Negative experience: I was very surprised by my experience here. I asked for my usual haircut (3 mm on top and a skin fade on the sides), but was refused and told that “the weather is not suitable” for this haircut. I have never encountered anything like this before. Advice is always welcome, but the final choice of haircut should be up to the customer. Unfortunately, no clear explanation was provided. Disappointing experience.

Fantastic experience: Sound lads and do a great job. Take special care and attention to detail. Reasonable prices. Take walk-ins as well so handy if need something last minute. Would recommend for sure.

Negative experience: 30/05/2026 14:30 arived at the shop . Fellow doing cuts but doors locked been told closing soon. Opening hours stated open till 6. Came all the way from Castlebar. And its not first time when see shop closed during opening hours . Really disappointed

Negative experience: 100% would not recommend getting a haircut hear. The 2 barbers started arguing in their own language because one was finishing early and there was a few people waiting to get the hair cut. Didn’t half cut my hair did not fade my hair at all, frindge is not straight at all with big gaps in it. Still charged full whack. Wouldn’t give them one star

Fantastic experience: Two of the soundest lads I know running this barber shop , into them every Thursday and always do a great job . Best barber in Ballina in my opinion . Reasonable price too and if you’re looking for a good haircut I’d say pop into these lads no appointments just walk in . Always have a good time for the two lads in there very polite and friendly to any customer that comes in.

Negative experience: I was in here thursday 22 sept, never again, €25 euro for a shave that i didnt get, rip of shower of turks

Negative experience: I went for a haircut here today and I always get a skin fade cut and this barber did a decent job on the fade but decided to chop my whole fringe off on one side as seen in the photos and charged 25 euro for something I didn't want and I hate how it looks. I've used gabbeys Turkish barbers for the last 3 years and I've been in all his shops mainly westport every 2nd week in those 3 years but since Julie has left the shop in westport I will not be using any of his shops again. I was extremely disappointed to hear she left as she was the best barber he had as you where guaranteed a great cut every single time and made you feel welcomed and comfortable and a great people person

Negative experience: Sat there for 45 minutes while he cut a completely bald man's hair?! No exaggerating, this man was 100% bald, I'm sure he was asleep in the chair too. I left after 45 minutes as I couldn't see an end insight for what he was doing. The barber never said hello or spoke a word to any of the 3 customers waiting. If had at least acknowledged we were there it may have been ok but that never happened. I must also say that this was at half 10ish, so not a busy time. Just a poor service and bad manners
