Negative experience: I have been going to this barber since 2018 but I’ve actually been disappointment with the decline in this place over the last few years. When I first started going, there were a small number of barbers that were all very reliable, however it has changed a lot since I started going. A lot of new barbers joined and the old barbers left but I found the new staff to be more rude, act uninterested and just not care lol. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still maybe 2 reliable barbers in this spot, but you’re taking a risk when you enter this barbershop. I decided to start booking specific barbers so I didn’t get one of the bad ones but when you go in, they don’t respect the bookings and I’m forced to go to the barbers that I didn’t book, I never want to act rude so I just go along with it only to be so disappointed and regretful of giving this place yet another chance. My final straw was when I went to this place the last time, one of the girls took me, she was acting very hyper, she was all over the place, making such random conversation. Her behaviour was so erratic and weird, she done the absolute worst job on my hair, and I just said to myself, that I’ll never go to this barbershop again.

Negative experience: I had an awful experience in the two times I went to get my haircut here . The first time the woman who was cutting my hair left half way to chat to some guy outside the shop and made the trainee barber who was sat in the corner to cut my hair for the remainder and she ended up ruining my hair. The 2nd time it was some young lad who wouldn't chat at all and kept yanking my hair and did a pretty mediocre job. Overall I would steer well away.

Negative experience: Updating my review, previously 5 stars , always used to use this barbers but the fella I got yesterday was one of the worst barbers I got in my life very uneven and rough haircut, then was told it’s “just 17 euro” , he’s letting his fellow barbers in the shop down and shouldn’t be allowed a practice there , very rude and unprofessional, won’t be returning, should be obvious who it is too

I paid up to 25€ just an hour down the road in sligo! Spotless as always and the revamp the barber shop got in recent years is unreal. Highly recommend to anyone and you will always get value for money here!!

Negative experience: I went to this Barber Shop a week before my son’s communion. I asked for a 3 on sides and scissors on top and then to blend both. (Barber decided to do 2 on sides) The barber gent that cut my son’s hair was asked three times to blend more as I did not want a mushroom look. I eventually said it was alright as I didn’t want him skint. When I arrived home my husband said it was the worse haircut ever. I knew it too. Went to another barber and she thankfully done as I asked. Furthermore when I contacted this barbers I was quoted €13. I was then charged €14. On the website Booksy your barbers charge €12 under 11 years of age. My boy is 8 years old! It’s so inappropriate seeing one girl on her phone crouched up on a styling chair and another slouching by the mirror looking at her phone also. Meanwhile the floor is filthy with hair from previous client left on the ground. There’s plenty of competition so you’s need to pull up your socks!

Negative experience: Went once before and got a fine cut at a decent price. Unfortunately my second time was literally the worst haircut of my life, to the point I had to book into another barbers to correct it. The hair was unevenly cut, in parts it was left very long and others chopped, fringe was a disaster, neck wasn’t shaved either. After the hair cut I also was having a beard trim, this too was badly done with line being higher on one side than the other among other issues. After explaining and trying to correct it for the third time I just had to stop, paid but I won’t be back. Also the smell of nicotine was unpleasantly strong on his fingers and on my face after, the time he took was almost an hour, the hair cut was painfully slow. I’m sure on average the haircuts are decent but it would be criminal to let barber I had that day within ten foot of a pair of scissors or clippers. Edit responding to reply: It is the barbers besides Harneys Jewellers, I believe this is the right barbers. The shop doesn't do card payments so I got it at the AIB ATM at 13:46 on Tuesday, barber in the last seat on the right, their was a woman barber in the next seat if that helps narrow down who cut my hair that day. May have not been nicotine but had a strong similar smell to nicotine. I know and I am sorry this is a bad review but it was my experience, I had a graduation the following day and could not book my usual place but as my first experience at your barbers was fine I thought this one would be too.

Fantastic experience: BEST barber shop in Longford town!! This shop is modern & has a great buzzing atmosphere. Staff are always very friendly, efficient and welcoming!!! Alan's shop is a clear leader in the field of wheelchair accessibility with no step access to the premises & two removable barber chairs to allow customers in wheelchairs to roll in and out of the shop with ease! Alan himself is a great young businessman - a shop with many generations of barbering. Keep up the excellent work!
