Fantastic experience: Had a cut with D today. He was friendly and professional and really put his heart into making it a good experience. Great service and a pro.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. We were asked to leave just a few seconds into my two-year-old’s haircut because he was “too loud.” We drove from Surrey based on the great reviews, hoping for patience since he has anxiety around haircuts. The barber was kind and did try, but the front desk told us to leave almost immediately. There seemed to be very little tolerance for a young child who was struggling. For a business that presents itself as family-friendly, this was incredibly disappointing and embarrassing for our family.

Negative experience: asked for a low taper (a fade maybe 2 inches high max) - ended up shaving both sides of my head straight off after savouring 8 months of growth, please stay away as far as you can from this place.

Fantastic experience: Got a great haircut from D, took his time and made sure I left looking great.

Negative experience: They completely messed up my hairline didn’t even need to touch it just out of no where turned it in the McDonald’s sign

Negative experience: My son had a hair cut, after the hair cut had multiple scratches from the clippers. Even had small cut hairs left on his face. My husband went back to let them know but the front desk just said they put alcohol on the scratches. I went back thats the time they got a towel to clean my son's face and offered a discount on the next visit.

Fantastic experience: Got a modern mullet from Josh, and I’m super happy with it. He’s very fun to talk to and has a great attention to detail. It’s clear that he’s very passionate about his work. Definitely would recommend.

Negative experience: awful experience. charged 55$ for a cut and beard trim where the barber used the buzzer for 99% of the cut, didn’t blend anything then stretched out the cut time to 1 hr when it usually takes 30 minutes. Beard wasn’t trimmed at all. long hairs everywhere, missed spots all over the front and back of my neck. I could go on and on but just going to recommend do not go to this location. Been visiting tommy guns for 10 years and this experience was the worst.

Negative experience: Not happy Went in asking for a classic mid length and when he said he was done I had a mullet with short cut sides. I can't believe this kid is allowed to cut hair here. In the end I had to coach him on how to cut my hair. I should have asked for a refund. Some advice for Tommy Gun's: properly vet your barber's and make sure they can offer the hair cuts you advertise on your website, otherwise it's considered false advertising. It's clear to me that you have no quality control standards in your operations. Changed from 1 star to 2 because the manager reached out to me to offer a free hair cut. To be honest I appreciate the offer, but your business lost my trust.

Fantastic experience: Nothing but positive reviews from me. Mona has been an angel of relaxation as she massages, washes, detoxifies and cuts my hair. She totally invests herself in breaking up stress-related knots of muscle and re-energizing my scalp. Aromatherapy, head massage and fabulous styling. Can’t ask for a better escape from the stresses of daily life, and leaving with a cut & style that leaves me feeling 20 years younger. Experience the magic of a stylist who cares!

Negative experience: Been going here since they first opened but over the past year or two it has gotten progressively worse as the original staff turned over. Uneven cuts, poor listening/English skills and different staff every few months, and most of the "trademark" Tommy Guns services that are supposed to be always included have disappeared (scalp massage, hot towel finish, etc.). But most importantly, I always leave and then wash and style my hair and end up having to either manually trim it where they missed something, left it too long or uneven, or going back for another cut (maybe that's the strategy) to fix it. Today was the last visit for our family. Keenan Fisher and his franchisees have got a lot of work to do on training, quality control and customer experience. It is not the same place as it used to be.

Negative experience: it was my brothers 3rd time going there before and they messed his hair up so poorly every time he asks for just a TRIM but then they continue to cut off almost all of his hair at this point and i don’t recommend.

Negative experience: Worst barber L ever , I asked for an burst taper and I got just all skin cut to the top of my fade, there wasn’t even an fade at all, even when I told the person for an fade. The picture I showed was an low burst if I had to fall it , but the fade I got was so high. I also got burned by the clipper because its was too hot. The barber shop used to be by go to spot, but after today get butchered and paying 40$ I will never go there again. As a barber myself the person who cut my hair was an absolute beginner, with no skill. It’s seems like Tommy gun is letting regular people just cut there. The cut is so bad I have to wait 1 month till it’s long enough so I can go to my new barber. This cut is like an beginner practicing on me and I still had to pay so much

Fantastic experience: Looking for a trim, style or straight razor shave? This is a great spot. Lots of staff to get u in the barbers chair with minimal wait, if any. The staff are friendly and patient with my fussy kids. Wether I'm at Tsawwassen Mills or North Nanaimo mall it is always crazy busy when I’m there over holidays but Tommy’s guns is like a calming oasis where I can just relax knowing I’m in good hands. My kids hate haircuts but actually don’t mind this place. My boys are tuff customers but I can count on the staff to get the cut done fast and to get a laugh out of them. Negative experience: Avoid this place at all costs. Most of the barbers here are subpar, but the one with blue hair and several tattoos gave me the worst haircut of my life. I left with multiple cuts on my scalp—it felt more like a joke session in someone’s garage than a professional barber shop. She even claimed she’s been cutting hair for 38 years, which is hard to believe given she couldn’t manage a basic fade. Completely disappointed and definitely not coming back.

