Positive experience: Nice traditional vibe barbers- Wassim did my hair cut (short back and sides tapered to an almost mohawk at the back keeping the curls) and beard trim- considered and careful but a bit timid- felt like the clippers went over each patch barely more than once and didn’t touch my scalp- like the opposite of a Turkish barbers! Ultimately a fair job but I think I’m looking for something a bit more modern and “trendy” focussed.

Fantastic experience: Have been there with my two sons. All three cuts looking good, at moderate price. Used scissors rather than clip the head all around. Highly recommended. Will be back!

Negative experience: I had a fade from Wassim and well to say the least the fade was non existent. He also cut my hair too short messing up my fringe. I visited Deano who previously worked at Mutley Barbers. Deano managed to fix my fade, fringe and greeted me with a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Proper separation shielding between chairs, which are cleaned and sanitised between cuts. Staff wear visors / masks. Thinking you need a haircut but a bit unsure Their precautions certainly beat other barbers go for it

Negative experience: Skin fade, isn't a skin fade, it looks half finished, this is a really bad haircut. I'm not impressed given the really good reviews this place gets, it's what attracted me in the first place. Won't be going back!!

Negative experience: First and last time going today. Asked for a skin fade. Got nothing like it. Runner up for a lockdown special haircut.

Fantastic experience: Every town and city nowadays seems to consist of nothing more than barber shops and nailbars. Mutley Barbers however are different insofar as their staff are experts. Having had a botched haircut elsewhere Kevin spotted the problem immediately and we then embarked on a course of remedial actions to address the issue. I can't recommend them enough.

Negative experience: I asked wassim for a skin fade. He shaved my head bold as the start of the skin fade and I was waiting for him to use the different guards to start fading it but he didn’t. He left it how it was and said that was the fade. I didn’t want to cause a scene and complain but I had to go to my barber Deano ( who used to work at Mutley ) barber afterwards to fix my skin fade. I will not be going to Mutley barbers again as this hair cut was so poor .
