beard and told her I usually go with fingerish length on top and a 2 down to a 1/skin on the sides. She then proceeds to buzz my entire head. I didn't stop her because once she was to far up it was to late. I did let the hostess know and she was very apologetic and gave me a discount. I get shit happens but like come on a full buzz cut? I use to go to this place all time in Omaha and Desmoines but looks like I will bot be going back. $80 for them to mess up your cut is just not worth it.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful haircut and Kayla was great, bar space was excellent and somewhere I’d watch a game.

Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked in the entire environment was welcoming and made me feel relaxed. It was my first time at this place, so I tried their 20 year plan. The entire experience was something that I have not found anywhere else. I had a massage that had me almost falling asleep, my hands feeling smooth and soft for the first time in about 20ish years. They took great care to ensure I had everything I needed to look sharp and clean. Most people would say the bar and getting a drink before or after the cut would be the best part but for me it was the cut itself that was the best part as each step they ensured I was involved to give me a perfect haircut and make me feel like what I wanted mattered. Thank you to everyone at Scissors and Scotch for the experience and I will definitely be back.

Negative experience: The women who cut my sons and my hair were awesome and did a great job. That’s the only good. Price shock when I went to pay and it was $140 before tip. Did get a free alcoholic beverage but being 2pm and with my child didn’t drink all. Had to wait to check in as receptionist does double duty as bartender. Come back 8/11 to do dad & daughter hair event 5pm. Wait 10min before being acknowledged and then receptionist guy has no idea about the event. He calls someone then tells me it was cancelled due to not having enough staff for the event. Took my phone number and said someone would call me. Nobody ever reached out. Had a very disappointed 8 year old daughter and a dad who still does crappy ponytails.

Fantastic experience: As a new Nebraska resident, I’m so glad I found this place. They exceeded all my expectations and I really felt comfortable letting someone else touch my hair after seeing the same barber for 6 years at my previous location in WA.

Negative experience: Went in with a specific haircut in mind and showed stylist what I wanted. The next day I washed it and tried styling it but wasn't what I wanted. I contacted them to let them know I was unhappy with cut and went in to get it fixed. The cut looked great wet but when dried it looked ugly (I tried styling it and was not satisfied). I ended up giving myself a buzzcut at home.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. Every person I've ever interacted with here is always professional and polite. I always feel fresh when I leave and like my haircut. The owner has even taken time to introduce himself and interact with me making me feel welcome, which I have never experienced at other salons. What is amazing to me is that out of 1,500+ reviews only 30 felt the need to rate it three stars or less. It is just a testament to what great service they provide.

Fantastic experience: Since our favorite barber retired, we’ve been on the hunt for someone who is available AND gives a quality teen boy cut. Lately, the past couple of cuts at other places have left my son with crooked obvious lines and unfinished looks, unfortunately. And for an almost teen, that’s a confidence killer. Amy at Scissors and Scotch listened, made my son feel important, cut his hair exactly like he wanted, styled how he liked and showed him how to style himself and work with his cowlick with some helpful tips. And he walked out with a huge smile and new confidence! Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: I bring my 10 year old son in to see Kaleigh R. My son is autistic and nervous about clippers and she is absolutely fantastic with him. He also has a double colic in the back of his head and she is the first stylist I've taken him to that knows how to cut it so it doesn't stick straight up in the back. An added bonus is that my son is now so comfortable with Kaleigh that he goes back by himself and is all smiles when he comes up front to get his sucker. I just cannot express how thankful I am to have found Kaleigh.

Best haircut and beard trim I have ever received. I actually look good. That never happens anywhere else. Shout out to Ashly as well. This is a place for winners, staffed by winners. I can’t even think of anymore adjectives to lay upon Scissors and Scotch; wish I had a thesaurus. This place is that damn great.

Positive experience: Friendly, free drink is always a plus. My haircut was early morning and was able to get a cup of coffee instead of alcohol. My barber was nice and did a good job. Nice that they have a bar connected, although there was some empty glasses on the counter but I understand they were a little busy and they got it cleaned up soon after I sat down.

Fantastic experience: First time there and brought my son in for a fancy prom cut. (he got the scissors, I got the scotch) Both loved his haircut and my French 75 cocktail was delicious. Will come back again for sure!

Fantastic experience: First time at Scissors & Scotch. Nicole was my stylist and she was wonderful. The haircut and beard trim were excellent, the scalp and shoulder massage was worth the price of admission, and the hand wax treatment paired with the hot tower were 2nd to none. Highly recommend the 25 year, best 90 minutes of your day.

Fantastic experience: My first time visting S and S. Mitchell was by far more knowledgeable about beards and upkeep then any Barber I have met. I have been growing it for 6 or 7 months and I always get to a point where I lose my mind and shave it off because I can no longer maintain it in the mirror. Thought it was going to be expensive at 40 bucks but Mitchell said it was only a trim and not a full sculpt for $20. I wouldn't have gladly paid the 40 for his time. Dont let his youth fool you, he is a complete professional and this place is lucky to have his talents. He gave me some things to try and steered me towards products that were better suited to my beard and the corse hair I have. My 18 month old daughter loves my beard so thanks for helping me not disappoint her by shaving it short again. I will be seeing Mitchell again. Cheers

Negative experience: since my husband is too nice to say anything, i will gladly do so. my husband went in for a trim and the gal who normally does his haircuts, Becki, was booked, so he saw Ashley. Ashley completely botched his neckline and what was supposed to be a trim, turned out short on the sides and long on top??

She also showed him how to style it and recommended product to use. $36 plus tip which seemed reasonable for a cut and style. I had a beer and watched football. What more can you ask for? Negative experience: Made appointment 1 week in advance. moved meetings for this appointment. checked in 15min early sat for 30min with no response. canceled appointment after waiting so long with no interaction from employees. Received a text 10 min after leaving saying sorry. This was my fist time trying somewhere new what a disappointment why have appointments if they cant be kept?

Fantastic experience: Just had my first haircut and experience at Scissors & Scotch. It was great. Everyone from staff to fellow customers were great. Being able to enjoy a cocktail before my haircut was a new experience that’s pretty neat.

Mitchell kills it every time not only with his ability to cut hair, but he will keep the conversation flowing to make his experience that much more enjoyable. Switching barbers can be eerie to most, but you cannot go wrong with this switch.