Negative experience: For 40$ I don't expect to get clawed by a hairdresser or whatever the term is like if one of them is going to cut my hair at least don't have 2 inch pointed nails aswell as leaning on my leg while trying to get a angle when cutting my hair like the least you can do is back away a little bit and not rub against my leg while trying to cut my hair. Honestly I wouldn't have even paid for that haircut if I had the option and I'm not even gonna go through the trouble to get a refund all i ask is that you talk to your employees or whatever about personal space and not turning into Wolverine and scratching me. And right after I left I went to lidz to get a hat to cover up whatever you would call what I received. Hell I didn't even like the hat I bought it was solely to cover it up. Honestly I wouldn't never come back I'd rather go to Billy'S across the street and listen to the dude yap about the social and economical state of the world right now while cutting my hair for a better price and service at least they know what they're actually doing.

The person that does my hair cut is very respectful, and she’ told me what is the best haircut for me. Negative experience: AVOID THIS BARBERSHOP. I will not recommend this this Barbershop to anyone. Last week I was in Tsawwassen for shopping and since I needed a hair cut I went there, I don't have a complicated hair, I got a short hair and just needed a fade, which I was super clear about my expectations "that I want a medium fade only"... but this guy which I don't remember his name screwed my hair, I even doubt that he knew the basics... I had to attend a party that night and I was so pissed... I even tried to tell him to at least fix it a bit, but he failed to do so. I would attach a picture of me, but I am not feeling confident to do that... I had to come back and sit with anther barber to do some extra work on my fade but didn't worked at all... So I had go to another barbershop paid $60 to rework on the fade I just had... I called them and asked for a refund since I had to pay to another barber, but they ignored me.. Totally disappointing

It definitely feels like I'm paying a lot for very forgettable decor, when really id rather they had less cringey "man cave" B.S. and charged better prices. On the whole worth it if you can walk right in, but I would never bother waiting.

Fantastic experience: It’s the full experience. I’ve never been to a place where with a standard haircut they wash your hair at the start AND the end! So you don’t have to walk around with loose hairs all day. Scalp massage, and mini facial. Even offered a drink at the end… wild. It might seem a little expensive but they justify their price with all the extras. I had Lorenzo and he was amazing

Positive experience: I’ve been going here for years and I will say you need to know which stylist you want. Lately it feels like a training ground, and I understand their business model, but being given two rookies for my last two cuts has left me with two terrible haircuts in the last few months. Nothing anyone wants is to leave feeling worse than when they walked in and not having confidence the person at the time can fix it. There are great staff there so moving forward I will make sure to book them.

Negative experience: This is perhaps the only review I have ever done on any service, however I feel my experience warrants this. It used to be my favourite place to go for a haircut when Ashley worked there. Very professional and did a great job every time. The staff turnover seems to be very high and as it was the case today the quoted wait times are ridiculous. Today I was quoted a somewhat reasonable 30 minute wait so I chose to be contacted via text - mind you there were hardly any customers- and when I decited to come back the place was empty and upon inquiring I was told that one staff was coming off a break and the manager had to step out for a half hour. That left the young man there pacing back and forth trying to find people. I wonder why wasn't he cutting my hair....oh yeah, he decided to text me when I was inquiring about all this. I don't usually write reviews because there are real people behind the scenes and there are kids starving in this world, so this is in my view a petty complaint; however I work really hard and Tommy Guns used to be one my favourite places to go and have a great haircut . I used to tell everyone about this place...

Negative experience: According to Google, it is considered one of the best places to go for a clean shave. However, in my personal experience, it was one of the worst shaves I have ever had. The environment was clean, but the service was not very professional. I ended up with a lot of cuts, and even after washing my face, there were still many hairs left unshaved. Personally, it was a terrible expense. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional shave. If I want a quality experience, I will stick with Tommy Jon. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for a bit now but today I had Mona Lisa cut my hair. Wow full treatment from hot/cold towel to scalp/sholders/chest message. To what I would call a full on facial. She well exceeded what I would call a hair cut and made the experience full spa like. I will definitely be requesting her from now on.

Negative experience: Wouldnt disclose name: but Inexperienced hairstylist it was a disaster . Do not recommend. Hopefully educate themselves on the hairstyling tips and perfection and add to professionalism. Uneven hair length, messed up fade. Uneven beard trim, crooked neck line. NO SERVICE PROVIDED AS ADVERTISED SCALP MASSAGE OR A HOT TOWEL.

Negative experience: I regularly go to Tommy Guns, as the quality was always consistent for a cut. My experience here was awful though at this location. I received a traditional easy cut before a wedding, and the cut was uneven by a long shot - see photo below. Not to mention everything was rushed. I didn’t notice when it was styled, but after I left I had an additional one inch on one side of my head. The bangs when I pulled them down were also uneven and diagonal. I went back to get it fixed, which I debated doing as I thought about just going somewhere else to get it fixed. I had to show the uneven cut in multiple places that still didn’t get fixed and made things worse. There was no compensation or understanding from the staff at the front. As a loyal customer for years, I will never go to Tommy Guns again. I rarely provide reviews, but after that experience I caution people from getting a cut here. Has ruined an upcoming event on my end for a wedding.

Fantastic experience: Hi I am business man and i like to respect other business’s reputation also. Today i went for haircut walkin and they said yes we can do that and a lady cut my hair. She is excellent in cutting hAir but i dont know why she smells like angry . Always i feel shy when i go to see barber, but this time i was in guilt all the time sitting there. IDK what i did bad to her. Its like 40 min drive to my home from the shop and i was thinking all the time of her and feel guilt . When i tried to talk to her politely she showed me some frustration. I am easy come easy go , but it does not mean anybody can show expressions disrespectfully Afterall everything happened i put my Tip also and she triggred my Trauma with disrespectful body language . If she is not happy , i am more than happy to find her a job which will really help her state of my mind. I wanna say to her Life is beautyfull but she needs to break the bubble with her barber’s scissor.

Negative experience: Went in looking for some hair product. Didnt find the staff helpful at all. I asked if they knew of a similar brand to the one I used because apparently the brand I use was discontinued. They could have shown me something similar, but had no apparent product knowledge and gave off complete indifference to want to help a customer. Is this place privately-owned, because your staff aren't interested in moving your product.

Negative experience: My son and SO have been long-time customers. I don't know what's going on, but twice now they have come home with terrible hair cuts. They tell them what they want, and they still can't get it right. Unfortunately, they will have to find another barber. Mind you, we will live vancouver.

He cut it so slow which is I understand, he seems a very nice guy as well but I don’t like what he did to my hair. I wanted to go back to this location to re done but very far to my place. I always go to Guildford area and they always do fantastic job. I hope I can get a refund with this because I am not really happy .

Negative experience: Booking ahead does not work. You think you have a ballpark time, leave home, drive there and discover it doesn't actually work. You are not in the system, it turns out. This has happened twice. Once I thought it was my fault, second time not so much. Turns out this happens a lot. Pretty frustrating when it is later in the day and they don't now have time to take you. What a waste of time. Nothing offered to make up for the inconvenience. Time for a new barber.

Negative experience: This was my barbers since they opened 5 years ago. My last 2 visits were horrible. The barbers I got must of been students, they had no experience and butchered my hair. Sad to see Tommy Guns high quality go downhill. Expressed my experience to their customer service team and was told someone would follow up. Its been 2 weeks and I've heard nothing. So much for customer loyalty, hope they can find their form again as they used to be very good.

Fantastic experience: I got a haircut here in twassen T.G. Great establishment and conveniently located inside a cool mall. Check-in was a breeze and there was no cue. The staff were friendly, I got Vicky as my barber. Super chilled guy and he gave me a great skin fade. He was very meticulous and made sure all the sides of my head were even. Scalp massage and style was a great addition to the service. Overall, a top notch customer service! Will definitely go back again.

Positive experience: Tommy guns has always been pretty consistent with their hair cuts, and this one was no different. Looks great! What irked us was the fact that they said that the beard trim was promotional and then they charged for it. Also, we paid cash and they didn't even give us the option to tip our change back, they just kept it. When we mentioned that it was pretty rude to assume we wanted to tip that much or tip at all, the lady at the til just turned around and kept on with anything but discussing our issue with us. That IS STEALING! A tip is the choice of the customer. I'm not saying that we wouldn't have tipped that, or even more, but not being given the option leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
